I think when was i watched jayplays play wolf quest, she mentioned the dark pelted wolves have less chance of being sick and better chance of healing more than the lighter colours

I really loved this endcard and the association with marigolds and the fragility of life. It was a beautiful blend of botany and poetry, and a fitting elegy to a lost pup. As for the pups - poor Calypso. In some ways she had it the hardest, watching both her sisters slip away and wondering if they would be lost like her other two sisters. Parsley definitely will have some survivor's guilt as well. It's worth mentioning that parsley plants do flower. They lack the striking beauty of marigolds or bluebells, but they flower all the same.
Unfortunately spending time with the pups does help, but it's not a guarantee. They could still very well die even if you never leave their side, so you did nothing wrong. Sadly in this case you were super unlucky.
I made it to the end wit all pups we picked a den with more food and we hunted before everything so we could stay with our pups more but two almost died

Poor Marigold, she was so sweet and she held on for as long as she could, I know that pain, 2 years back my dog, Bailey, past away, but he held on for as long as he could while we were driving to the vet, Marigold didn’t deserve to die in such a cruel, slow, and painful way, R.I.P Marigold, The sweetest of them all.
I noticed through my packs when the pups get sick and you spend time with them it slows the sickness down just enough that they might beat it and get better. Sometimes the sickness is harsher for some it seems to be random. Hopefully this helps for the future!

To lighten the mood here's a story: I started a new pack recently and had 6 pups i named one of them Brutus because he was BIG found out it was a she at 9 pounds.... oops
If Parsley takes control of the pack, we can say she wanted to honor her sister’s life in anyway she can. I think because she’s been the strongest since she can remember she’d feel some sort of sense of responsibility over her siblings and she’d get stronger for Marigold even though Marigold walks a different path.

Yes. Parsley most likely has one gray coat gene and one black coat gene, which is the healthiest combination. Two black coat genes are more unhealthy along with two gray coat genes, which is what Marigold had.
Ok ok I’m being brutally honest, I started sobbing when Meadow slept by Marigold to spend the last few moments with her. I felt Meadows emotions during that, the moon packs Ancestors knew that Marigold would die to the sickness and I believe they took Marigold in there arms as soon as her spirit moved on to heaven. I’m sorry for the loss of Marigold. She didn’t deserve to die from a sickness but at least she died peacefully in her sleep. I always thought Arrow would be a good leader to continue the legacy but Parsley has been through a lot to see her sister die and to see her mom sad.

Spending time with the pups when they are sick is kind of like a coin toss, especially when the pup has a gray coat rather than a black coat, that's the reason why Parsley who had the immunity gene recovered but Marigold didn't.

Sadly seri, some pups are just too weak to recover. Even the notice about sick pups says that spending time MAY help, not that it will. Unfortunately Marigold just wasn't strong enough.

If you pick up sick pups, it counts as spending time with them. I carry sick pups with me when I pee on scent posts to speed things up while still enforcing my hexes
Seri, to increase your pups chance to survive an illness you have to mark all your territory hexes to 100%, then bring lots of food to your pups and only then spend time with your sick pup
All the pups were my favorite. Some pups recover from a sickness at 1 hp I had hoped Marigold would make it. Her Personality was amazing.. Now she died with a wolf she looked up to. Please bring Marigold to the spiritual world

I think it's actually pre determined whether a pup dies of sickness or not, cause the info says that spending time with them can improve odds, but not guarantee it, so there's probably a system that determines how long a pup is sick, and sometimes that time is longer than can be helped with spending time with them :(
as i said, marigolds chance of living was sadly almost impossible. seri is on challenging or accurate, meaning if a pup with a gray coat gets sick, theyre chance of survival is like 15% :( for black pups, its like 40%. marigold, daisy and bluebell will be happy and resting with their ancestors, R.I.P marigold, succumbed to disease. parsley is a survivor tho. just because of that, she deserves to be the heir. some cute scenes of marigold: marigold playing with meadow marigold resting next to meadow as they howl with eachother marigold and parsley playing together marigold sleeping next to her motheerrr marigold letting arrow/parsley [i forgot which] eat the food that was meant for her, as seen in the thumbnail we'll all miss marigold, she was a massive fan favourite.... and my favourite out of all the 7 pups

From my experience and from what the devs told us, the only thing that makes a difference (a bit!) when puppies are sick is feeding them and interacting with them. But there are no guarantees and there are no set limits in place how much you have to stay near them. It's simply random. All of the other "methods" people keep talking about are/were just lucky coincidences and rumors. :/
Poor Marigold...I really loved her, as well as Daisy and Bluebell. Meadow tried so hard to keep her alive but I guess it wasn't meant to be... Poor petal girls :(

It's so sad that marigold died, but at least she's with her siblings now. In the moments before she died she was so slow and quiet, but her last breaths were spent surrounded by her family. I like to think that all pups that die stick with their siblings for a while. Maybe that's why the stranger attack only lasted for a moment. But now the other pups have a better chance, because now that nobody's sick the territory can be stronger and the pups safer
Rest in peace marigold beautiful wolf pup who loved her pack mates so much and her parents ohhhhh meadow sleeping next to her when she pass away broke my heart . at least we still have parsley with us it would have been more heart breaking if both of them passed away . I think parsley or Achilles should be the next leader of the moon back cause they both were close with marigold and the both have good story's and personality for being good leaders for the pack .
Oh noooo. Marigold. I think when the pup is sick the pup has to have at least enough health to last a night’s sleeping in the tall grass and then they’ll start feeling better. I’m so sad. 😔 Marigold will be remembered. 🐺🌼🐾 Along with Daisy 🐺🌸🐾 and Bluebell 🐺🌾🐾 (I know that some of the colors aren’t correct, I tried to find the closest) But hope isn’t lost, Parsley has healed and you still have the other 3 pups, 4 pups in total. I believe that those 4 pups will live and grow into adults.
Concept idea: if parsley becomes alpha maybe she will carry the guilt of marigolds death, feeling like it was her fault for getting her sister sick. And that'll give her a new motivation to take care of her own pups and bring rise to the moon pack

Parsley slept by her sister, Marigold, who was very sick. She knew that most of her littermates had given up hope, but she had recovered from this terrible illness, and mom believed that she could get better, and mom was always right, right? Parsley sat beside Marigold her breathing getting slower and calmer. That had to be a good sign! Now she could barely hear it! Wait. NO! She couldn't hear it! Parsley ran up to her sleeping mother, and yelped. Meadow woke up, confused. Then she understood. She ran up to Marigold's body and gave a howl of despair. Parsley vowed that she would never let any of her pups die of sickness. Did you like it? I thought I was good at writing, but the opposite is a fact. RIP Marigold.

You honestly did everything you could...and all the advice you got sounded good to me....i definitely fed my sick pups only regurgitated food though...RIP Marigold! I wonder if Parsley would feel some form of survivor's guilt D:. I hope Parsley takes over...then she could have cubs: Sage, Rosemary, and Thyme XD

I want Achilles to take over the pack. As he is the runt, being so much smaller than the rest. So I would think that he would want to prove himself to his litter that he is capable of surviving on his own.

Sadly seri, some pups are just too weak to recover. Even the notice about sick pups says that spending time MAY help, not that it will. Unfortunately Marigold just wasn't strong enough.

Seri, to increase your pups chance to survive an illness you have to mark all your territory hexes to 100%, then bring lots of food to your pups and only then spend time with your sick pup

I think it's actually pre determined whether a pup dies of sickness or not, cause the info says that spending time with them can improve odds, but not guarantee it, so there's probably a system that determines how long a pup is sick, and sometimes that time is longer than can be helped with spending time with them :(
as i said, marigolds chance of living was sadly almost impossible. seri is on challenging or accurate, meaning if a pup with a gray coat gets sick, theyre chance of survival is like 15% :( for black pups, its like 40%. marigold, daisy and bluebell will
be happy and resting with their ancestors, R.I.P marigold, succumbed to disease.
parsley is a survivor tho. just because of that, she deserves to be the heir.

From my experience and from what the devs told us, the only thing that makes a difference (a bit!) when puppies are sick is feeding them and interacting with them. But there are no guarantees and there are no set limits in place how much you have to stay near them. It's simply random. All of the other "methods" people keep talking about are/were just lucky coincidences and rumors. :/
Poor Marigold...I really loved her, as well as Daisy and Bluebell. Meadow tried so hard to keep her alive but I guess it wasn't meant to be...

I really think that parsley should be the heir of the moon pack. I saw a comment that said that she would name some of her she pups after her sisters. I think that would be really interesting.

It's so sad that marigold died, but at least she's with her siblings now. In the moments before she died she was so slow and quiet, but her last breaths were spent surrounded by her family. I like to think that all pups that die stick with their siblings for a while. Maybe that's why the stranger attack only lasted for a moment. But now the other pups have a better chance, because now that nobody's sick the territory can be stronger and the pups safer

I think parsley or Achilles should be the next leader of the moon back cause they both were close with marigold and the both have good story's and personality for being good leaders for the pack .

Concept idea: if parsley becomes alpha maybe she will carry the guilt of marigolds death, feeling like it was her fault for getting her sister sick. And that'll give her a new motivation to take care of her own pups and bring rise to the moon pack

Parsley slept by her sister, Marigold, who was very sick. She knew that most of her littermates had given up hope, but she had recovered from this terrible illness, and mom believed that she could get better, and mom was always right, right? Parsley sat beside Marigold her breathing getting slower and calmer. That had to be a good sign! Now she could barely hear it! Wait. NO! She couldn't hear it! Parsley ran up to her sleeping mother, and yelped. Meadow woke up, confused. Then she understood. She ran up to Marigold's body and gave a howl of despair. Parsley vowed that she would never let any of her pups die of sickness.

You honestly did everything you could...and all the advice you got sounded good to me....i definitely fed my sick pups only regurgitated food though...RIP Marigold! I wonder if Parsley would feel some form of survivor's guilt D:. I hope Parsley takes over...then she could have cubs: Sage, Rosemary, and Thyme XD
