Chris one of the greats of metal in his golden era. You should take a look to his drumming clinic when he plays “blood of the scribe” , really unreal drumming. Long Life Chris Adler!!!
Actually that's not very good, it's very basic metal stuff without any groove.. no disrespect to any one. The work on the double pedal is good tho and very clean.. but nothing fancy, quite easy work
@@obvious_trading Dude lamb of god is renowned for being hard to play in almost every aspect of the band lol. They probably have like 4 or 5 songs that are "easy-ish" to play.

This maybe their slowest track but its still a banger. It has to be Ruin tho, the end fill is such a different fill and leads into a sweet tempo change
Forget open handed playing he's known for using splashes like crashes. You can listen a band and if you hear a track with a splash as a crash you can just immediately know that Chris Adler was their studio drummer.
“Now You’ve Got Something To Die” For has a nice taste of his use of cymbals (another drummer that comes to mind that utilizes their cymbals very nicely, IMO, is Travis Barker).
Seeing LoG live twice and god damn best performance I've seen drumming. As well as vocals. Just a great metal band in general. Kiladelphia is fucking amazing.
I been waiting for you to listen to Chris Adler. This is one of his most "laid back" songs. There are some LoG songs that the perfection of every beat is orchestral. Also he does a lot of complex patterns on the kicks, I hope you can hear them well, you don't want to miss those rudiments he sometimes incorporates into his kick patterns. The Modern drummer festival and his clinic videos are so insightful and mesmerizing. And you are right that he looks comfortable, sometimes bored. Its like he is watching TV while working out, he is in the zone. Looking forward to more Chris Adler, you will not be disappointed.
The lack of kick drum In the mix sells Chris' playing short. Same as you've done with Joey vids. It's well worth checking out the current lamb to god drummer Art Cruz to.
I've been to one of Chris' drum clinics, it was amazing. I love that he started off saying the he doesn't really know how to play the drums, then proceeds to blow you mind.
Chris Adler was the guy who made me want to start playing drums... This guy is one of my top 5 drummers and Art Cruz is doing a good job playing in lamb of god since he left too. My favourite song to listen to drumming wise is "now you've got something to die for".
Walk With Me In Hell is a perfect metal song. I've been using it to test every single headphones I've bought in the last 15 years. Check out "Descending", same band, same album. It's one of the few songs I know that's played "on three". It's a masterclass in drumming as a major part of songwriting, especially in metal. Greetings from Poland 🇵🇱
Wish you did a video that had better audio isolation as his feet are buried. This is also a relatively simple example of his playing. There are much better songs to review. The fill in RUIN is epic. THATS the song you need to get your ears on.
YES! That fill is so juicy. My buddy played this festival when he was 16 i believe, and everytime id go to his place, id be like RUIN!! do the fill from ruin!! Haha so sick
Dude! Love the Sean Reinert comparison, you’re bang on the money. both like you said deceptively complicated parts… but they both make it look so easy. I didn’t come to grasp how complicated until I tried to cover both and fell flat on my snare. Loving the vids man, keep it up 🤘🏻

I’m a guitar player but Chris Adler is my favorite heavy metal drummer as of late. Check out More Time To Kill it’s one of my favorite Lamb Of God songs
I'm a drummer myself and Chris Adler is one of my drumming icons along with Danny Carey. Adler is just pure precision and speed. Arch Enemy has always had a good drummer. His name just escapes me right now. Also, Arch Enemy has awesome guitars. Vlad from the band Jinjer is quickly growing on me as well.
Honestly one of the best quality recordings of him playing is the modern drummer festival (link below) where he played two of the tracks he is more known for. ruclips.net/video/nWqdCv6D_hM/видео.html
Really? First time?! He's been one of my favorite drummers for soooo long... and he's doing both lamb of god and also drumming for his idol and favorite band megadeth! You should do a comparison of his and original megadeth drums
Won’t get many requests but I think their instrumental “Ashes of the wake” is a really good example of his versatility. One of very few drummers I can recognize almost instantly. LOGs new drummer is a beast as well but the overall vibe just isn’t the same without Adler.
@@AndrewRooneyDrums There’s a pretty good video of just him and his brother (also member of LOG) playing “Hourglass”. You can hear the drum audio much better than other live show videos.
