He literally sees things, lets Suga know while in the corner between rounds, and then Suga executes it. It’s actually brilliant. Suga hit Chito with the same “faint the right hand and give him the knee” combo. They are perfect for each other.

Looking at the clock is *smart* and sure it CAN be a sign of someone fatigued that is desperately waiting for the end but it can also mean they are in such control that they have the ability and foresight to pay attention to the time while fighting so they can be strategic in their approach

Even sean said, he always knew hr could do 5rds in a kickboxing match(which was what the chito fight was). Doing 5rds when wrestling is mixed in is a whole different ballgame.

The saddest part of ufc 299 was when they showed RC on the big screen and no one clapped and no one knew who he was 😂

On the feet, O'Malley is a major problem in the bantamweight division. The length and striking is next level.
What's crazy is Sean only had a inch & a half reach advantage over chito. Plus Sean fought with a lot shifting forward and up close in chitos face.

DC said Sean was the first with custom shorts. Bryce Mitchell had camo shorts made though. Also, even if DC meant champion shorts, Izzy recently had red and gold shorts against sean, rather than black and gold. Prior to that, didn't Izzy also have green champ shorts?

But I knew when this card was announced they would do this. But if you look even at his numbers in interviews on RUclips and what have you he is not as big of a star as they like to tell you. Definitely not the biggest in the UFC

The reason O'Malley wasnt tired after the fight is because for the entirety of it he was winning, comfortable, relaxed and doing whatever he wanted not to mention not a single bit of grappling. In the Yan fight he had to wrestle and get up from the bottom multiple times as well as going backwards and getting pressured at times. More excited for O'Malley vs Cory Sandhagen who unlike most of the division can match him in range, footwork and outside striking.

We really going to sit here and claim " Sean sold out the house " get real dude. Take Sean vs chito off the card, it still sells out. That card was STACKED. Me personally, I didn't care to see the main event. There was plenty of more interesting fights then that main event
To chaels questions of what sean did differently, he simply prepared religiously for a 25 minute war. 25 minute sparring and sessions with a 190+ heart rate
Benoit's chin got checked. Regardless of whether he had staff infection or not, he wasn't surviving that right hook. Nobody survives that right hook if it connects as cleanly as it did on Benoit. Especially with as much momentum as Dustin put on it. That's a kill shot. Benoit is back, but he learned a valuable lesson that when you reach into the top 5. It's clearly a different level of fighter. Benoit will be there someday, anout that there is no doubt. But it's not his time. Work your way up the ranks one fight at a time. Because anybody in the top 5 would have pretty much done the same thing to him.
DC your kicks alone have more legacy than Sean O'Malley will ever have.

Conor Mcgregor moved up instantly when he won the belt against Aldo. Alvarez who did not defend fought Mcgregor right after getting the belt from RDA.
Max Holloway was on a 8 fight win streak in the Featherweight Division and on the same card as Mcgregor Aldo. At that point Holloway's last loss was to Mcgregor!
So stop saying it doesn't make sense to fight Ilia. There was a precedent set..
It makes zero logical sense to have him fight Topuria. There are number 1 contenders waiting for the Champs..neither Champ has cleared the division either..
