One other way to age a book is steep some black tea really densely and use a cottong ball on the edges. Not only does it give it a brownish aged color, but the water makes the edges waffle some giving it an aged look at well.

just use a bead of hot glue instead of the string for the edges of the book binding.
might need to build it up with 2 layers, but it will work just fine.

I thought that too when I watched the playback. 😂 I checked and when you put it the other way there’s a metal piece that held the tag on the back that would now be on the front. 🥴 I think maybe the factory put its tag on the wrong side.
