Kitchen is ancient. Rest of the house needs quite a bit of work. $899 isn't that unreasonable considering the area. Emerson schools are very safe. Class sizes are smaller than most schools, as is tbe overall student body. Basically, no child "falls through the cracks." The Soldier Hill area is quiet. Car ownership is a must, but there's an Express bus Park and Ride less than 10 minutes away. Malls are close, as is downtown Westwood... Can't expect Kentucky pricing in northern Bergen County, plus property taxes are no joke there. Overall not a terrible deal, and there's no harm trying to negotiate a bit

The foyer is as large as some NYC studio apartments. It could use some updates but looks like nice base to work from
