Me too started playing few days ago but am really strugling hard ... Am stuck with 3 Golden ingots and need in total 16. It took me 80 in game days to get those 3 GIs. No plan on how to build the nether portal with only water and one lava bucket :D

Good tips but you could've said something about spawning passive mobs at the bottom of the world,
Using an enderman to get a grass block without silk touch,
Making a villager breeder, a copper rod, transforming the villagers into witches who can drop redstone..
There may be more tips but I couldn't think of more

I've never even heard of half of these! Passive mobs spawn at the bottom of the world? And the witch thing is SUPER smart!

@@Magicov they spawn on grass blocks, at any height but the lower you get, the higher the spawn rate. So I grab a water bucket, dirt and a grass block from the enderman method, build a staircase to the bottom, make a grass platform, climb back up, and usually after some minutes passive mobs are spawned. I'm currently having chickens, sheep and cows in my hardcore vanilla Skyblock world.. I would've loved some rabbits too, but I don't think they can spawn in the default biome...

redstone is renewable with villager trades so you probably dont need it, but it is good for glowstone

@@aoyuki1409 you can't get a brewing stand on classic Skyblock, so neither you can get a villager that trades redstone.

i know this is 2 years old, but is there any skyblock map that is infinite void? the one im using and the one in this video has normal world gen after 700 or so blocks, i do know you can make skyblock with a void world and just adding the islands but that doesnt have biomes
(edit: im talking about this exact version of skyblock, but just infinite void

You could try making it yourself, it's not too hard if you're okay with not having an empty nether. On Java, you can use custom superflats to make a void world; on bedrock, you can use external tools to make a superflat in the same way, or you can download a void map.

@@taskfailedsuccesfully738 i ended up downloading a mod which deletes new chunks automatically, but i ended up quitting my skyblock world because passive mobs wouldnt spawn and i was spending hours on fixing it

There's a skyblock called skyblock infinite, but it's not quite the same as this one, and It doesn't work with the new update yet until they update it. There's also an app called mce selector that lets you delete unwanted chunks so you can edit the map and make those areas void yourself, but I don't think there's an og skyblocks like this with infinite void otherwise
