For the violet ring of love, I would choose the pink puffball from popstar; Kirby. Kirby has been shown time and time again to be an incredibly kind, loving, and caring....uh..whatever species he is. Speaking of what Kirby is, it has been heavily implied that Kirby is a reincarnation of Void. The same being that brought about Dark Matter might have become Kirby. If this theory holds true, then Kirby is a literal embodiment and incarnation of joy, kindness, happiness, and love. He even wields pink hearts in Star Allies to befriend and gain the assistance of those influenced by darkness.
I think Sancho form limbus company would make for a great Blue lantern. Because her hope is so strong that despite being a bloodfiend basically limbus company's version of a vampire which means she has an instinctual drive and addiction to consume blood she doesn't because she has a dream that humans and bloodfiends can coexist. And if you're a hope is strong enough to overcome literal biological programming I think that's deserving of a Blue lantern ring.

I thought Frisk from Undertale perfectly embodies the green lanterns. Their whole thing is unparalleled determination and willpower which is so potent that they even come back to life because of their determination to keep going.
I would say Frisk fits much better as a White Lantern, considering they have the ability, with their overwhelming Determination, to erase death from the timeline they current exist in.
Dr. Robotnik would definitely be an orange lantern. He wants to conquer the entire multiverse and demands the roboticization of all life. He's also not the biggest fan of sharing power or fame.

Zelda would be another phenomenal candidate for the blue lantern corps. Her willingness to deal with the hardships Hyrule faces for the sake of a better future, her being an inspiration for her people, and the fact that she usually gives Link the chances he needs to vanquish whatever Hyrule faces.
Considering that many Zelda games end with Link and Zelda teaming up to defeat the big bad, them powering each other up with blue and green rings would complement that perfectly.

I honestly didn't expect to see Sonic the freaking Hedgehog himself in the white lantern. But it makes sense, since he is basically freedom itself. He can't really stay in one place for too long since he always seeks adventure. and I think in the games, he doesn't really have his own home. Sure, he can sleep at Tails' home at times. But the fact he doesn't have his own home is just why I think he is the best representation of freedom. And like Sonic himself said, "I have no master, except the wind that blows free," and the fact that he saves planets and universes from having their freedom taken away just solidified his position as my favorite representation of freedom.
His theme It Doesn't Matter perfectly summarizes why he would be perfect. Between that, His World, and Endless Possibilities Sonic really is the definition of a pure free spirit. Kinda ironic that in the comics Eggman almost came to the same conclusion but he equated his inability to beat Sonic to our blue hero being an embodiment of chaos.
Link is an absolute shoe-in for the Green Lanterns; I’m glad he made the cut. I can’t say I expected Sonic to be a White Lantern, but your explanation made it make sense.

What I like about Bowser being in the Violet Corp is that he embodies two different forms of love. His possessive love with Peach, and his father/son love with Junior. Speaking of Peach though, I think she'd make a great White Lantern because she has a whole game based around using her emotions. Granted, it's not a One to One comparison, but had perfect control over her emotions when anyone else affected by the Vibe Scepter started to go crazy in one emotion. Heck, Bowser had to use the Vibe Scepter in order to do the same thing as base Peach. So I'd say it's a safe bet that Peach could be a White Lantern.

Junko is the embodiment of despair and fear. Even in her death, you can see it. She faces death with a smile and drops it only for a moment when the anticipation gets the better of her and her eyes open and drift upwards before she's crushed.
While I still stand by my opinion that Bowser would work as a White Lantern user, I will concede that if he had to represent just one colored Corp, it would definitely be Violet.

Orange: He can have subordinates, but Bowser needs to be top dog in terms of power for him to be okay with team-ups, seen with his interactions with Antasma and Paper Bowser. Bonus points for having his own personal treasure hoard of stolen goods. Yellow: For most people Bowser is absolutely terrifying, and he knows it, with him being fine with utilizing that to get others to shut up when he wants them to, plus he basically never gets scared himself. Green: Bowser has gotten trounced by Mario many, MANY times, sometimes quite embarrassingly so, but he refuses to ever throw in the towel, plus he is completely fine with going toe to toe with other big bad evils with no hesitation. Blue: Despite his numerous loses, Bowser still genuinely believes in his and his army's potential to eventually reign victorious. On top of that, he inspires a ton of hope in his army, being almost like a evil All Might for them. Indigo: Despite his brutish nature, Bowser genuinely cares about his army's well being, and while he will shove them around if they get on his nerves he will take things very seriously if they are in genuine danger, such as the times he got legit stressed when his troops got brainwashed. Violet: The Peach thing already got covered, but he also has a much more healthy love for his son, spoiling him rotten while still properly setting him up to be a king himself, and NOTHING makes King Koopa more livid than his kid getting hurt.

I personally nominate Makoto Yuki from Persona 3 as a candidate for a White Lantern Ring, as him finding The Answer to Life allowed him to gain the Universe Arcana which allowed him to seal away Death 2. You talked about which corps the anime/game characters would go into, but what about HOW they would use the ring? You know how Hal makes simple constructs, John Stewart is an architect and former solider so his constructs are drawn like a blueprint and makes guns, and Kyle Rayner is an artist so he "sketches" his constructs into being and makes a lot of anime stuff. It might be a more creative way to imagine the characters with a ring

I wanted to say the same thing. But also! I think all of the Wildcards are also worthy of the White ring at the end of their arcs. Kotone has the same arc Makoto does, so she’s kind of a shoe-in. Aigis starts The Answer having abandoned all her emotions to avoid her pain, but ends up discovering the literal meaning of life and choosing to live it despite what she’s lost. Yu masters himself and his emotions in his uncompromising pursuit of the truth (he might make a better Green Lantern, but I’d argue he has enough mastery of the entire spectrum to qualify for White). And Ren is basically freedom incarnate, choosing to use his incredible powers for justice rather than revenge, and literally killing the god of subjugation.

I don't know much about Lanterns, but I couldn't get this one idea out of my head. From what I understood from this video, the white lantern is gifted from understanding and overcoming the entire emotional spectrum. Much like Sonic, I would like to wager the argument that Shadow could work as a White Lantern. Starting as a revenge driven antagonist who wanted to destroy the entire human race for what they did to Maria, only stopping himself when he remembers Marias wish to give everyone a chance to be happy, to protect the life she held so dear. I keep thinking about that scene in Shadow Generations when Shadow said he was leaving behind that dark past, giving Maria a genuine smile before leaving to go fight Black Doom. The words he said at the end of one of the Black Doom fights, "Maria loved this planet, I will not let you destroy it." Shadow is a fighter who strives to protect life. Also, I just think it would be really really funny for the black hedgehog to get the color that is his exact opposite.

When Afton's Sprite showed up for Black Lantern my mind went... YUP! Honestly I feel he's a perfect emissary for Necron just like Black Hand was. I could also see Doctor Harley Sawyer as a twisted Black Lantern but for a funny inverse. Afton might have wanted immortality but he didn't care who he ended to get there. Sawyer on the other hand sees Death as a weakness and actively seeks to end its purpose. I'd love to see a Black Lantern that actually goes against the very thing it's power represents.
I'm pretty nerdy about a few particular series but the one my username derives from is in the top 3. From FE, I could see Thales from Three Houses as a great Red Lantern, surviving for at least a Thousand years just on his hatred of all other life on the surface. I could also see Ike from POR and RD as a great Blue Lantern. He has to basically save the continent twice and has the entire world basically looking to him as their symbol of hope. Also since Blue can calm Red tendencies, Ike also relinquishes his want for Revenge against the Black Knight who killed his dad. I could also see Shez from Three Hopes and Robin from Awakening as Green Lanterns. Robin has to go through 3 Wars leading supposedly tens or hundreds of thousands of people, and despite being controlled and almost erased by Grima, forces through, and ends an artificial God at the cost of his own life even though he seems to return afterwards. Shez on the other hand is akin to Robin. While seemingly drawn by revenge against Byleth in the beginning and whenever they show up, when not around, Shez (and Arval) work as a commander for people when out of their element and fight many different threats in quick succession. If you do the good route and recruit Byleth, it's revealed that Shez's rage is not even their own, instead belonging to a being that is infused into their own being who as a last ditch effort, takes control of both Shez and Arval and attempts to kill Byleth. Even then, Shez is able to push through with sheer willpower and takes their body back momentarily and later on kills the being that was controlling them. I have more but I doubt people will even read this so I'll leave it here for my own sake.

I kinda wanna contest Asura for the Red lanterns. He does all of his actions and killing...out of love. His love and want to protect his daughter. Ill say Asura is as much a shoe in for Love as he is for Rage.
A fair note, but Asura is literally powered by wrath, so he is still exceptionally full of rage and anger. His love and compassion help to show that he's not just a one-note Berserker, if anything.
My pick for an unconventional green lantern: Dr Neo Cortex Despite originating from a comedic series, Cortex is often written as one of the biggest strugglers in gaming -His family made fun of him and are responsible for the iconic giant N on his forehead (N for nerd) -All of his allies always end up backstabbing him -Forces beyond human comprehension are after his head, like N Tropy and The Evil Twins -And has acknowledge several times his losing streaks against Crash Bandicoot And yet, time and time again, he has risen and return to play his part as the evil scientist with world domination plans we all know and love (to make fun of)
One thing you didn't mention for Bowser is that not only does he have love for Peach, but he also has love for his kids and his army. He takes pride in them and loves his kids to pieces. He's never outwardly hateful towards them. Sure, he may get angry sometimes. But that doesn't diminish his love for his weird family that he has.
Tbh Kratos would be perfectly going from rage to hope over the course of his games. Or at the end of the Valhalla DLC I could even see an arguement for the white ring, considering his new found wisdom and balance.

Yep, though you could argue red as well, though to a weaker extent than yellow. I think it's stated Ganons pulling his antics out of a hatred for Hyrule on several occasions. Hate leads to rage. Still, yellow is the stronger candidate with the dread Ganondorf inspires. A lot.

Ridley could honestly be a perfect pick for either the Yellow Lantern or the Black Lantern. He is known as a space pirate, a terrorist, a genocidal being with no remorse. He is feared among the Chozo and, in the Manga, feared by Samus herself, perfect for the Yellow Lanterns. He also has died NUMEROUS times, rising from the dead each time, making him also perfect for the Black Lanterns. Edit: I guess he could as work as an indigo lantern, where all his genocidal feelings can go away, but i figured Yellow and Black were better and also cooler.
Although Sonic is perfect for the white lanterns, Sonic would also be an amazing green lantern, he has shown with things like the metal virus and the cyber corruption that he has a will power that is one of the strongest in gaming, it is so strong that Sage questions how he can laugh while he can barely stand up

Ethan Winters 100% deserved at least an honorable mention in the Love category. Dude went through absolute hell in RE7 just to save Mia, even after she stabbed, chainsawed, and tried to kill him multiple times. Then in RE8, he took it even further, enduring all kinds of insane body horror just to save his daughter, Rose, without a second thought. The man literally sacrificed himself so she could live. If that’s not peak Star Sapphire energy, I don’t know what is.
It goes even further too. Spoilers In the DLC, you play as Rose years later. She gets trapped in a sort of way, and a disembodied force guides her to safety multiple times. It’s revealed through the games progression that it’s a memory of Ethan Winters. His love transcends his own death.

In the comics, he kills a hallucinated smokey the bear after Smokey tells him fire is no one's friend, and when he becomes a CEO of an engineering company, his world becomes grey and he sees his board members as paperwork speaking gibberish.
People always say Tom Nook is evil and rips you off when the man gives you a 0% interest loan for your entire house no questions asked and literally gives you infinite time to pay it back. If I am offered that loan irl I’m taking it 10/10 times
I love the list, but I do think Makoto Yuki (P3 Protagonist) would fit genuinely perfectly in the white lantern corps (spoilers for p3: he faced and overcame the literal embodiment of death itself and took it in himself to seal it away, dying in the process). Joker from P5 would also work perfectly for the Green lantern Corps, as his willpower was so unshakable that he brought himself back from existence erasure and nullified the powers of a near omnipotent being.
Dude, Tom Nook's not a villain. He's not even that greedy. He literally gives you a loan without any collateral and gives you no due date to pay it off. If anything, the ring of avarice should go to his business rival, Redd: an ACTUAL CON ARTIST.
If this was broader, I'd say for a white lantern, the big red gentle warhero giant himself, Optimus Prime. He is the embodiment of freedom, his most famous line is: "Freedom is the right of all sentient beingings." That is true throughout every version. He always fights for freedom, no matter the cost. As he says in Sybound, if only his wisdom was as great as the distance he's traveled. He's downplaying himself, not because he thinks he's horrible but he thinks there's always a better way than fighting, but it's the option he was forced into. He has beaten multiversal threats before, has some powers of a god in his chest (the matrix of leadership), and a heart made of something much more valuable than gold, compassion. He's dove into flames for his enemies before, even though he knew he could've ended the war with one act. If there is anyone who deserves a white ring, it is Optimus.
Bowser's love extends even further than just an obsession with Peaches. A true family man with seven adopted kids and his own flesh and blood, fighting to give them a life worth living, including a mother he believes they deserve. Not to mention the total loyalty of his minions that he earned through promises and example, bro's got love oozing out of his shell!
While Bowser’s unyielding love for Peach would be a valid reason for a Violet ring, I’d say that he possesses 2 other forms of love that would make him an even more ideal candidate. First is paternal love for his son, Bowser Jr, which is shown pretty prominently. But second is the love and trust for his minions, which he views as an extended family. If he’s willing to tank a planet-destroying laser to protect his army, that shows love right there.
Tom Nook really isn't greedy, it's just we assume someone in his position would be. Think about it, every time you've incurred a debt to him, yes it is a sizeable amount of money, but no interest accrues, and there is no time limit one when you pay him pack. Hell, you can go days to even years without a bell towards him, he just waits until your ready to pay it off.
To be fair to Joel, it was only a chance to find a vaccine with a certainty of Ellie’s death… one she wasn’t informed of. And frankly a ragtag group in the middle of nowhere with only a basic surgical lab does not inspire confidence.

To be fair to Silver as a Green Lantern, in the current Sonic canon (which includes games, IDW comics, and other extra media such as promotional web animations), Silver is chosen by the will of the Sonic universe to be the protector of its future. Someway, somehow, the universe always finds a way for him to travel back into the past, leaving Silver alone to question what his purpose in all of it is. Through his own willpower and determination, he uncovers the source of impending doom for the future and puts a stop to it before it can spell disaster. Silver doesn't know any of the details about the situation he's being thrown into. It's his determination to figure out what's going on in the past and to save the future by any means necessary that makes him fit as a Green Lantern. You can make decent arguments for both Green and Blue in his case, and even potentially earning White considering his dedication to protect the future (and therein all life that exists within it)
My pick for green lantern corp has to be Frisk from undertale since half of the whole gig is literally how they are able to save monsterkind (or doom it) thanks to the power of determination (even tho you did technically did mention the game) Personally I wouldn’t put in games with characters from books, creepypasta or comics like Geralt because they aren’t game characters, it’s like saying batman is a game character
There is in-game Animal Crossing lore that Tom Nook is not at all greedy. Man donates 90% of his earned Bells to charity, gives thoughtful gifts to his friends, and brought one of the series’ actual sleazy businessman, Lyle, into his real estate business to turn him into a more upstanding person. If anyone in the series is the symbol of greed, it’s Redd.
Last time you mentioned Ideal Ring-bearer combos (All-Might as a Blue, Deku as a Green), and I think I might have one for this topic: Cloud Strife-Blue Lantern and Tifa Lockhart-Green Lantern Cloud going through the absolute wringer and managing to regain his true self, But he couldn’t have done that without support. If reassembling a shattered mind to get someone back isn’t sheer willpower… 🤷♂️ Or it could be the reverse, and it would still work. i already left a different comment but i love this concept so much imma make another one Here's my ideas for the Sonic cast as lanterns: Red: Surge - So angry at the world and Sonic that she used the Dynamo Cage to power herself up, which also took a big toll on her body, just like the red ring does. While mellowing out a bit after the most recent arc, Surge during her first appearence would be a great fit for the red ring Orange: Eggman - As someone else in the comments said, he wants to control EVERYTHING and turn everything into robots and build Eggmanland, a monument to his narcisism and greed Yellow: Mimic - A shapeshifter that can be anywhere at anytime. After betraying his mercenary group, the Diamond Cutters, and killing all but one of them, he dedicated his life to finding and taking out the last sole survivor: Whisper. His lingering presence took over Whisper, causing her to fear both him and being connected to others, not wanting to lose anyone else Green: Knuckles - really any of the main protagonists could fit here, but the best fit that isnt already taken by another color would be Knuckles. The guardian of the Master Emerald, he spends his life watching over it, staying at the shrine it rests in, never faltering in his vigilance. He doesnt particularly enjoy this job, but he never leaves it unaccounted for, and stays true to his mission regardless Blue: Silver - you already explained it well Indigo: Gerald - He was so stricken by grief he went insane, vowing to destroy the planet in revenge, becoming a psychotic killer. This combined with how he was previously a loving individual to Maria makes him a great vessel for the Indigo Ring Violet: Amy - Amy says in Frontiers that she wishes to spread her love throughout the world, and in Sonic 06, her love for Sonic is so strong that she says she'd choose Sonic over the world. And while this isnt true nowadays, during the dreamcast era her love was pretty toxic, trying to force sonic into a relationship. Good thing she doesnt do that anymore... Black: Black Doom - Already having died and risen from the dead, Black Doom wished to eradicate all of humanity, believeing it to be a better alternative to them hurting each other, or at least thats the reasoning he claimed. He is also a warmongering alien, taking life from across space White: Sonic and Shadow - Sonic was already shown in the video, but Shadow works just as well. Where Sonic embodies freedom, Shadow has conquered the majority of the spectrum, notably being Rage, Willpower, Hope, Compassion, and Love, and also embodies Life being a protector to all life on earth.

I guess it's a joke, but I think Kirby is the best representation of a Violet Lantern as he is the literal embodiment of love, though it also works for White as he is also the embodiment of life and positive emotions The rest of the cast would possibly fall on Green's side for their willpower and heroism (Dedede, MK, Bandee, etc), Indigo for having redeemed (Marx, Magolor, Taranza (although he could perfectly fit into a Violet Lantern), etc), or in the case of Dark Matter (evil, not Gooey) and Soul versions (and Morpho who is literally death itself), Black Lanterns

Tom Nook is not the crook everyone portrays him as. In the first game, he gives a home loan to a random foreigner with no credit score, inefficient down payment, and even offers him a temporary part-time job to help get started on it. And in every game, including the first one, the contract has zero interest and no set deadline for reimbursement. Tom Nook only acts like a sleaze bag on the surface as a defense mechanism born from being betrayed by Red, the actually sleazy scam artist who will attempt to dupe anyone he can to earn a quick buck. In reality, Tom Nook is a kind man in a business that makes it so easy to hurt people, sneaking what help he can to others without giving away his actual feelings, lest they be taken advantage of again.
Tom nook is greedy? Does he charge you interest? does he close your house if you don't pay him in time? wait, does he even give you a timeframe to pay him back... at all? Or does he give you practically a gift and tells you to pay it back whenever? IMO, he's one of the least greedy characters. he looses money so you would get a house.
Knack for being the embodiment of freedom aside, I think Sonic’s place as a white lantern makes so much sense because he’s literally a master of life. His creator describes Sonic as a “fairy,” he just appears when things are going wrong and fixes it because he’s that awesome. He knows how to deal with his emotions, he knows how to handle things, he knows how to set everyone free, what sets everyone apart from Sonic is that he just inexplicably…gets it. Somehow, some way, Sonic just knows the right answer 99.9% of the time; and when he doesn’t, he figures it out quick enough to fix the issue, so much so that as another RUclipsr masterfully put it: “the plot doesn’t just happen to Sonic, HE happens to IT.”
While I dig most of these, did we even play the same Animal Crossing?! Tom Nook is a financial saint! He constantly seeks to enrich the community, he gives you a job to get you on your feet, he gives you a house when you have nowhere else to stay with ZERO questions asked, and he's even a loving single dad to his two adopted sons (I think they're adopted anyway)! Easily the kindest, most forgiving and supportive landlord to ever exist. When the deadline for a home loan is "Whenever you feel like paying", greedy no longer becomes an applicable term. If anything, I feel like an orange ring would just shrivel up and crumble if he put it on!

Ganondorf would be a great candidate for several lantern corps. Yellow is an obvious choice there is no figure in Hyrule more feared than him. The red ring of rage is a definite match as well as his anger and Malice literally births monsters and vengeance against the heroes and zeldas has fueled him for eons. The orange light of avarice with his greed and thirst for the triforce is so all encompassing it has lasted again eons. I don’t think I need to explain compassion. This one might take some mental gymnastics but hear me out, the green light of will. To try again and again despite countless failures over thousands of years is an incredible display of willpower and Ganondorf isn’t afraid of anything even when death stares him in the face he still fears nothing. The final corps he would be a master of is the black ring of death. Ganondorf has been killed and revived several times and has undead members of his army. The most famous being stalfos but undead versions of other enemies are in there too.
You went with Tom Nook instead of Redd for the orange ring? Redd is literally a con artist, in universe he’s the guy who actually steals your cash under false pretences.

I know it's funny to call Tom Nook Greedy, but he does do actual ZERO INTEREST RATE LOANS WITH NO TIME LIMITS. he's way less greedy the other two. Samus, i'd put her in the Red lantern.
Tom Nook is not a greedy business man. He never charges interest, he never gives you a due date to pay your loan, he gives your home with no down payment, he doesn’t even remind you about your loan if you haven’t made a payment, and in one game it’s said that he gives most of his money to charity. Yes it is shady that he gives you a job to help pay of your loans and that the final price of your home is so high but he is nowhere near as shady as his old pal Redd who actively try’s to scam you out of your bells by selling fake art to those who don’t have a keen eye for detail, if Redd was in Tom’s position he would be the villain that everyone thinks Tom Nook is.

Tom Nook would not be an Orange Lantern. I know the joke is that he's greedy, but when you think about it, he's really not. He sells you the house for pretty cheap (bells are yen, so 100 bells is about $1), he charges no interest, and he adopted 2 children that he takes care of. Tom Nook is a good person, and I will not stand for this slander. Redd would have actually been the better pick for Animal Crossing. He's basically evil Tom Nook.
Ok the only one a highly disagree with is in thus list is slanderman, but not because he shouldn't be a yellow lantern but because he isn't a video game character. He originated from a photoshop contest from some website. Which is kind if funny when i think about it.

Flowey ends up backpettling on that plan (pun intended) and feels genuine fear, not to mention at the end of the pacifist route (and I mean the very end) he's reminded of how it feels to feel and even goes out of his way to ask you, the player, to leave the game alone, showing empathy on his part wanting even Frisk to enjoy their happy ending. Although technically undead he can still feel (not to mention how easy it is to anger him) he's just gone empty due to the overwhelming despair of his situation and eventually, boerdom. The one who's whole plot device is based around willpower, or shall I refer to it's other name, *Determination* Frisk Undertale. If they're so deterimined they can turn back time you know they can out-willpower any Green Lantern, they'd be able to throw neon green hands with a fusion of every Superman and win they've got so much willpower. (Not to mention considering how they tend to direct their will after 2 attempts at doing good, they'd be the most dangerous lantern of any type...)

That’s fine, I remember it was difficult last time and you only managed to pick shinji because he fit perfectly But of the ultraviolet light is hidden emotions, then I’d say the best candidate would probably be kris from Deltarune, as they’re constantly suppressed by our control over their soul, never being able to express themselves unless our choices align or contradict our own in various ways
Since Metroid is my favorite series I'm happy to see Samus at least get a mention. For the black lantern core I was expecting at least one of those characters that keeps coming back from the dead over and over again such as Ridley from Metroid, Sigma from Mega Man X (granted he's a robot so it makes sense for him) and Dracula from Castlevania. Dracula in particular would mesh pretty well with the black ring of death. As a self proclaimed Metroid lore expert I could give a case for most of the lantern cores, although it's kind of shaky with Greed and Love. Green is obvious, incredible willpower for going up against overwhelming odds solo all the time. Her Power Suit is pretty similar to a lantern ring in the sense that it is manifested and maintained by Samus' willpower and she can keep it on for long periods of time while fighting giant monsters, even to the point where the suit remains active when Samus is unconscious. Blue works well since for the rest of the galaxy Samus is seen as their greatest warrior and protector, serving as a symbol of hope. On the flip side, for Yellow Samus is seen as the boogeyman made physical for her enemies and criminals across the galaxy, especially the Space Pirates who are her mortal enemies. Not too dissimilar to how the Demons of Hell see Doomslayer. This also can apply for the Red ring since she is described as fighting against the Space Pirates with a righteous fury. It's to the point where she manually genocided their whole race, and that isn't the first time she's done something like that. The Space Pirates are over the top pure evil so don't feel too bad. There's also Metroid Dread where she has quite the temper. For Indigo Samus does have quite the compassionate side, it just isn't shown too much. Metroid Prime 2 is an example though where she agreed to help the local inhabitants of planet Aether out of the kindness of her heart. She isn't getting paid to do it, it's just the kind of person he is. There's also where she spared a baby Metroid that imprinted upon Samus as its mother despite Metroids attacking everything they see on sight, including Samus. This compassion she showed was repaid several times since the baby Metroid has saved Samus more than once in more than one form. I know that you described that Indigo rings bond with those without ANY compassion but I know there's been a few times at least where someone with lots of compassion has been an Indigo lantern. As a side note, Ridley would be PERFECT for the Indigo ring since he is super evil just for the sake of it. He kills, tortures, pillages, every evil thing you can think up because he likes it. If you survive somehow, like Samus, he will revel in rubbing in what he did just to make you suffer. Cherry on top, Ridley's already purple so it was made to be. Love and Greed are a bit iffy like I said earlier. Romance isn't really a thing in Metroid so nothing like that has been seen from Samus, although having high compassion is sort of love adjacent. She's at least felt plenty of other people's love for her such as her human family, her adoptive Chozo family, among others. For Greed, despite why Samus does what she does, fight the good fight, protect people from monsters like the Space Pirates and Metroids, Samus still asks for pay for what she does. Granted, there are times where the money does not factor in like with Metroid Prime 2 and Metroid Dread. However, if you want to bring some gameplay into it, Samus constantly going on 100% runs and trying to find every SINGLE upgrade and expansion can be seen as greed. Samus leaves every mission with about 250 Missiles and a whole bunch of other stuff.
Bowser is such a perfect candidate for a purple ring because his loyalty to Peach doesn’t just span that cosmos, but literally put the whole Mario universe at risk His love for peach is so one sided that when they were nearly married the literal manifestation of false love, the Chaos Heart, appeared before Bowser and Peach and nearly destroyed all reality AND AFTER THIS HE STILL TRIES TO MARRY HER
Now, flowey as a black lantern makes scence. Also, I could imagine Flowey holding the lantern ring on a root. Also, this would be cool, Sonic (white lantern) vs Flowey (black lantern). You should make an animation of that.
Moneybags from spyro is really greedy. In spyro 2, when his home is being conquered ripto he stops you from moving forward unless you pay him gems, his home is being taken by a crazy wizard that tried to feed one of the fairys to his pet but he doesn't help spyro until he gets paid. In spyro 3, he holds people, prisoner, unless spyro pays him and still demands payment to let spyro continue forward. He was even going to sell a baby dragon to someone.
I’ll say one good thing in defense of Tom Nook… Unlike his former partner Crazy Redd, at least the products he sells you have a 100% chance of being REAL (part of why I hate all of Redd’s clearance sale forgeries)

For the violet ring of love, I would choose the pink puffball from popstar; Kirby. Kirby has been shown time and time again to be an incredibly kind, loving, and caring....uh..whatever species he is. Speaking of what Kirby is, it has been heavily implied that Kirby is a reincarnation of Void. The same being that brought about Dark Matter might have become Kirby. If this theory holds true, then Kirby is a literal embodiment and incarnation of joy, kindness, happiness, and love. He even wields pink hearts in Star Allies to befriend and gain the assistance of those influenced by darkness.

I think Sancho form limbus company would make for a great Blue lantern. Because her hope is so strong that despite being a bloodfiend basically limbus company's version of a vampire which means she has an instinctual drive and addiction to consume blood she doesn't because she has a dream that humans and bloodfiends can coexist. And if you're a hope is strong enough to overcome literal biological programming I think that's deserving of a Blue lantern ring.

Zelda would be another phenomenal candidate for the blue lantern corps. Her willingness to deal with the hardships Hyrule faces for the sake of a better future, her being an inspiration for her people, and the fact that she usually gives Link the chances he needs to vanquish whatever Hyrule faces.
Considering that many Zelda games end with Link and Zelda teaming up to defeat the big bad, them powering each other up with blue and green rings would complement that perfectly.

I honestly didn't expect to see Sonic the freaking Hedgehog himself in the white lantern. But it makes sense, since he is basically freedom itself. He can't really stay in one place for too long since he always seeks adventure. and I think in the games, he doesn't really have his own home. Sure, he can sleep at Tails' home at times. But the fact he doesn't have his own home is just why I think he is the best representation of freedom. And like Sonic himself said, "I have no master, except the wind that blows free," and the fact that he saves planets and universes from having their freedom taken away just solidified his position as my favorite representation of freedom.
I also think this but also he could be an amazing blue lantern as he is basically a beacon of hope in his universe
His theme It Doesn't Matter perfectly summarizes why he would be perfect. Between that, His World, and Endless Possibilities Sonic really is the definition of a pure free spirit. Kinda ironic that in the comics Eggman almost came to the same conclusion but he equated his inability to beat Sonic to our blue hero being an embodiment of chaos.
Link is an absolute shoe-in for the Green Lanterns; I’m glad he made the cut. I can’t say I expected Sonic to be a White Lantern, but your explanation made it make sense.

Demise could corrupt Ganon’s yellow ring into a red lantern, once the living embodiment of rage being enough to force the Yellow Lantern ring to shatter and forming a Red Lantern ring in its place
What I like about Bowser being in the Violet Corp is that he embodies two different forms of love. His possessive love with Peach, and his father/son love with Junior.
Speaking of Peach though, I think she'd make a great White Lantern because she has a whole game based around using her emotions. Granted, it's not a One to One comparison, but had perfect control over her emotions when anyone else affected by the Vibe Scepter started to go crazy in one emotion. Heck, Bowser had to use the Vibe Scepter in order to do the same thing as base Peach. So I'd say it's a safe bet that Peach could be a White Lantern.
He also cares for all of his troops in canon. The recent game even makes that a plot point.

Junko is the embodiment of despair and fear. Even in her death, you can see it. She faces death with a smile and drops it only for a moment when the anticipation gets the better of her and her eyes open and drift upwards before she's crushed.

@@spadeofclubs Red: Bowser has an infamously short fuse, and the peaks of his rage are legendary.
Orange: He can have subordinates, but Bowser needs to be top dog in terms of power for him to be okay with team-ups, seen with his interactions with Antasma and Paper Bowser. Bonus points for having his own personal treasure hoard of stolen goods.
Yellow: For most people Bowser is absolutely terrifying, and he knows it, with him being fine with utilizing that to get others to shut up when he wants them to, plus he basically never gets scared himself.
Green: Bowser has gotten trounced by Mario many, MANY times, sometimes quite embarrassingly so, but he refuses to ever throw in the towel, plus he is completely fine with going toe to toe with other big bad evils with no hesitation.
Blue: Despite his numerous loses, Bowser still genuinely believes in his and his army's potential to eventually reign victorious. On top of that, he inspires a ton of hope in his army, being almost like a evil All Might for them.
Indigo: Despite his brutish nature, Bowser genuinely cares about his army's well being, and while he will shove them around if they get on his nerves he will take things very seriously if they are in genuine danger, such as the times he got legit stressed when his troops got brainwashed.
Violet: The Peach thing already got covered, but he also has a much more healthy love for his son, spoiling him rotten while still properly setting him up to be a king himself, and NOTHING makes King Koopa more livid than his kid getting hurt.

1- To be Orange Lantern you gotta be greedy as hell. Bowser nowhere greedy and the definiton you gave isnt even related with being greedy.
2- Bowser still "a bad guy tho" as Green Ring doesnt let you do anything "bad or evil" otherwise you will just lose it. Bowser would never be a Green lantern as the "Will" isnt enough.
3- Same with previous, even if you have "high hope", Bowser has done many evil things that a Blue ring would just reject Bowser.
4- That isnt how Star Sapphire corps even work. By your logic every mother would be a star sapphire too.

I literally screamed out loud when I saw Sonic at the end as a White Lantern. He’s perfect as a white lantern due to his zest for life and unshakeable freedom.

2. You talked about which corps the anime/game characters would go into, but what about HOW they would use the ring? You know how Hal makes simple constructs, John Stewart is an architect and former solider so his constructs are drawn like a blueprint and makes guns, and Kyle Rayner is an artist so he "sketches" his constructs into being and makes a lot of anime stuff. It might be a more creative way to imagine the characters with a ring

For most of his life Makoto didn't want any part of it, he even started his journey drifting along with changes rather than living. However now he knows what he's living for and he knows what he must do to protect it. Makoto may not have actually lived his life long, but the time he had feeling truly alive was enough to feel like everyone should be able to live how he did.
I wanted to say the same thing. But also! I think all of the Wildcards are also worthy of the White ring at the end of their arcs.
Kotone has the same arc Makoto does, so she’s kind of a shoe-in.
Aigis starts The Answer having abandoned all her emotions to avoid her pain, but ends up discovering the literal meaning of life and choosing to live it despite what she’s lost.
Yu masters himself and his emotions in his uncompromising pursuit of the truth (he might make a better Green Lantern, but I’d argue he has enough mastery of the entire spectrum to qualify for White).
And Ren is basically freedom incarnate, choosing to use his incredible powers for justice rather than revenge, and literally killing the god of subjugation.
Never would I think I see a video where there’s a full talk on Junko Enoshima, Flowey, Sonic, Bowser, Monika, and William Afton, and it all make sense

I don't know much about Lanterns, but I couldn't get this one idea out of my head.
From what I understood from this video, the white lantern is gifted from understanding and overcoming the entire emotional spectrum.
Much like Sonic, I would like to wager the argument that Shadow could work as a White Lantern.
Starting as a revenge driven antagonist who wanted to destroy the entire human race for what they did to Maria, only stopping himself when he remembers Marias wish to give everyone a chance to be happy, to protect the life she held so dear.
I keep thinking about that scene in Shadow Generations when Shadow said he was leaving behind that dark past, giving Maria a genuine smile before leaving to go fight Black Doom.
The words he said at the end of one of the Black Doom fights, "Maria loved this planet, I will not let you destroy it."
Shadow is a fighter who strives to protect life.
Also, I just think it would be really really funny for the black hedgehog to get the color that is his exact opposite.

When Afton's Sprite showed up for Black Lantern my mind went... YUP! Honestly I feel he's a perfect emissary for Necron just like Black Hand was. I could also see Doctor Harley Sawyer as a twisted Black Lantern but for a funny inverse. Afton might have wanted immortality but he didn't care who he ended to get there. Sawyer on the other hand sees Death as a weakness and actively seeks to end its purpose. I'd love to see a Black Lantern that actually goes against the very thing it's power represents.
I'm pretty nerdy about a few particular series but the one my username derives from is in the top 3. From FE, I could see Thales from Three Houses as a great Red Lantern, surviving for at least a Thousand years just on his hatred of all other life on the surface. I could also see Ike from POR and RD as a great Blue Lantern. He has to basically save the continent twice and has the entire world basically looking to him as their symbol of hope. Also since Blue can calm Red tendencies, Ike also relinquishes his want for Revenge against the Black Knight who killed his dad. I could also see Shez from Three Hopes and Robin from Awakening as Green Lanterns. Robin has to go through 3 Wars leading supposedly tens or hundreds of thousands of people, and despite being controlled and almost erased by Grima, forces through, and ends an artificial God at the cost of his own life even though he seems to return afterwards. Shez on the other hand is akin to Robin. While seemingly drawn by revenge against Byleth in the beginning and whenever they show up, when not around, Shez (and Arval) work as a commander for people when out of their element and fight many different threats in quick succession. If you do the good route and recruit Byleth, it's revealed that Shez's rage is not even their own, instead belonging to a being that is infused into their own being who as a last ditch effort, takes control of both Shez and Arval and attempts to kill Byleth. Even then, Shez is able to push through with sheer willpower and takes their body back momentarily and later on kills the being that was controlling them. I have more but I doubt people will even read this so I'll leave it here for my own sake.

I kinda wanna contest Asura for the Red lanterns. He does all of his actions and killing...out of love. His love and want to protect his daughter. Ill say Asura is as much a shoe in for Love as he is for Rage.
A fair note, but Asura is literally powered by wrath, so he is still exceptionally full of rage and anger.
His love and compassion help to show that he's not just a one-note Berserker, if anything.

Interesting idea for a green lantern
One thing you didn't mention for Bowser is that not only does he have love for Peach, but he also has love for his kids and his army. He takes pride in them and loves his kids to pieces. He's never outwardly hateful towards them. Sure, he may get angry sometimes. But that doesn't diminish his love for his weird family that he has.
Tbh Kratos would be perfectly going from rage to hope over the course of his games. Or at the end of the Valhalla DLC I could even see an arguement for the white ring, considering his new found wisdom and balance.
I'll say alternatively he can take on both a Red and Blue ring and call it a day.

Yep, though you could argue red as well, though to a weaker extent than yellow. I think it's stated Ganons pulling his antics out of a hatred for Hyrule on several occasions. Hate leads to rage. Still, yellow is the stronger candidate with the dread Ganondorf inspires. A lot.
Golden Cheese Cookie is a perfect candidate for the orange lantern ring. One of her line suggests that greed is a compliment in her kingdom

He is known as a space pirate, a terrorist, a genocidal being with no remorse. He is feared among the Chozo and, in the Manga, feared by Samus herself, perfect for the Yellow Lanterns.
He also has died NUMEROUS times, rising from the dead each time, making him also perfect for the Black Lanterns.

Ethan Winters 100% deserved at least an honorable mention in the Love category. Dude went through absolute hell in RE7 just to save Mia, even after she stabbed, chainsawed, and tried to kill him multiple times. Then in RE8, he took it even further, enduring all kinds of insane body horror just to save his daughter, Rose, without a second thought. The man literally sacrificed himself so she could live. If that’s not peak Star Sapphire energy, I don’t know what is.

In the DLC, you play as Rose years later. She gets trapped in a sort of way, and a disembodied force guides her to safety multiple times. It’s revealed through the games progression that it’s a memory of Ethan Winters. His love transcends his own death.
It is implied Pyroland is a representation of how Pyro feels. In the comics, he kills a hallucinated smokey the bear after Smokey tells him fire is no one's friend, and when he becomes a CEO of an engineering company, his world becomes grey and he sees his board members as paperwork speaking gibberish.
People always say Tom Nook is evil and rips you off when the man gives you a 0% interest loan for your entire house no questions asked and literally gives you infinite time to pay it back. If I am offered that loan irl I’m taking it 10/10 times
I love the list, but I do think Makoto Yuki (P3 Protagonist) would fit genuinely perfectly in the white lantern corps (spoilers for p3: he faced and overcame the literal embodiment of death itself and took it in himself to seal it away, dying in the process). Joker from P5 would also work perfectly for the Green lantern Corps, as his willpower was so unshakable that he brought himself back from existence erasure and nullified the powers of a near omnipotent being.
Dude, Tom Nook's not a villain. He's not even that greedy. He literally gives you a loan without any collateral and gives you no due date to pay it off. If anything, the ring of avarice should go to his business rival, Redd: an ACTUAL CON ARTIST.
If this was broader, I'd say for a white lantern, the big red gentle warhero giant himself, Optimus Prime. He is the embodiment of freedom, his most famous line is: "Freedom is the right of all sentient beingings." That is true throughout every version. He always fights for freedom, no matter the cost. As he says in Sybound, if only his wisdom was as great as the distance he's traveled. He's downplaying himself, not because he thinks he's horrible but he thinks there's always a better way than fighting, but it's the option he was forced into. He has beaten multiversal threats before, has some powers of a god in his chest (the matrix of leadership), and a heart made of something much more valuable than gold, compassion. He's dove into flames for his enemies before, even though he knew he could've ended the war with one act. If there is anyone who deserves a white ring, it is Optimus.

While Bowser’s unyielding love for Peach would be a valid reason for a Violet ring, I’d say that he possesses 2 other forms of love that would make him an even more ideal candidate. First is paternal love for his son, Bowser Jr, which is shown pretty prominently. But second is the love and trust for his minions, which he views as an extended family. If he’s willing to tank a planet-destroying laser to protect his army, that shows love right there.

Tom Nook really isn't greedy, it's just we assume someone in his position would be. Think about it, every time you've incurred a debt to him, yes it is a sizeable amount of money, but no interest accrues, and there is no time limit one when you pay him pack. Hell, you can go days to even years without a bell towards him, he just waits until your ready to pay it off.

Kinda funny how Silver is set to become a Green Lantern in the upcoming Sonic DC crossover comics Even though I agreed with how he works better as a Blue Lantern even before watching this
To be fair to Silver as a Green Lantern, in the current Sonic canon (which includes games, IDW comics, and other extra media such as promotional web animations), Silver is chosen by the will of the Sonic universe to be the protector of its future.
Someway, somehow, the universe always finds a way for him to travel back into the past, leaving Silver alone to question what his purpose in all of it is. Through his own willpower and determination, he uncovers the source of impending doom for the future and puts a stop to it before it can spell disaster.
Silver doesn't know any of the details about the situation he's being thrown into. It's his determination to figure out what's going on in the past and to save the future by any means necessary that makes him fit as a Green Lantern.
You can make decent arguments for both Green and Blue in his case, and even potentially earning White considering his dedication to protect the future (and therein all life that exists within it)
My pick for green lantern corp has to be Frisk from undertale since half of the whole gig is literally how they are able to save monsterkind (or doom it) thanks to the power of determination (even tho you did technically did mention the game)
Personally I wouldn’t put in games with characters from books, creepypasta or comics like Geralt because they aren’t game characters, it’s like saying batman is a game character
There is in-game Animal Crossing lore that Tom Nook is not at all greedy. Man donates 90% of his earned Bells to charity, gives thoughtful gifts to his friends, and brought one of the series’ actual sleazy businessman, Lyle, into his real estate business to turn him into a more upstanding person. If anyone in the series is the symbol of greed, it’s Redd.

Here's my ideas for the Sonic cast as lanterns:
Red: Surge - So angry at the world and Sonic that she used the Dynamo Cage to power herself up, which also took a big toll on her body, just like the red ring does. While mellowing out a bit after the most recent arc, Surge during her first appearence would be a great fit for the red ring
Orange: Eggman - As someone else in the comments said, he wants to control EVERYTHING and turn everything into robots and build Eggmanland, a monument to his narcisism and greed
Yellow: Mimic - A shapeshifter that can be anywhere at anytime. After betraying his mercenary group, the Diamond Cutters, and killing all but one of them, he dedicated his life to finding and taking out the last sole survivor: Whisper. His lingering presence took over Whisper, causing her to fear both him and being connected to others, not wanting to lose anyone else
Green: Knuckles - really any of the main protagonists could fit here, but the best fit that isnt already taken by another color would be Knuckles. The guardian of the Master Emerald, he spends his life watching over it, staying at the shrine it rests in, never faltering in his vigilance. He doesnt particularly enjoy this job, but he never leaves it unaccounted for, and stays true to his mission regardless
Blue: Silver - you already explained it well
Indigo: Gerald - He was so stricken by grief he went insane, vowing to destroy the planet in revenge, becoming a psychotic killer. This combined with how he was previously a loving individual to Maria makes him a great vessel for the Indigo Ring
Violet: Amy - Amy says in Frontiers that she wishes to spread her love throughout the world, and in Sonic 06, her love for Sonic is so strong that she says she'd choose Sonic over the world. And while this isnt true nowadays, during the dreamcast era her love was pretty toxic, trying to force sonic into a relationship. Good thing she doesnt do that anymore...
Black: Black Doom - Already having died and risen from the dead, Black Doom wished to eradicate all of humanity, believeing it to be a better alternative to them hurting each other, or at least thats the reasoning he claimed. He is also a warmongering alien, taking life from across space
White: Sonic and Shadow - Sonic was already shown in the video, but Shadow works just as well. Where Sonic embodies freedom, Shadow has conquered the majority of the spectrum, notably being Rage, Willpower, Hope, Compassion, and Love, and also embodies Life being a protector to all life on earth.

I guess it's a joke, but I think Kirby is the best representation of a Violet Lantern as he is the literal embodiment of love, though it also works for White as he is also the embodiment of life and positive emotions
The rest of the cast would possibly fall on Green's side for their willpower and heroism (Dedede, MK, Bandee, etc), Indigo for having redeemed (Marx, Magolor, Taranza (although he could perfectly fit into a Violet Lantern), etc), or in the case of Dark Matter (evil, not Gooey) and Soul versions (and Morpho who is literally death itself), Black Lanterns

Tom Nook is not the crook everyone portrays him as. In the first game, he gives a home loan to a random foreigner with no credit score, inefficient down payment, and even offers him a temporary part-time job to help get started on it. And in every game, including the first one, the contract has zero interest and no set deadline for reimbursement. Tom Nook only acts like a sleaze bag on the surface as a defense mechanism born from being betrayed by Red, the actually sleazy scam artist who will attempt to dupe anyone he can to earn a quick buck. In reality, Tom Nook is a kind man in a business that makes it so easy to hurt people, sneaking what help he can to others without giving away his actual feelings, lest they be taken advantage of again.

Knack for being the embodiment of freedom aside, I think Sonic’s place as a white lantern makes so much sense because he’s literally a master of life. His creator describes Sonic as a “fairy,” he just appears when things are going wrong and fixes it because he’s that awesome. He knows how to deal with his emotions, he knows how to handle things, he knows how to set everyone free, what sets everyone apart from Sonic is that he just inexplicably…gets it. Somehow, some way, Sonic just knows the right answer 99.9% of the time; and when he doesn’t, he figures it out quick enough to fix the issue, so much so that as another RUclipsr masterfully put it: “the plot doesn’t just happen to Sonic, HE happens to IT.”
While I dig most of these, did we even play the same Animal Crossing?! Tom Nook is a financial saint! He constantly seeks to enrich the community, he gives you a job to get you on your feet, he gives you a house when you have nowhere else to stay with ZERO questions asked, and he's even a loving single dad to his two adopted sons (I think they're adopted anyway)! Easily the kindest, most forgiving and supportive landlord to ever exist. When the deadline for a home loan is "Whenever you feel like paying", greedy no longer becomes an applicable term. If anything, I feel like an orange ring would just shrivel up and crumble if he put it on!

Ganondorf would be a great candidate for several lantern corps. Yellow is an obvious choice there is no figure in Hyrule more feared than him. The red ring of rage is a definite match as well as his anger and Malice literally births monsters and vengeance against the heroes and zeldas has fueled him for eons. The orange light of avarice with his greed and thirst for the triforce is so all encompassing it has lasted again eons. I don’t think I need to explain compassion. This one might take some mental gymnastics but hear me out, the green light of will. To try again and again despite countless failures over thousands of years is an incredible display of willpower and Ganondorf isn’t afraid of anything even when death stares him in the face he still fears nothing. The final corps he would be a master of is the black ring of death. Ganondorf has been killed and revived several times and has undead members of his army. The most famous being stalfos but undead versions of other enemies are in there too.
In the case of doom guy. I'd be that angry too if someone killed my bunny.

I know it's funny to call Tom Nook Greedy, but he does do actual ZERO INTEREST RATE LOANS WITH NO TIME LIMITS. he's way less greedy the other two.
Samus, i'd put her in the Red lantern.
Tom Nook is not a greedy business man. He never charges interest, he never gives you a due date to pay your loan, he gives your home with no down payment, he doesn’t even remind you about your loan if you haven’t made a payment, and in one game it’s said that he gives most of his money to charity.
Yes it is shady that he gives you a job to help pay of your loans and that the final price of your home is so high but he is nowhere near as shady as his old pal Redd who actively try’s to scam you out of your bells by selling fake art to those who don’t have a keen eye for detail, if Redd was in Tom’s position he would be the villain that everyone thinks Tom Nook is.

I would say that Kirby is a perfect candidate for the white ring, in his lore it is said that he is the personification of everything that is good in his universe, in addition to the fact that he has faced countless times creatures that rush towards chaos and destruction , including the god of death
Tom Nook would not be an Orange Lantern. I know the joke is that he's greedy, but when you think about it, he's really not. He sells you the house for pretty cheap (bells are yen, so 100 bells is about $1), he charges no interest, and he adopted 2 children that he takes care of. Tom Nook is a good person, and I will not stand for this slander.
Redd would have actually been the better pick for Animal Crossing. He's basically evil Tom Nook.
Ok the only one a highly disagree with is in thus list is slanderman, but not because he shouldn't be a yellow lantern but because he isn't a video game character.

Flowey ends up backpettling on that plan (pun intended) and feels genuine fear, not to mention at the end of the pacifist route (and I mean the very end) he's reminded of how it feels to feel and even goes out of his way to ask you, the player, to leave the game alone, showing empathy on his part wanting even Frisk to enjoy their happy ending.
Although technically undead he can still feel (not to mention how easy it is to anger him) he's just gone empty due to the overwhelming despair of his situation and eventually, boerdom.
Funny enough Chara (during the genocide route only) fits a bit better, being a literal ghost of sorts fully brought back to life by murderous intent incarnate that you imbued them with!

-Green: Joker (But any Persona protagonist would fit), Luigi, Samus, Meta Knight, Solaire of Astora.
-Blue: Mario, Kirby, Shadow the Hedgehog, Alucard, Mega Man.
Violet: Princess Peach, Princess Daisy, Amy Rose, Wander (Shadow Of The Colossus).

The one who's whole plot device is based around willpower, or shall I refer to it's other name, *Determination* Frisk Undertale. If they're so deterimined they can turn back time you know they can out-willpower any Green Lantern, they'd be able to throw neon green hands with a fusion of every Superman and win they've got so much willpower.
(Not to mention considering how they tend to direct their will after 2 attempts at doing good, they'd be the most dangerous lantern of any type...)

But of the ultraviolet light is hidden emotions, then I’d say the best candidate would probably be kris from Deltarune, as they’re constantly suppressed by our control over their soul, never being able to express themselves unless our choices align or contradict our own in various ways
Since Metroid is my favorite series I'm happy to see Samus at least get a mention. For the black lantern core I was expecting at least one of those characters that keeps coming back from the dead over and over again such as Ridley from Metroid, Sigma from Mega Man X (granted he's a robot so it makes sense for him) and Dracula from Castlevania. Dracula in particular would mesh pretty well with the black ring of death. As a self proclaimed Metroid lore expert I could give a case for most of the lantern cores, although it's kind of shaky with Greed and Love. Green is obvious, incredible willpower for going up against overwhelming odds solo all the time. Her Power Suit is pretty similar to a lantern ring in the sense that it is manifested and maintained by Samus' willpower and she can keep it on for long periods of time while fighting giant monsters, even to the point where the suit remains active when Samus is unconscious.
Blue works well since for the rest of the galaxy Samus is seen as their greatest warrior and protector, serving as a symbol of hope. On the flip side, for Yellow Samus is seen as the boogeyman made physical for her enemies and criminals across the galaxy, especially the Space Pirates who are her mortal enemies. Not too dissimilar to how the Demons of Hell see Doomslayer. This also can apply for the Red ring since she is described as fighting against the Space Pirates with a righteous fury. It's to the point where she manually genocided their whole race, and that isn't the first time she's done something like that. The Space Pirates are over the top pure evil so don't feel too bad. There's also Metroid Dread where she has quite the temper.
For Indigo Samus does have quite the compassionate side, it just isn't shown too much. Metroid Prime 2 is an example though where she agreed to help the local inhabitants of planet Aether out of the kindness of her heart. She isn't getting paid to do it, it's just the kind of person he is. There's also where she spared a baby Metroid that imprinted upon Samus as its mother despite Metroids attacking everything they see on sight, including Samus. This compassion she showed was repaid several times since the baby Metroid has saved Samus more than once in more than one form. I know that you described that Indigo rings bond with those without ANY compassion but I know there's been a few times at least where someone with lots of compassion has been an Indigo lantern. As a side note, Ridley would be PERFECT for the Indigo ring since he is super evil just for the sake of it. He kills, tortures, pillages, every evil thing you can think up because he likes it. If you survive somehow, like Samus, he will revel in rubbing in what he did just to make you suffer. Cherry on top, Ridley's already purple so it was made to be.
Love and Greed are a bit iffy like I said earlier. Romance isn't really a thing in Metroid so nothing like that has been seen from Samus, although having high compassion is sort of love adjacent. She's at least felt plenty of other people's love for her such as her human family, her adoptive Chozo family, among others. For Greed, despite why Samus does what she does, fight the good fight, protect people from monsters like the Space Pirates and Metroids, Samus still asks for pay for what she does. Granted, there are times where the money does not factor in like with Metroid Prime 2 and Metroid Dread. However, if you want to bring some gameplay into it, Samus constantly going on 100% runs and trying to find every SINGLE upgrade and expansion can be seen as greed. Samus leaves every mission with about 250 Missiles and a whole bunch of other stuff.
Bowser is such a perfect candidate for a purple ring because his loyalty to Peach doesn’t just span that cosmos, but literally put the whole Mario universe at risk
His love for peach is so one sided that when they were nearly married the literal manifestation of false love, the Chaos Heart, appeared before Bowser and Peach and nearly destroyed all reality

Moneybags from spyro is really greedy. In spyro 2, when his home is being conquered ripto he stops you from moving forward unless you pay him gems, his home is being taken by a crazy wizard that tried to feed one of the fairys to his pet but he doesn't help spyro until he gets paid. In spyro 3, he holds people, prisoner, unless spyro pays him and still demands payment to let spyro continue forward. He was even going to sell a baby dragon to someone.
I’ll say one good thing in defense of Tom Nook… Unlike his former partner Crazy Redd, at least the products he sells you have a 100% chance of being REAL (part of why I hate all of Redd’s clearance sale forgeries)
