Hello sir. Just wanted to clarify a few points:
1. I'm an Indian Bengali and with full authenticity I can assure you that We the Indian Bengalis don't even await, want and need the hilsa fish from Bangladesh. We grow hilsa fish in West Bengal, India as well.
2. Coming to Durga Puja, yes most of the Indian Bengalis love relishing hilsa fish during Durga Puja but we also have hundreds of other items to savour during Durga Puja but I don't buy that Indian Bengalis (even a handful) cries or dies for hilsa fish from Bangladesh.
3. Unofficially Bangladesh stopped exporting hilsa fish to India since the last few years and its perfectly fine as markets in Kolkata and other areas of West Bengal has been flooded with hilsa fish. Like I said, we grow and cultivate hilsa fish in West Bengal too.
On behalf of the Indian Bengalis, I would just like to say that we're as much patriotic as every other Indian is and this narrative about hilsa fish making some Bengalis cry doesn't make sense. Thank you Sir.

Hilsa primarily grows in the deltas, but earlier Hilsa used to be found up to Bihar. Currently, WB has been growing enough Hilsa to cater to our demands. Supply from Bangladesh has been irregular for many years as Bangladesh has been imposing and lifting the ban on export of the fish for years now, depending on their own local supply and demand.

I'm saying on behalf of many bengali people here that it hardly matters for us Elish also called as Hilsha is banned by kangladeshis, coz it is costly and at the same time by holding or seeing the fish most of us can't confirm it is from Padma river or not . Ganga and farakka hilsha is enough for us if that is also not available its completely ok. Poor people like us can't even afford hilsha fish during festival that doesn't not mean Puja is incomplete. Bangladesh Government should made the " Agreement between Government of Bangladesh and Adani Power Group" public because it is a controversial agreement, looted public of both Bangladesh and India.
1) If entire power from 1600 MW Power Plant is dedicated to Bangladesh then why the Power Plant was installed in Jharkhand, India not in Bangladesh.
2) why the area in Jharkhand where the Power Plant was installed, declared as SEZ, extending tax concession which is a huge loss of public money of India.
3) on which basis unit rate was decided 14 Bangladesh Taka equivalent to Rs 10/-, even commercial retail users in India don't pay such high rate whereas being a bulk consumer how Bangladesh Government agreed to pay such abnormality high rate.
4) if entire power produced from the 1600 MW Power Plant is dedicated to Bangladesh only then why people of Jharkhand will suffer from the effect of pollution.
