I can't say that the typo hurt overall sales because I have no idea/statistics but one thing for sure is that it did stop me from buying the Del Sols. Sure, a retro is cool but since I'm not a Kobe fan and don't have nostalgia towards the shoes themselves either, I need a real merit, a real "Protro" to shell out $175. Nice try Nike, just do it better next time!
I had the originals off ebay when they came out. Saw the SLAM magazine cover and i was like daamnn i need these. Ended up throwin em in the trash after years cause the outsole was done, before i knew u could resole Nike's... one of my life's biggest regret.
I remember owning 2 of these back in the day. They had zoom air in the heel and lunarlon all throughout which bottoms out after a few months of heavy use.

The Del Sol’s did not release here in the Ph. 😅 I think the zoom air mess up bummed a lot of people who were excited for that full length zoom when they made the release. I’m 100% bummed and got disinterested when that happened, I was so stoked last year when weartesters said that the IV was next. 😅 Draft Day cw is my 2nd favorite cw next to the Finals cw. 👌🏽
Your guess is as good as ours. Not every Protro “needs” to have full-length Zoom Air, but the “Protro” was introduced as a performance enhanced Retro. So, you’d think there were be some type of tweak made that would make them better than the OG. Maybe removing the old Lunarlon was better than leaving it in? 😅

I checked the last draft day coloway on footlocker, it did changed back to " Zoom Air unit in the heel adds low-profile cushioning." however, the current release of del so color way, it says "• Full-length Zoom Air cushioning for dynamic, energy-returning cushion. " ?? anyone???
At least she didn't say they look like the questions. And sales could be hurt by so much product releasing in such short spans. It's still a fire shoe even though it's a retro more than a protro

About the synthetic leather sticker...I was thinking initially maybe it's an indicator for fly leather, but they would opening promote that. Then when you mentioned vegans...a lightbulb went off. I honestly think that might be the reason, and if it really is, then it's absolutely brilliant marketing. You're not alienating your base and giving them the opportunity to make an informed decision.
