Hey there! In the past the youtube didn't had a possibility to up with more quality but now we can! :) I promisse that I will rip again with stereo sound and others stuffs.
By the by Nevadatyler13, Rob Halford was singing like this off Screaming For Vengeance which came out in 1982 , whereas Piece Of Mind came out in 1983.....Melissa was released in 1983 as well, just for the record. If anything, Rob Halford was the inspiration that fueled many great metal singers of the 80's.....
Back in the day they might have done this. A lot of guitar players in those days were pretty competitive in the metal world and didn’t want people figuring out what they were doing. In the early years of Van Halen Eddie would play his solos with his back to the crowd to hide his whammy tricks and taps. It was a game of constant one ups that sorta ended with the grunge era.
I just really hate that the camera man missed the first solo. I mean, when I first saw it, I said "Wait, that's not Shermann or Wead, so what the fuck is this guy doing? That has to be the slowest guitar player I've ever seen." Then I saw it was the bass, and got even more pissed that the camera man missed the solo.
@SuperEziokiller Yeah, Mercyful fate was a big influence for Metallica so the song called "Mercyful fate" by metallica is various songs by Mercyful fate.
Agreed, even when you go to see good bands (or anything non emo/pop punk/or"hard rock") people try an start a mosh or crowd surfing, but then someone gets hurt or pissed and it ruins the show. Since I'm 24 and part of the age group that ruined concerts, I hope I am not judged by the actions of my ahole peers. BTW King diamond sounds like hes in the studio laying down Melissa! Excellent performance.
@duduse On many videos from the 90's one sees thousands of people in the crowd jumping up and down and headbanging. Now it's all standing around, with a few people doing this 'wall of death' shite, something which actually distracts from the music. Crowd surfing as well. It's not about enjoying the music, but about posing.
Forever my favorite Fate song.
King Diamond's voice is amazing! The way he hits those high notes... First time I heard it i was floored O_O
Diamond’s falsetto is beautifully insane
I was there too, sweating to death, and enjoying a lot. I'll never forget this show, Mercyful Fate is awesome!
it's fucking crazy how kind diamond can go from singing so high to singing low. and its even crazier that he can still sing like this
not as raspy in the falsetto nowadays but he is still able to sing this
how lars ulrich described king diamond "the devil himself"
lived 48 years but this will always be a classic as heard on radio 1 friday rock show hosted by late great tommy vance
A MELHOR MÚSICA DE TODOS OS TEMPOS! HAIL "GOD" DIAMOND!
BIO Terrorista não exagera

Mercyfu Fate and the master King Diamond, are the most dark, beautiful and awesome expression of the metal music.King Diamond rules forever!!!
king diamond has the most unique voice :0
I wish they had mixed this better
Downfall Porno when?
Brazil
yes, zoom up on the person not playing the solo and focus on something less relevant...i wonder if they do this on purpose.

They do this because they don't understand anything about music, they don't even know who is playing the solo
Quem ta ouvindo em 2021?
I was there! Great festival!!! 🤘
Mój King !!! Mija trzydzieści lat , a ON napierdala !!!!
que pena que não era nascido ! deve ter sido um show bom pra caralho!
Eu fui, foi animal
QUE FALTA QUE FAZ O MONSTERS....
Kickass Riffmasters !! Hank Sherman and Michael Denner ,few bands come close ! even after so many years
Legendary
Seriously, this song is all about guitar solos. Who cares what the bassist does. He can't steal anything form the guitarist.
incredible!!!
he is the king of all!
great stuff-
I think this was a concert at Pacaembú Stadium São Paulo in the mid 90s.
Oh man very nice
One of MF best songs just killer.
could wish that I was there :(
yes
king king ..!! KING DIAMOND ..!!!
I was there! I wish concerts now were still like that... with everybody headbanging and having fun, not filming with digital fucking cameras!
KING DIAMOND still has it

ya bro, u dnt know how many young peeople thinks that this music isn`t so popular or whatever , well i give damn shit about that kind of opinions...
Bad Fucking Ass!!
King, you are my god!!!!!!!!
Brazil > ALL
LONG LIVE THE KING
Camarógrafo no tiene idea....enfoca al bajista en los solos de guitarra
GUILLERMO BASCUÑAN en realidad el pelotudo es el director
The camera man is not guilty. The guilty is who edited the video.
El camarógrafo no es el culpable, sino el que editó el video.
I was there.
Isso foi lá em São Paulo em Brasil que
Mercyful foi legal é rock roll
Sou sua fã mercyful mané
Será que é convidado pro Rock in Rio??
🖤🖤🖤🦇
La primera canción de una obra maestra del Heavy Metal...
EVILLLLLL
Eu estava la!
camera guy didn't attend the bass/guitar difference class..
this song came out the same year as the trooper

all hail the king
Un millon de grados , King sigue con toda su vestimenta negra xD grande Mercyful lml
Yeah... On e-mule. This is a short concert (I think 1 hour, 30 for king and 30 for mercy).
I posted all videos form this concert.
Good performance, but why the hell do they show the bassist during the first solo?
Years and years and years and years of practice and experience...but I still see what you mean lol
Fucking great even though the quality sucked.
I hope one day comes the great king Diamond to Peru. :c
Clássico!
Canta muito
King Diamond @ Air Guitar = Epic WIN!!!
@AFABIANO1 is that for me? If so, you didn't get what I said. Try reading again...
Man I used to love this shit.
That cameraman is without a single brain cell. He even goes back to the bassist again for solo #2.
Best love song for Adam and Eve, black metal god king diamond guru
damn the best fucking metal ever!!!
fuck yeaahhhh 666 sounds great as fuck
This is fuckin' A!
Toda Banda é boa, mas o batera teve bons momentos nesta performance!!
Hail King Diamond!
Somebody needs to turn Micheal Denner up. I can barely hear the guy.....
how could anyone hit such a high note without getting kicked in the nuts
showing the base player at the first solo was funny to watch

2:45 to 3:15 AMAZING why aren't they being recognized come on they're good!
the camera is having trouble to find who is making the solo lol
they tod the bassist was a guitar player in the solo.....in,..... 0:50
Agreed
w il rick!
I'm pretty sure it was Shermann throughout most of the song, solo wise anyway.
brazilian crowd rulezzz
@duduse you are just lucky!!!!!!
and yes thats the real way to enjoy a concert not with those stupid cameras
NOT ME...I THINK THE SOUND AND VIDEO ARE REALLY GOOD....NOT DVD QUALITY, BUT HEY......
lmao! XD why would they show the bassist during the guitar solo? [5x]
The voice needs moonlight to work properly.
Definitely. At first I thought "Wait, what the hell?" Then noticed it was a bass and the cameraman failed.
Hey!... Iron Maiden's "The Trooper" called...it wants its rhythm back...and Rob Halford's vocal style need not be duplicated either.
10 years later n still dumbest comment
one guy is playing a strat, the other was a flying V who was the other guy, the basist?
great, great video, but the bass no hear...
rock you
LOLOL I GOTTA GET A LEG MIC STAND!!!!! LOLOLOL
yep its fucked. but when i go to shows i get in the pit and we still go nutz. fuck yeah
