- In this video i will show you in details how actually an old CFL ballast technology works .I simulate it using LT Spice to better see things in slow motion.

Simply great!!!! My humble thanks.
awesome analysis, thank you for sharing❤
What do you think about CFL bulbs? comment down below
can we modify this kind of ballast to use with 220V LED trip to reduce flickering by making LED working at higher frequency ?
very good video ,Excellent !!!
I don't know why this man is not uploaded video from year.
Salamat lods. you're so cool
Is there a possibility of torroidal transformer to get broken? how can I test if it's ok?
What is this simulation software...I need it desperately
Please anyone....if knows about ❤
What component of the circuit goes bad when the tube is disconnected?
Hi, if a bulb has a broken heater, can I replace it with an external resistor to complete the circuit? What resistor should be used? Same resistance as the good heater or maybe it doesn't matter? I'm asking because I've tried this on 2 bulbs and the transistors went bad on both after a few minutes. I wonder if they had been on their last legs already, like if they were leaky or something, or perhaps the single heater that was left affected the operation of the whole circuit?
The the bulb will not start properly if the filament or heater , heating is needed for the mercury inside to evaporate. Maybe it will work if at least one of the two filaments are still ok
@@pinoyenginerd1091 The bulbs work for a few minutes but then the transistors pop so I'm wondering if maybe the lower resistance of the single heater affects the circuit operation and makes it draw higher current?
@@SinsBird yes it affects and overload the transistors , the filament resistance will increase as it gets hotter. Normally ,only at start, for a couple of seconds a high current passes to the heaters.
The transistors are only rated to handle the higher starting current for a small amount of time, when you replace it with resistors, somewhat its like always having a high current, and the trasnsistpr cant handle it.
What software is this?
LT SPICE
@@pinoyenginerd1091 thank you very much.
👍👍👍🌹🌹🌹
My cfl starts up about 2 minutes, works on 25% brightness, after that is 100% , where’s the possible problem?
There is none. It's normal CFL behavior due to mercury amalgam.
Nothing on how they work !
