- I Have Nothing, Run To You (2:18), and I Will Always Love You (3:28) are performed by Sheléa with David Foster on the grand piano. The Whitney Houston Bodyguard medley is followed by the Marilyn and Alan Bergman classic song “What Are You Doing the Rest of Your Life? (6:20) on Quincy Jones Presents Sheléa, recorded at her Los Angeles concert. David Foster previously mentored Charice on Whitney Houston covers a decade ago.

Known for his eye for spotting new talent, music legend Quincy Jones has called Sheléa one of the greatest artists of her generation. A vocalist, songwriter, pianist, arranger and producer, Sheléa also credits composer and producer David Foster as a mentor and has toured with him extensively. Now all three major talents appear in this new special, taped in Los Angeles in front of an intimate audience of invited guests. QUINCY JONES PRESENTS: SHELÉA is part of special programming premiering in March 2019.
Sheléa’s breakout came in 2008 when Take 6 requested that she sing lead on “Someone to Watch Over Me” for their album, The Standard, which would go on to be nominated for a Grammy Award. That track also caught the ear of music legend Stevie Wonder.
When Stevie Wonder was asked to sing for the President and Michelle Obama at the White House in May 2012, honoring composers Burt Bacharach and Hal David with the Gershwin Prize, he felt it was a perfect opportunity to showcase Sheléa. Her rendition of “Anyone Who Had a Heart” featuring Arturo Sandoval on trumpet brought down the house.

She's incredible it's weird I never heard of her before only a couple months ago and yet I have heard of all the other singers all the way back to the 50's 60's 70's and beyond up to now
Bravo! I read somewhere that she was actually not feeling well (i.e. under the weather) during the performance of this PBS special. If this is her on a sick day, I can't even imagine her full range. She did a fantastic job coming from a Whitney Stan who's very critical.
You can definitely tell she wasn't feeling well. She sings 10 times better than this. She was good here but she's better than this

I see a strong Tisha Campbel resemblance-I don't know if anybody else can see it.. As far as the singing goes, she is very talented. However, I enjoyed her rendition of "What Are You Doing the Rest of Your Life?" more than the Bodyguard medley. While she is more than able to competently sing a Whitney Houston song, she really put a unique spin on this classic song previously sung by the likes of Barbara Streisand and Fantasia, just to name a few.

If I had my eyes closed I would think it was Whitney Houston singing. The pianist is awesome. Kind of reminds me a lil bit of Tamar Braxton but she definitely has her own her sound. All the heavy hitters were in the audience like Quincy Jones and Stevie Wonder...

OMG Shelea sang with a hoarse voice at this concert. What commercial pressure to do this concert anyway. But she was smart enough not to sing Whithey Houston's songs in the original key. She has such musical talent but this American showbiness ruins even such voices. How did Diana Ross or Tina Turner survive all of this?
