I'm turning 24 this year but I look like I'm 16 or 17 so I kinda get how she feels. I also understand that people might be concerned of seeing a girl who looks so young doing 'adult' stuff (I would probably feel the urge to say something if i saw a little girl drinking in a bar) but there's no need to be harsh and insensitive. But I'm happy she has a great friend and a loving husband beside her.

She honestly doesn’t look like an elementary schooler, she looks at the very least a middle schooler. Elementary schoolers look WAY younger than her. It’s her high pitched voice, and height when she’s standing next to her husband that makes her look super young.
I also think an important fact is clothes. I have a anorak from an older sister which she had in primary school. It still fits me but it makes me look much younger than people already think I am. A girl 1-2 years younger than me thought I'm 10-12.

My mom is a small lady, she's like 4'9 (149 cm) and I'm 5'4 (163 cm) and I'm on the heavier side. Whenever we go out, people always assume that I'm the mom and that she's my daughter. My mom always say 'no, she's MY baby. I have 2 more babies at home.' Their facial expressions are always comical. They never believe her when she tells them her age and her kids' ages.
This is honestly my favorite case that was covered in hello counselor. It gives you an insight on how hard it is for people who suffer the same problems as her. Kudos to this show, really.

I've had coworkers assume they were older than me and were surprised to find out they were younger than me. I get asked for ID constantly. It's frustrating because you want to be taken seriously as an adult but it's hard when you look much younger. I already have a fair amount of gray hair but it hasn't made me look any older, since gray/silver hair has been trendy recently, so I just look like a teen following a trend. It's frustrating.

I’m 31 and still gets mistaken for a child and a teenager. I’m 4’8 and has a baby face. I can 100% understand what she is going through. It really is very hard to get through it all. People will judge you. My partner would often reassure me to just accept who I am but he does not understand that it is not that easy to get over with. Especially if people around treat you like a child anywhere you go and if you do correct them, they either get offended, or mad at you for lying when you’re not even lying.

The hospital staff should have checked the baby first, seeing as his fever was so high. I understand that a legal guardian being present is important, but they could have looked up the mother's identity later; the baby's health was more important.
Because she looks so young they probably thought she was a minor and the sister. Idk the legal age or consent laws in korea tho. In new york the parents(gaurdian, in loco parentis etc) have to give consent to treatment. Even if the baby is clearly dying the parents can say no. I hate legal issues. :(

My grandma was just like that shes never gotten passed 4'11" and looked like a teen until she was almost 40. Couple that with the fact that she was young when she married my grandpa and had kids, and the fact he aged quickly and got to 6'4" meant they had the cops called on them several times about middle aged man with a pregnant preteen. The spent a good chunk of their marriage not even being able to hold hands in public or call eachother by anything other than their first names.

My mom is a small lady, she's like 4'9 (149 cm) and I'm 5'4 (163 cm) and I'm on the heavier side. Whenever we go out, people always assume that I'm the mom and that she's my daughter. My mom always say 'no, she's MY baby. I have 2 more babies at home.' Their facial expressions are always comical. They never believe her when she tells them her age and her kids' ages.

I know how she feels quite well. I'm 32, but I seemed to have stopped aging around 18. I still look like a teenager, and people don't take me seriously. I've had coworkers assume they were older than me and were surprised to find out they were younger than me. I get asked for ID constantly. It's frustrating because you want to be taken seriously as an adult but it's hard when you look much younger. I already have a fair amount of gray hair but it hasn't made me look any older, since gray/silver hair has been trendy recently, so I just look like a teen following a trend. It's frustrating.

I’m 31 and still gets mistaken for a child and a teenager. I’m 4’8 and has a baby face. I can 100% understand what she is going through. It really is very hard to get through it all. People will judge you. My partner would often reassure me to just accept who I am but he does not understand that it is not that easy to get over with. Especially if people around treat you like a child anywhere you go and if you do correct them, they either get offended, or mad at you for lying when you’re not even lying.

The hospital staff should have checked the baby first, seeing as his fever was so high. I understand that a legal guardian being present is important, but they could have looked up the mother's identity later; the baby's health was more important.

In new york the parents(gaurdian, in loco parentis etc) have to give consent to treatment. Even if the baby is clearly dying the parents can say no. I hate legal issues. :(

My grandma was just like that shes never gotten passed 4'11" and looked like a teen until she was almost 40. Couple that with the fact that she was young when she married my grandpa and had kids, and the fact he aged quickly and got to 6'4" meant they had the cops called on them several times about middle aged man with a pregnant preteen. The spent a good chunk of their marriage not even being able to hold hands in public or call eachother by anything other than their first names.
