There is no equivalent, you should have Golden Syrup in the US (I’m pretty sure) golden syrup is a thick golden-colored viscous syrup that is made during the processing of sugar, similar to treacle and molasses, but not the same at all. It is used in a variety of baking recipes and desserts

Rich tea biscuits aren't as good flavour wise however it has a dryer crunchier texture and I recommend using.
