You have the perfect hair colour for this hairstyle, it really does look like Tauriel's hair! Haha, anyway, thanks for this tutorial, it really makes me understand the hairstyle better. :)
This is going to take me quite some time but I can't wait to do this tomorrow. I've already been wearing Legolas' hairstyle at a party and in normal daily life and when walk around with that I feel like a freakin elf (even if nobody recognise it ahah)
This hair tutorial really helped me out a great deal, I'm cosplaying as Tauriel at comic con and the wig i was supposed to get was already supposed to be braided, but it didn't so i have to learn that braid in which you showed here. I just wanted to say without your video I would be hopeless to figure it out. Thank you so much, you're awesome!!!!
Silvousplaits How did you manage to rope braid without the braid twisting itself? I watched this many times but I still don't get it? Could you help me?
You are so so talented. I adore historical inspired hairstyles and I honestly love Tauriel! She's so sassy and badass. This really does look like Tauriels hair
I've never had a fishtail braid make more sense. I was never able to do one because I was trying to hold four individual strands! I'm definitely trying this hair style now that my hair is longer!
Excellent, excellent job!! Not only is my hair poker straight, it is baby fine, which makes keeping it in ANY braid a headache, but I have found that if I spritz it with a 50/50 solution of water and Aussie volume gel. You did a great job.
I have just started getting into braiding and I thought this one looked like a simple one I was ready to take on, as soon as she started the lace braid I realized I'm not there yet. I wondered about what all was going to be involved and then I saw all the information including how much time it will likely take. This channel and Milabu are my favoites for learning to braid (I also have fine hair). I'm not ready for this braid, but I'll be back for this video soon. Thanks for this awesome channel!!!!
Im a guy with long hair, and thanks to you I have learned how to braid! it was tough at first and my arms ached, but now I am getting really good at it and I love it because now I have more hairstyle options besides loose hair, manbun, and a simple lower ponytail. Thank you so much, you are kind of inspiring to me :)
My little sister has super long red hair, so when I found this and my hair was too short for the braids, I convinced her to let me try it on her. It turned out really good! I didn't know any of the braids, but you did a great job at explaining how to do each of them in a quick simple way! Thank you!!!!!
we bought the movie on blu-ray yesterday and as soon as I saw this hairstyle I knew I had to copy it on my daughter... I just wasn't sure if those were lace braids or rope twist lace braids at the top... thank you for doing a tutorial. This is also the most accurate looking tutorial on it I've found :D
You're so welcome! I wasn't sure if they were rope or lace either, so I spent a long time staring at behind the scenes photos, haha. I decided they were lace because in some of the shots you can see the hint of the three strand braid underneath the added in sections, but I'm sure you could also do it as a rope!
This is an excellent video. im actually dressing up as her for dallas comic con this weekend and this tutorial will help me LOADS on her hair. thanks for posting this!!!
I thought the thumbnail pics were both of the actress from the film, just front and back, haha. Dead on. This tuTauriel (😉😉😉) was so easy to follow! Many thanks!
Thank you so much for making this! I cannot braid very well, especially not with my own hair. But I am going to try to wear my hair this way (or close to it) for the last Hobbit movie. #OneLastTime
I just love it! I just had my hair done yesterday for my Childhood Friend's wedding like Tauriel! :) and had Kili's exact hairclip placed in the middle. My hair is dark though. since it was a wedding, and we were rushed, I had it done by someone. However,! I'm teaching myself as well! :D
Lovely, but I'll admit to being a bit lazy and the hair though long (waist length) is thin, so I'll probably cheat and just do three strand braids put following the tying method to get the look. But still it helps to see how it was really done.
Practice practice! That's all I can suggest haha. It took me a while to be able to braid as cleanly as this, and I'm still pushing myself to do better.
That’s really pretty. I was thinking about this for Halloween, but because I work in a place where you need it “ restrained “ - I am looking for an “ updo “ rather similar . What would you recommend?
Amazing ...this is the first tutorial that I have seen that is the same as in the movie.....could you do a tutorial on the katniss 7 strand braid one ?
Probably, but it will take some organization. I practiced that one a lot on myself and I decided that I just don't have thick enough hair for it. I'll film it though if I can find a friend with thicker hair and the patience to let me style it for them!
Would it be weird to request the cover of a novel? I really like the way Blackthorn's hair is on the cover of Dreamers Pool, but I can't quite get it right.
is there a specific kind of the bedhead I noticed they had a couple different choices for smoothing serums and I've never used a product like that i have very straight thick hair but when i braid it I def have the baby hairs that need to be smoothed down. Thanks so much!
So I've now forgotten her name oops (was it TJ?) but the doctor in Stargate Universe always wears her hair in these twists that I can't totally figure out! Could you maybe have a look?
Hi :) Thank you very much for this amazing tutorial ! Everything is so well explained and this hairstyle is so faithful to the movie ! I did it today for school and I had a lot of compliments :) You are very beautiful and I love the way you explain, it is simply great ! I wonder if it could be possible to do a tutorial for Legolas' hair ? Thank you very much for everything ! ;)
This is so cool. I'm so going to try this and put my hair like this when I go to watch the last hobbit movie. Love this, and you also have so pretty hair :) are they naturally red? I'm so jealous. -roobirdy
Thumbs up if you think the video should have been called... Hair TuTauriel
agreed! (lol)

You have the perfect hair colour for this hairstyle, it really does look like Tauriel's hair! Haha, anyway, thanks for this tutorial, it really makes me understand the hairstyle better. :)
Like i cant believe how the impossible hairstyle was made possible by this woman... Thank you so much!!!
This is going to take me quite some time but I can't wait to do this tomorrow.
I've already been wearing Legolas' hairstyle at a party and in normal daily life and when walk around with that I feel like a freakin elf (even if nobody recognise it ahah)

Silvousplaits How did you manage to rope braid without the braid twisting itself? I watched this many times but I still don't get it? Could you help me?
I did this hairstyle for a banquet at my school. It went really well with my green dress but I wish I had red hair.
I loved her hair so much in the film, saw it again two days ago and now I found this amazing tutorial for the hairstyle!
You are so so talented. I adore historical inspired hairstyles and I honestly love Tauriel! She's so sassy and badass.
This really does look like Tauriels hair
I've never had a fishtail braid make more sense. I was never able to do one because I was trying to hold four individual strands! I'm definitely trying this hair style now that my hair is longer!

it's 12am and i have no time for this, realistically but i'm going to try it anyway
will try it out now because I am going to a Lotr marathon tonight but never did rope braids or fishtail to myself....pray for me xDD
I have just started getting into braiding and I thought this one looked like a simple one I was ready to take on, as soon as she started the lace braid I realized I'm not there yet. One of the best tutorials ive seen for this hair style
I really like your tutorials! You're detailed & it's easy to see how every braid is done. Your explanations are good & easy to follow^^
I'm so glad they work for you!
I'm so glad! Thanks for your kind words :)
Just keep it up! :)
This Tauriel tutorial is so good it almost makes up for those movies. Very pretty!
you do this style with such perfection. It looks absolutely gorgeous on your red hair! I love it!!
My little sister has super long red hair, so when I found this and my hair was too short for the braids, I convinced her to let me try it on her. It turned out really good! I didn't know any of the braids, but you did a great job at explaining how to do each of them in a quick simple way! Thank you!!!!!
I love Tauriel's hairstyle! Thank you for making this tutorial!
I love this hairstyle! I'm totally fascinated how perfect you can do this! Thank you so much for this tutorial!
Beautiful & elegant 💛
There's actually two hairstyles Tauriel wears there's one without the rope braids and one with the rope braids
we bought the movie on blu-ray yesterday and as soon as I saw this hairstyle I knew I had to copy it on my daughter... I just wasn't sure if those were lace braids or rope twist lace braids at the top... thank you for doing a tutorial. This is also the most accurate looking tutorial on it I've found :D

Eowyn's is so much less work. literally just loose or milkmaid style. Love this!
Oh, this looks so lovely! I love the combination of the different braids and you obviously have the perfect hair for it :)
Another beautiful elvish inspired hairstyle from the Hobbit great job! 😊👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻❤️
This is an excellent video. im actually dressing up as her for dallas comic con this weekend and this tutorial will help me LOADS on her hair. thanks for posting this!!!
I love Tauriel and I love her hairstyle!! Great and useful video as always!!
Thank you so much!! This is awesome, I'm doing my hair like this for school tomorrow.
So very pretty!
I thought the thumbnail pics were both of the actress from the film, just front and back, haha. Dead on. This tuTauriel (😉😉😉) was so easy to follow! Many thanks!

You make this look so easy, my hands feel clumsy xD gorgeous hair! :D
I actually did it!! Omg i'm so happy😂😂i didn't think i could do it😂👌
Thank you so much for making this! I cannot braid very well, especially not with my own hair. But I am going to try to wear my hair this way (or close to it) for the last Hobbit movie. #OneLastTime
Nightfury good luck and have fun!
You're so pretty!!!
Your hair is very beautiful . Perfect.
thank you!
I like it you should put that lotion on the braids.there was some more baby hairs on the braid. It looks amazing.
girl you deserve more subscribers. you're amazing!
So pretty!!!! Can't wait to do it on me!
Yep I can't do this 😂
it looks so amazing and perfect on you
Your hairlocor is perfect for this hairstyle
Lovely, but I'll admit to being a bit lazy and the hair though long (waist length) is thin, so I'll probably cheat and just do three strand braids put following the tying method to get the look. But still it helps to see how it was really done.
This is so cool! You are amazing at braiding! I think I'll take the easy way out and just make simple braids but great job!
Very beatiful nice tutorial! Which makes me think what do elives use to tie their braids ?
i did the hairstyle. it turned out ok for my first time, also got many compements at school today.
This is the most accurate to the movie I've seen. Thanks for posting it! I'm definitely using this on the wig for my Tauriel cosplay. =]
a great tutorial! I tried it out and it looks great
Could you try a Galadriel look ?
Your explanation on this hairstyle is fantastic. It still doesn't give me the ability to do it on MYSELF as you can, though!
Practice practice! That's all I can suggest haha. It took me a while to be able to braid as cleanly as this, and I'm still pushing myself to do better.
You are such an amazing hairstylist I can do this on a hair dummy but I could never make this look good. And do it on my hiar
You're hair is beautiful!!!!!!!
Only practically just discovered your channel, this video is amazing!
Oh my god how gorgeous! Sadly I couldn't even finish half of it, cus my arms died from numbness :( Your hair color's *so* beautiful too!
I think I will watch BOTFA this weekend or something so when I'm in the cinemas it's a good idea to have Tauriel hair on. Thanks for this tutorial :)
gorgeous, you did a great job. Thank You for sharing!
wow I really like the result! nice
That’s really pretty. I was thinking about this for Halloween, but because I work in a place where you need it “ restrained “ - I am looking for an “ updo “ rather similar . What would you recommend?

Hey! I love all your videos

you're a genius
I love this, thank you for sharing!
I want your hair color so badly!
is your haircolor natural? it's so beautiful
I wish I could make it to myself.. Im redhaired too!!!! Good video
I can see how this braid would be tactical, all of my hair is out of my face and it feels solid
Would it be weird to request the cover of a novel? I really like the way Blackthorn's hair is on the cover of Dreamers Pool, but I can't quite get it right.
This is so interesting , and it looks SO beautiful)))
love this video I even made my own version since I couldn't get this one down
wait... the Hobbit was 6 years ago????? SIX YEARS??????
Just found your channel and subscribed yesterday! These are fantastic thank you!
I wish I had so red hair like you
Awesome! I wanna do that, now! Only problem... My hair, which is super mega curly, might not work.... We
Thank you so much for this video. I'm going to be using this for my daughter's Comic-con costume!
is there a specific kind of the bedhead I noticed they had a couple different choices for smoothing serums and I've never used a product like that i have very straight thick hair but when i braid it I def have the baby hairs that need to be smoothed down. Thanks so much!
This one is called After Party I believe. If your hair is thick though, you may be better off with pomade or hairspray.
Omg thank you so much ! My wig isnt arrived and I'll go to a convention today ! You saved my day ! Thank you soooo much !
MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!!!! This is amazing for someone who is as obsessed with the hobbit as I am xxxxxxx
I knew you had this and I love you for it!!!!*
Disclaimer: I don't actually love you but I'm mexican so I get really excited really quickly.
So I've now forgotten her name oops (was it TJ?) but the doctor in Stargate Universe always wears her hair in these twists that I can't totally figure out! Could you maybe have a look?
After I watched the 3rd Hobbit, my brother wanted me to do this to my hair. Thanks this helped.
Oh i love this! i'm going to try this for sure!
Very good tutorial. I understood all of it.
Very nice job!!
