Funny how MAX started as a compromise, but now decades later, there’s finally talks about building a downtown dedicated tunnel that would truly transform the network!

This is so cool! The origin of my favorite transit system that my cousin uses to get to and from school each day and the one I use to got to Portland now just as frequently to train for basketball and Just to explore and wander Portland. Greets from Vancouver

What I liked about this was it reminded me of the time when no one is walking around looking at phones. Just pay attention to them. It’s refreshing.

I've ridden each new MAX line on its opening day, plus the streetcar (even got to take the "loop" a day before it was officially operating as a loop as the driver let me stay on through the bit of track that prior to the "loop" being active was the turnaround spot.)
Ah, oh, man, those old fashioned "coin drop" fare boxes on the bus as Jeff shows off how to use a transfer! I miss those coin drop fare boxes...

Cool seeing the RTS bus and those Flxibles. Those were always better to ride than the train!

Well, then, after this year, us Portlanders won't be seeing them anymore.

Kind of crazy to think what the proposed 3.5 trillion dollar package could do for cities, if in today's money 528 million (or .00015% of the package, 3.5 million million) could fund an entire 27 station MAX line.
