I know I'm rather late but I just wanted to say this is one of the better guides I've Seen and I've been watching a bunch lately cuz I just bought the game on Steam Sale
This Information and your Cat Girl is the best! I also really liked the music. I created Kaneki Ken from Tokyo Ghoul as my character. I guess the mighty Cat Girl is Kaneki's idol for ultimate power. Like Genos and Saitama.
I'm just about to go to the underground crypt and I didn't know you could modify heavy attacks. Also I've been using Ivy for a while and had no idea it did range. Also I didn't know you could combo into drain attacks. Also... Thanks for the video! Super helpful!
I'm glad you found it useful! Ivy is super good at sneaking under unsuspecting enemies. You could even make a whole build devoted to those pre-emptive attacks. Good luck out there!
I've actually never played DBD, but I watch A LOT of Otzdarva and Pain Reliever. The example isn't 100% accurate, but it serves well enough to get the point across. I'm glad you found it helpful!
Holy shit, ive been playing code vein for awhile now and i didnt even realize the ivy drain attack could attack at long range like that, wow you learn something new everyday
I tried to cram as much info that's easily overlooked as I could into this. There's a few things I had to leave out (like elemental defenses) for the sake of brevity, but hopefully it covered the most useful aspects. Thanks for taking a look at my guide!
@@PseudoDrifter absoutly, it was helpful even for someone with alot of hours into it, clearly lol plus its also a nice refresher on the mechanics of the game, like damn that legit blew my mind, i always thought it was a self aoe drain, NEVER realized you could control it like that, that would been helpful to know beforehand lol, esp with the ivy types being my fav to wear, ps major respect for a fellow member of the cat girl squad
That's a big RIP. I tried to fire off the guide before the game released, but it had a few errors. Therefore an updated guide was made! A guide that still has a few errors.
This video was a huge help for me, I'm thinking of buying the game and as per usual I like to get informed. Also very entertaining. Stay fresh homie, keep it up!
First time listening to your Tutorial...Excellent Speaking voice and explanation style so a Big Thank You I am also hoping you have one similiar for V Rising my newest downfall ! Thanks again I am watching and hopfully retaining...Hugs
@@leatherwolf7481 That's not a bad idea. Honestly, I want to make a thank you video for everyone who's subscribed since my guide was released. I think I'll do that first.
You are quite correct about that. It was a minor detail too small to warrant a second updated guide. I'll be certain to make a "Corrections" video before too long.
Big fan of Claymores and Buster Swords in all of my games. My coat is using the claw but won't use the dog heads. I hope the further I progress in story I either find a job that allows that type of coat or be slightly miserable and can't fight in style. I have been practicing back attacks on enemies with the claws but no cool animations. Should I stagger the enemy first before I get sick animation or am I just positioned incorrectly? Front parry is fine and same with the rolling. I joined the hype three years later but I did get the deluxe edition on steam so I think everything is available to me. Only 3 hours into the game if I take a wild guess if not fewer. I definitely want to master the combat system and have a unique build somewhere near end game that challenging dungeons or stronger enemies is a thrill and more up my alley.
The best way to go for a backstab is to position your character's left hand in the center of the enemy's back. Basically you want to be slightly to the right of the enemy's back. If the enemy is attacking their model might not match up to where the backstab hitbox is. Staggering the enemy is a good idea, but not required. Welcome to the world of Vein! I'm excited and happy to hear that you're having so much fun with Code Vein. You should check out sethclydesdale.github.io/code-vein-builder/ This website lets you play around with combining all the various gifts you can master. Can't wait to hear what you cook up!
@@PseudoDrifter This link has been godlike in playing around with builds and how I go about the game. Personally going with a vampire build with high Icor and regenartive properties. From what I theorized with I think my end game blood code is going to jump between Eos or Ishtar. Cool and all that big swords have big damage and two swings kills enemies but I want some DMC shenanigans with stylized combat. Supportive skills that makes it fun to play than a plank of metal that kills everything. I want to use Icor, blood drains, and some magic but to get the personalized build I want I'll have to go through the DLC. Not going to lame it out with Atlas, Beserker, etc. Not sure if online is alive or not but enough fun that I do want to try and 100% this game and all the extra content.
@@Sadeyo1 I love me some Ishtar support builds. Eos is great too! both have good Mind so Bridge to Glory is amazing on them. Same for the barrage spells. But if you really want big damage try Cloak of Winter. It's an AoE spell based off of your Mind stat that shreds anything weak to ice. And most things are weak to ice. If you want to use fancy melee skills in combat, try boosting your cast speed with items, the Gift Prowess active buff, and the Increased Gift Speed passive. Hyper speed melee skills are a blast to use. The DLC is a tough challenge. It's actually a New Game + cycle beyond your current one. Enemies hit harder and have a lot more health. The boss even has extra challenges to unlock a few things. It is pretty tough, but definitely doable. If you're crazy you can even do everything at level 1. The loot in the DLC is good too. Plenty of Tungsten and vestige cores for new gifts and blood codes. Like my favorite, Perseus. I don't know what online is like for the Steam version, but you can 100% complete the game offline. The Tower of Trials only unlocks after the end of the game and it is brutal. Like the DLC it's a NG+ cycle beyond your current one. But you get guaranteed Marks of Honor. A few runs of Tower 1 and you've got the gift that unlocks at Rank 5. Good luck with both the DLC and Tower of Trials.

I bought code vein on sale a few days ago and it's really fun! It's my first souls-like game. Thanks for the guide

Thank you! Being small has its perks lol

i didnt even know ivy blood veils went long range like that. great video
That characteristic of the Ivy veils is often overlooked. It's pretty handy if you're out of ichor and want to lure an enemy to you.
That Io joke got me! 😂
To be fair, all of Jupiter's moons are busty in this game. Io is not necessarily that special in that regard.
Me who ingore block, parry, drain attck, scaling mechanic and some how still able to beat the game with the sword interesting
Can’t wait to see what they do next for this great game.
I have a couple things planned. I'm trying to decide if I should do a simple parrying guide or a valuable-trading guide.
PseudoDrifter I’m thinking you should go with what would take the longest first.
