Very informative lesson. Love your videos! Wish you explained a bit why those two melodic minor scales work over those chords though.
If you want to complete the melodic minor circle, make the i chord CminMaj7 and play C melodic minor over it ;)

C natural Minor would fit. I think Its boring but It works lol .... I agree to approach this from different ways
HELP! The five chord in the c minor scale is g minor...not g7. How come you didn't explain why you used g7... Thanks for the lesson. M
You can borrow a G7 from its parallel C Major scale. Dominant chords like to resolve down a perfect fifth (or up a perfect fourth - depending how you look at it) so they tend to resolve back to the tonic chord whether it's Major or Minor.
