DESTON makes the other maps a little more stale now. Secret loot rooms, vaulting up buildings, launch towers. There is just a little more to do. Also the variations to the terrain is nice as well.
I think Erangel and Miramar still offer unique gameplay selling points. Miramar has such wild variety as well, and Erangel has a perfect style of comfortable rotations everywhere with smooth terrain and compound placement. Destin is absolutely top 3 maps, maybe even top 1.

I've always wanted to do a 'Secrets Of Miramar' video in a similar way but the work was daunting. Then when I started seeing all this Ripton stuff I got really excited and just threw myself into it. (miramar video might be next ;)) Glad you're liking Deston, it really is an amazing map. It's wild that Miramar came out what, 2018? Four years ago? I think it was a good idea to add these loot areas (rooms etc) it just adds another reason to go to Ripton and other areas. I am hoping that they add some of the new things to the other maps like always having a parachute.
Yup, the lootrooms are a really cool alternate objective. Pubg's primary objective is always to survive and win, but it's great when there's more mini goals along that route. The always on parachute could probably be added to all maps and most people wouldn't notice most of the time. The problem I have on console PUBG with deston is you don't get the time to explore because zone never ends there. Either ends on the left side of the map or the top of the map so you end up having to leave deston before you can get to anything. I feel 8x8 maps needs more people 150 people like warzone.
Yeah, I think you just gotta try and see what happens with zone! Even if it moves far away, airboats are usually an amazing option to rip out, unless it went north.
