I think a accent is part of the charm person's charm. By the way, when English speaking foreigners speak a second, they often have very strong accents. So most of them don't care at all about their accent and we shouldn't as well. We just need to make sure we are understandable and pronouncing things correctly.

I speak English but I am working on speaking French (Quebecois French), and here in Canada if francos hear an anglo accent, they often switch to speaking English (it seems that more francos are better at English than anglos are at French), and I really just want to speak French... so I’m working on tweaking my accent to sound more franco 😅 it’s a struggle for me hahah
