Could not agree more with the 'destination vs. journey' - not much of a journey, if ye can still see your front porch. It's not a nice thing to say, but I think so many use it as a coping mechanism when things have not gone how they envisioned. That said: Don't stop believin', hold on to that feelin'. White lights, shit lifts, woooooo! :) PS. I hope you continue doing videos akin to this series in the future, easily one of my favorites!
Did they ever make the video on different countries lifting systems? Would highly be interested in watchin that, or listening to the podcast episode on
I bet someone already made a playlist of the Sika Boys' Days in Kazakhstan videos after this upload (if you added Zack and Dylan fanboying on Ilya in a separate video, I think it counts too)
Lads - 'weightlifting and eggs' @4:40 - I'm dead. @13:30 he is timing the front squats with the same rhythm he times his jerks: two oscillations and go (except the 270; he's late on that one).
About the Greeks, and in general, it's not that missing was thought to be beneficial, it's just that when you push yourself to limits and expect adaptation, missing heavy lifts was part of adaptation. Plain and simple. Eventually, you trick the mind into getting the body to commit....
The normal folk can finally enjoy this gem. 💪🎠
Real ones know this is a reupload 🙏🙏
Its a new one for Mr. Al-Gore and his Rhythm. We should watch it again.
I saw this yesterday and thought I had dejavu. This comment proves it wasn't. Thank you for improving my confidence in my memory.
@@PaddyDoesasia-bj3bbsame dude
you can say that his technique overall was best at 96 but that 246 clean at 105 bodyweight is the most beautiful clean I have ever seen
greatest lift of all time
Please keep making these

This has to be the best way to end the week, thank you lads!
IIRC the pirate bandana era was just after his first hair transplant so needed to keep his scalp covered while it healed.
Spicy Sunday drop about a big Friday, heavy!
It would be so cool to see different countries’ systems compared side by side in one video. Hope you go into differences in technical models too
Stoked to watch this on Sunday night in preparation for Monday lifts!
28:55 caught off guard by this one
Ilya uploads and long form at? that...the best
William Perry (Chicago Bears rookie defensive tackle) was called "The Fridge" way back in 1985.

Heck yeah just made my Sunday
Intermediate to pro, efficiency is key when getting through sessions, if you're grinding lifts (outside of squats and pulls), you're a beginner.
Love it

The Fridge term might come from William Perry?
Had some important coursework due for tonight, after this upload I guess I'm just taking the 0%
30:17 Almas Uteshov. He just passed away recently, if I remember correctly, coz Ilya commented in one post in IG regarding that
*Vladimir Sedov
Uteshov is still alive
I heard Ilyin was making a comeback.
FINALLY!
