    is AE2Blend still necessary at this point to achieve this? I don't know to buy it if I don't have to

    To set the scale automatically for video, ground plane and solids (tracker points) u have to run Normalize Script before export> it will set the scale

    is ae2blend work on blender 4.0...... in the addon menu its showing a warning icon

      Yes it works with Blender 4. I’m currently using it with Blender 4. Also, this video was recorded using Blender 4. You may have it installed wrong. Are you using Blender with Blender Launcher?

      Check that the script is properly installed in the 4.0 > scripts > addons folder. That's where I put mine.

      @@pdv I can confirm that after manually dragging the AE2BLEND folder with the .py file into the addons folder, the addon works on the 4.0 version

    how about this error:

    AttributeError: 'Object' object has no attribute 'select'

    Blender just freezes after clicking "Create Camera"

      Solved... you have to save the project before to click it.
