Modified LEGO Heavy-Haul Train, set 60098! Pulling lots of cargo! With GoPro Ride-Along

Here's some footage from my latest track layout. The LEGO Heavy-Haul Train (60098) has been modified and has an extra motor so gives it more power to pull more cargo.

The lights are part number 8870 and the rechargeable battery is part number 8878, these can be bought from the LEGO shop on-line. The power adapter\battery charger is the LEGO Power Functions Transformer\Charger 10V DC Part 8887, make sure you are buying the correct transformer for your region.

Love the vid but I was hoping it would include a description of mods to increase power etc. Have you done any mods to see how many train motors you can load up off a single IR receiver?

I did the same thing too on my Mearsk Diesel so I can pull more wagons also and it worked.

+Michael Minton I missed the Mearsk Diesel. The extra motor does make a big difference, now the magnets are the weak spot.

+DunksterBricks I have a lot of the old 1980's and 1990's wagons from the battery trains and the early electric trains which I am still using today with my Mearsk Diesel as well as the gray tracks too and they still work with today's trains. No need to buy new trains and tracks since the old ones that I got are still usable which is the fun part of having Lego trains.

+DunksterBricks not sure if this would work for you but you could put the engine at the back as well as at the front so the magnets aren't just pulled along? Just my thoughts although never actually tried it (white passenger train use both cab cars with motors
