If you have any questions about my university course E&M at KCL or my London uni accommodation do let me know in the comments and I’ll reply to them all. I’m staying at an intercollegiate hall, which basically means all students from London universities can stay there, so that includes King’s College London, UCL, LSE, SOAS, Birkbeck and RVC are all here. I really like it cause I’ve met more people outside the KCL uni group and it gives you lots to chat about when making friends etc. Out of the intercollegiate halls, I’m staying at College Hall but my sister stayed 3 years at international halls so I know quite a lot about that one too. They’re all in perfect walking distance to campus and the facilities are super nice as you can see and being catered is a blessing when your day of lectures finishes at 6pm and you don’t have the energy to go shopping and then to cook it - as well as that there aren’t many Lidl’s or Aldi’s around for cheap food shopping so it can be a bit pricey. I did a video where I gave you a tour around my uni accommodation - bathrooms and pantry and all that jazz. The link to that video - • london university room...

Mei-Ying Chow omg i can imagine 😰 thank you so much for taking the time to reply! :)
This is extremely helpful! Thx for making the effort Meiying👏
That was my absolute pleasure holly! I’m so glad you found the video helpful and best of luck with your uni application and have a lovely day 💕
Thank you so much for making this video!! I found it super helpful as I will hopefully be attending King's this coming September!
It was my pleasure to make this video and help you out! Well gone on your application to kings and best of luck with your exams! My fingers are crossed and I hope to see you around kings in September 💫✨ in the meantime enjoy the lovely weather!
I'm from France and I moved to Canada for my studies. I'm currently at the end of my second year and I relate so much! It took me a year to figure out the best ways to take notes, to study, to write papers... I still struggle sometimes with that because I'm in a very multi disciplinary program, but I feel much better overall. Uni is full of struggles but at the end of the line, it makes us grow so much ! I hope I'll get into KCL for my masters (🤞🤞) and in the meantime I'll continue to watch your videos. Thank you so much for sharing everything you're going through. Good luck with uni!
Wow no way! That’s an amazing step to love to Canada for your studies so well done for stepping out like that and yes I think it’s important to highlight some of the struggles as well as the good times! My fingers are crossed for your kings masters application too and thank you for your support 💕 it means a lot and I hope you have a great week!
Thank you so much! I wish you well too 💕
Omg I also tore my ACL and got surgery in December 2016! Physiotherapy and working out at the gym (glutes especially!) then until now have helped me feel more confident post-op and so far, no injuries! Hope your ACL is doing well!
No way!! That’s amazing and yes physiotherapy has slowly taken over my life since the surgery. I didn’t realise how powerful flutes actually were or my hamstrings either!! Well done on your no injury streak - im keeping my fingers crossed and touch wood it stays that way! Thank you so much and yes it’s almost a year since operation (in July!)
Ahhh I’m confused I just watched your driving experience video and this popped up?😂 both great, useful videos though!xx
Haha yes I accidentally posted it a couple of weeks early... I thought I’d be smart and pre film a video while I have exams... didn’t work out clearly 😉 glad you enjoyed it tho!! xx
Hey been subbed to you for a while and I just want to say you seem like a very kind, friendly person ☺️ best of luck for uni and thank you for your content! Also I’ve got an offer to study Psychology at King’s this Sept so fingers crossed 🤞
That’s such a lovely comment! Thank you for subscribing and commenting Marian. The support means a lot and well done on your offer!! That’s amazing news 💫 you should be so proud of yourself!! Best of luck with your exams and I’m sure you’ll do brilliantly 💕
love the vid sis xxxx
Poppert Robbbert!!!! Thank you so much 😊 glad to call you an almost no 1 fan 🥰 you’re great xxx
14:22 i guess it’s cos durham’s not as hectic and crowded as london? would be a bit difficult to find people. not sure though, but that’s what i was considering when choosing between king’s and durham
omg thank you so much for this! i'm thinking of applying to king's :)
Yes definitely! It’s great to have something like that as an end goal for motivation 💫👌🏼💪🏼
Do you think I'll have a better sense of community at King's accommodation than I would at an intercollegiate one if affordability isn't a primary concern? I'm also a bit confused about residence for first-years. Are there specific residences they typically join at king's?
Ahhhh I love ur vids I’m a freshman of KCL this yr (I’m an intl student) and thanks for ur advicesss
Thank you so much Charlotte! That’s so lovely and it was my pleasure 💜 it’s lovely to have a fellow kcl buddy watching my videos 😆 I hope your exams are going well and enjoying first year too!
Does ensuites have catering? And does KAAS offer catering too?
Also, can u tell me if we can request two close rooms in same dorm if I’m going to kings with my best friend? And if not, are we allowed to call over a friend for sleepovers and stuff?
Omg thank you this was so useful as I want to go to kcl
Ah no way!! That’s so great to hear I could help you out and best of luck with your studies - I sure you’ll do amazing 💕
7:07 well i was going to turn up to geography in a hoodie
Please make a tour video of king’s library.I mean like a full tour of the library with the facilities and all 📚
Yes of course! If that’s something you’d like then I’ll definitely put that on my list of videos ideas 💡
Mei-Ying Chow 😍
Thanks for doing this video, it was very helpful
It’s my pleasure! I’m so glad I could help you out and give you some of opinions and info 💕
How to apply at king’s for international students?
Do you know of any American students at KCL? I’m applying to there and UCL in the fall and I’m worried that I will feel out of place
Ice skating?? You best believe im joining that!
Netflix suggestion WATCH LUCIFER amazinggggg
Your eye liner looks so good btw!
Thank you so much! It’s just a drugstore cheap maybelline coal smudge one I believe!
sorry if you've already mentioned this but would you recommend catered living?
No problem and definitely first year yes! It saved me so much money and time and also made dinner and breakfast time very social 💫
Unsure with the specifics of it for my future job.
Lol did you accidentally release a driving video? Do you have any advice on motivation for revision?
Haha I can week on week count on you for your dose of sneaky chow points -12 have been added this week! I thought I was being smart pre filming that video while I have exams but yes it’ll be out again in a few weeks so thank you for always being one of the first viewers!! Sorry about that and my advice for motivation would maybe be to watch some motivational speakers on RUclips e.g ted talks based on future career progression and listen to specific quotes etc just finding what brings you drive is a really hard cause it changes as you get older but maybe if you haven’t done that it helps me?
💕💕thank you!! ofc your videos are really good and you do this even when you have uni work going on it’s admirable! I’ve never really thought of motivational videos I will go check that out soon! My goals keep changing so much you are right what’s something that motivates you?
The fact that I have all my summer plans soon so I know there is light at the end of the tunnel. The fact I also have very little time left till my exams is an added extra bit of stress which is making me work - the stress is not great for skin but definitely helps with getting stuff done. I also just want to make family proud and be proud of myself for the hard work I’ve put in first year! There are some ted talks that I stumble upon that are great but some can be a bit preachy and annoying. My friends also motivate me a lot as I see how much work they put in so I don’t want to slack either... a good form of peer pressure maybe haha??¿?
Those are actually good motivators I need to get on find me some. I have most of those stresses too but it’s too late by the time I actually do something about it lol
I did read the description box and I really want to become a (published) writer & a poet some day☺️
Wow that’s such a lovely goal to have! I’m sure you’ll be a wonderful writer and poet - I would certainly read whatever you publish! Thank you for your support and for reading the description- 7 sneaky chow points for you! 💫✨🌟
@@meiyingchow thank youu! Means a lot. And hopefully it'll be published some day in a language you may understand. Also thanks for the sneaky points haha☺️
Applying for digital culture at kings!!! X
Good luck with your application!! I’m sure you’ll do amazing 💫🌟 x
Just wondering why did you choose KCL over LSE?
It was mainly because of the social aspect- I was looking at the student satisfaction ranks and for LSE it was quite low. Also, my sister had just spent three years at kings so I knew the environment and felt safer there. The business school also has bush house and is number 6 in the rankings! ☀️
Mei-Ying Chow Right okay! loveee your channel btw keep it up😚❤️
Any advice on going to Uni underage (do you get excluded from the nightlife events) ?
If you’re under 18 then yes nightlife is quite hard as the legal drinking age is 18 and so your id won’t work in clubs but my American friends who are 20 can drink here even though back home it would be underaged I believe!
Do people recognize you as a youtuber at your uni?
Yes it turns out a lot of my viewers are actually from kings so that’s super lovely- either that or students in London! Everyone has been super friendly and kind too so I appreciate them coming to say hey 💓
any tiiiiny youtubers wanna support each other 😇 i recently posted a uk school hunting vlog and kings was part of it 😍
Oh, it's interesting how you choose not to drink
Yea! It’s cheaper and better for my liver 😉 no hangovers either!!
@@meiyingchow does it affect social life much if you don't drink? I'd rather not drink alcohol at all, but am worried about the social consequences.
支持你!
