HTML-код

- The Escape might not be the most dynamic or showy option in Ford's lineup, but it is a solid American alternative to the RAV4 whether you're looking for turbo power, a hybrid, or ac compact crossover with a plug, Ford has an Escape for you.

I feel the ratings are not consistent across all AA/Auto Buyer's videos. You can't say you enjoy the handling and give it C+ rating.
Agreed! Which models in this class would be the B, A, A+? Since the ratings are supposed to compared against other cars in this class. So yeah, it might be a C+ compared to a Civic Type R, but not compared to a Rav 4 or CRV.
Im sure no one else will say.. not being a jerk..but..Lets use the camera and zoom in there and show what u talking bout man. Interior review was bit pretty distant & odd angles.
I miss Alex
I have a 2020 SE. I'm also 6'1". Surprised you couldn't find a comfortable seating position. I picked this over the Rav4 because the Toyota was so uncomfortable and gave me major calf and foot cramps. Also, the 8" screen pre-refresh is much better than the giant 13" one.
I have the bigger screen and I hate it.
This reviewer seems VERY green, adjust the seat... then rank it, maybe explain why you couldn't get the right position.
Looks like a Corolla cross. And the guy sounds really bored
I agree with the latter statement.
Matches the car.
Love the exterior design. I have yet to hear someone say "I like having all the HVAC controls in the screen" - from what I've seen, everyone wants physical buttons for their A/C. If I had to choose, I'd prefer having physical A/C controls over physical radio controls.
Also, if Ford is going to digital dashboards for more vehicles, I think it would be fun to have retro Ford gauge displays available to toggle through (like in the Mustang). I saw there was a "classic" and "modern" option for gauge cluster display when he was cycling through the dash display, but I think it would be fun to have some more options to customize your gauges. It would look wacky, but may be fun to choose to have the gauge display from an early 60's Thunderbird or something.
I thought it would be annoying at first too, but it’s been an easy transition. Not hard to use, pretty seamless.
That screen goes out for ANY reason, you lose your heat, A/C, heated seats, fan, temp controls, etc., I'm not impressed at all with this sync! Also, this car is SMALLER than the 2022 model. small seats, small steering wheel, small cabin. The chassis is the same size but from the doors up Ford sucked it in more! What a BIG disappointment from Ford! Miss the roomier cabin a lot. If you want a small car this, is it! I have one and will be getting RID of it soon. It's like a girl's car also loaded with cheap plastic!
I want to like the HVAC controls on the screen but when I see how you tap tap tap to use them I can't get over how bad that is 😓
Can't believe you couldn't find a comfortable position. Overall I'd rank this one among the Toyota and the Honda, but for me the styling of this one is way better, so it's my favorite.
I’m not sure what his issue was. I own a 2023 Ford Escape PHEV, I’m 6’2”, and have plenty of space.
The video was OK until we got into the interior and the camera didn’t move the zooming onto the console, dashboard, etc. I bailed from at that point. Alex, we miss you.
Is this the American Kuga?
Essentially, yes
Paid $23K new for our 2017 Escape SE. Love it, but can't imagine modern prices.
Me too! Almost a 50% price increase. I think companies had to bump the price of their petro cars to fund their switch to EVs. Sucks to middle class.
Glad to see the spare tire!
Sure would be nice to see the interior, his videos don’t have the same vibe as Alex. Also, dude is boring, so monotonous.
Yes what happened to Alex
Couldn't agree with you more...so blah
I like the overall design. One thing I desperately wish is that Ford would spend less money paying large sums to the officials on top and would more invest in the product itself and the workers.
I’d pick the rav4 over this
But I’d prefer the previous generation escape. That model looked a lot better and it was nicer inside
Gma has one and after riding in it, agree. I tried driving it and it was so responsive and easy to drive. That’s the Hybrid one I drove. I still think an Eclipse Cross looks cooler though, but still the driving dynamics in the RAV4 are amazing.
I picked the 2023 Ford Escape PHEV because in my eyes the Escape looks so much better than the RAV 4 haha! To each their own!
@@skycaptain3344It kind of has the RAV4 looks to it.
I think of buy new 23' Ford Escape Platinum.
Nick, How long is the waiting list for the Escape compared to the RAV4? 🤔😉
Shouldn't be any waiting. My dealer has 12 on his lot, right now. Since Escapes don't sell as much as RAV-4s or CR-Vs, you should be able to find one pretty easily. I would say, drive all three, back-to-back. I have a 2020 Escape S AWD.
I have never heard anyone say they cannot be comfortable in Ford vehicle. They have some of the best seats in the market. The handling is better in this over the Rav4 and the CR-V. The review definitely seems biased and the monotone report is boring to watch.
Not bad, but I'd rather get a Forester or Outback for that kind of money.
Looks good, but I love hrv more and wish Acura did maybe as ILX
You would fit nicely in my Maverick, more room, fewer features, yet at a much lower price. Well done review.
Let’s bring Alex back. Who are these guys?
I prefer the pre-facelift interior. Better screen performance even though less features and the heater controls are physical dials as which work much better and more easily when you're driving.
Its also got a power socket in the centre and a few other bits that make this one look like they cheapened it.
That little storage cubby behind the gear dial is where the ev/mode buttons used to go in the old one so if thats the same in the new one its probably just there to avoid a blank rather than any real purpose.
Overall not really impressed. The outgoing car seems better and compared to the competition its thirsty, expensive and has nothing to make it stand out as being better.
The original was good for its time but things have moved forward while this has taken a step or two back.
Not fair that Alex has gotten better looking over the years. It must be a result of living off the grid in CA mountains.
😅😅😅😅😅
Yeah, this guy is pretty to look at
Isn’t this fellow also on driving sports TV? They all part of the same network?
Not me absolutely Stalking alex on autos. The fact y'all are in Seattle now is so exciting!! Definitely one of my favorite car channels. Lovw the review, Nick! I was also way more impressed with the '22 escape we rented recently. I was expecting far less.
I LOVE my 2024 ST Elite!!!
Is there Homelink garage door opener included in this package? Seems like most of these car reviews, the host doesn't even know what they are for. "Them three little buttons do something"? I can't blame this young fella, his mom and dad probably won't let him use the garage. But Alex always skips over this feature too.
I wonder if length measure comparisons are accurate. Forester is not bigger than Tucson
You never have to pay sticker on a new Escape they always have rebates too and you end up get thousands off an Escape.
Fire this reviewer, Alex!
I dunno what Ford did, but the newer Escapes, the drivers seat feels like I'm sitting on someting. I keep getting in them and being like "oh did someone leave something on the seat?" nope, just the seat.
The front end looks 100x better. Not sure what they were thinking with he design pre-refresh.
I will start by saying, I am a quote Ford guy quote. It is pretty clear to me that the Escape is being used to Edge out the edge. Pun intended. For 2023, and a couple of years before that, Ford's recall rate is horrific. Until they workout their quality control and quality problems, I would not buy a new Ford vehicle. And, as I said, I am a Ford guy.
Holy... 31 combined and they want to beat the Rav4 ROFL 😂. I also have a limited 2023 Rav4 Hybrid. No issues at 6.2" in front or rear seats with leg or head room. Also the Rav4 rear camera is inside the cab, so smarter design over the Ford external camera. Super happy my car controls are not located on the infotainment system, hate that. How do you know Toyota is hitting Aces? Because Ford tried to copy, in my view unsuccessfully.
That was as exciting as getting a root canal on a rainy Thursday morning. Prefer to chew glass rather than watch that again.
You expected to be excited by a Ford Escape review? Lol
@@emoney1231 Clearly you don't know what a great presenter can do.
@@bigmacdaddy1234 Just go chew your glass bro.
@@emoney1231 I did. You want some?
Hope you do the 2024 Mustang Ecoboost soon.
I'd take the more modern options from Kia and Hyundai.
I would too.
The Escape and Corsair, and the Transit Connect van are all being canceled for 2025.
Is this confirmed? What are your sources?
Ford Press Release and comments by Ford CEO Jim Farley
Yes, Ford did state this on August 30th, as they’re moving to electrify. This was reported by Motor1, AutoBuzz, The Torque Report, and even KBB.
Interestingly, the very closely related Maverick and Bronco Sport will continue.
I got bored watching this video at 2x lol 😂 I'd not watch a video if this dude is the presenter.
Toyota and Ford are far apart from each other regarding quality. A Rav4 could easily last 500K miles where a Ford is lucky to last until the 48th payment is made.
Who the F wants to drive the same car for 50 years?
@@pooh4519No one, but you want it to have a decent resale value.
@@afcgeo882 So you drive a poor 'drivers' car for years just to get a few bucks extra!
@@pooh4519 None of these are sports cars.
Harpo! Who dis man? 😊
Interior look like $29k vehicle
Typical boring Ford design, almost as bland as GM.
Did Alex’s channel get bought out? Make them coins.
He’s so charming
Wow… I trust this channel with facts, but this video lacks them, substituting them with BS.
The Escape has 6.8 to 7.3 inches of ground clearance, not 8, and the 2.5 Hybrid power numbers are completely off, quoting only the gasoline engine production, without the electrical motors. It makes 200hp, not 165. Lazy research!
Yet another reason climate controls should never be in a screen.
I like the information----consistent----
Removal of physical a/c controls.... No likey
He’s so hot! Dam! Good hire.
Alex, is that you?
you look so different!
Thanks for the review anyway ...
👍😁
Excellent video Nick.
Sorry but I have to say it, I miss Alex.
Wait till it bakes in a 40 percent raise and a 32 hour work week. This will be a bargain then. Pass get a good used car less than half price.
