GEORGIOUPOLIS - KAVROS 08 10 2023

Georgioupolis - a tourist resort on the northern coast of Crete, located between Chania and Rethymno. It is famous for its 9-kilometer long sandy beach and old eucalyptus trees.
In the town there is a fishing port, a small market square shaded by eucalyptus trees and a chapel dedicated to the patron saint of fishermen - located at the end of a stone pier extending far into the sea. Many cafes, taverns and restaurants serve local delicacies. It is worth going on a trip to the mountainous area and small villages, and to the freshwater lake Kournas.

W miejscowości znajduje się port rybacki, niewielki rynek ocieniony drzewami eukaliptusowymi oraz kapliczka poświęcona patronowi rybaków - znajdująca się na końcu kamiennego mola wybiegającego daleko w morze. Wiele kafejek, tawern i restauracji serwuje przysmaki lokalnej kuchni. Warto wybrać się na wycieczkę po górzystej okolicy i małych wioskach, oraz nad słodkowodne jezioro Kournas.
