Hi Lauren, Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year, it's the 2nd here in NZ, right now. The Christmas cookie tree is really easily made. You can buy sets of stars, or just use a series of different sized stars you may already have. They're literally made so the biggest star is on the bottom and the smallest at the top. I used to make them from circular cutters prior to purchasing a set of stars long ago. They worked just as well. Your sugar cookie dough would be awesome for this. What an incredible couple of days prepping for Christmas and enjoying your Christmas Eve with family. May God continue to soothe your heart. It reminds me of my niece who was born on December 26, the same year as my youngest. They were only a few months apart. She was killed in a freak one car accident several years ago, just as her life was really coming together. It happened during lockdown so we put together a huge funeral in a private park in the woods. She really loved God and we know where she is. We still really miss her. We had some bad news right before Christmas, my youngest and his partner lost a baby. It was her first pregnancy. So lots of good things and tough things, and lots of memories. God bless you all. I pray you had a fantastic Christmas and that you all have a happy New year. A safe, fun, loving, joyful year. May you make wonderful memories and achieve all of the goals that you aspire for.

Your boys reaction to smelling the wine was just like mine. My teetotaler Baptist Mom made sure we didn't drink. Personally, any alcohol tastes like cold medicine to me. Even now at 66, if I have a glass of wine with friends, one glass lasts all evening and I still have some leftover in my glass.

Lauren, PRINTER SUGGESTION!! Last year for Christmas, I got the Epson 4850 (Shaq advertised it) which uses ink wells instead of cartridges. I print every day for work at my church, often multiple color copies. After an entire year, I have only used about half of each ink well. I am a huge fan of this printer and this cartridge-less system! Bonus - the ink bottle refills are between 18 and 25 dollars. AND, Violet is amazing and your boys are just the best. Your Maggie will always be visible through all of them. Blessed New Year!!!
We finally got fed up with always needing ink, so last year we went to Costco and bought the Epson too. Expensive, a little, but we caught it on sale. My husband has now said at least three times, I'm so glad we got this. The ink has gone down very little, and it works like a charm. Best one we've ever had.
Can't believe how big violet is getting. I can't believe she was premature. I know this will be a special Christmas and first birthday with Violet. Maggie will always be with you. I'm so glad you have great helpers to help you with Christmas preparation.

Thank you for always sharing such a raw, realistic (whether that be joyful or times of sadness) view of your family. I have been here watching since before you conceived Maggie and Violet. The journey you have shared with me and so many other people has been that of a special one and I personally can be nothing but grateful for it. What amazing parents you and Mark are and what a positive outlook on life you have had and continue to do so regardless of the immense heartache and break you as a whole family have experienced. Continue being you, always. Although I do not know your family personally, my heart still aches for Maggie but I know she will be looking down/standing beside you, Mark, the boys and of course her beautiful sister Violet filled with so much love and joy.

Lauren sweetheart God always knows what we need. I loss my mother on December 24th when I was 39 and now I am 66,and recently loss my daddy 1 year ago on December 20,2023. So I resonated on that beautiful message. For my Christmas was so special beautiful for my parents are watching over me as we celebrated Jesus Christ birthday. Hi Lauren, Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year, it's the 2nd here in NZ, right now. The Christmas cookie tree is really easily made. You can buy sets of stars, or just use a series of different sized stars you may already have. They're literally made so the biggest star is on the bottom and the smallest at the top. I used to make them from circular cutters prior to purchasing a set of stars long ago. They worked just as well. Your sugar cookie dough would be awesome for this. Have a wonderful Christmas and New Year, the photos of Violet reading the book were stunning! All those boys so love their wee sister. Thinking of you and wee Maggie at this time. It reminds me of my niece who was born on December 26, the same year as my youngest. They were only a few months apart.
She was killed in a freak one car accident several years ago, just as her life was really coming together. It happened during lockdown so we put together a huge funeral in a private park in the woods. She really loved God and we know where she is. We still really miss her.
We had some bad news right before Christmas, my youngest and his partner lost a baby. It was her first pregnancy. So lots of good things and tough things, and lots of memories.

Your boys reaction to smelling the wine was just like mine. My teetotaler Baptist Mom made sure we didn't drink. Personally, any alcohol tastes like cold medicine to me. Even now at 66, if I have a glass of wine with friends, one glass lasts all evening and I still have some leftover in my glass.

Losing a child no matter how long they've been alive is very upsetting. I've lost 2 to miscarriage. Even after 24yrs and 12 yrs I still cry on the holidays ad their would be birthday. Happy holidays ❤❤❤❤

Lauren, PRINTER SUGGESTION!! Last year for Christmas, I got the Epson 4850 (Shaq advertised it) which uses ink wells instead of cartridges. I print every day for work at my church, often multiple color copies. After an entire year, I have only used about half of each ink well. I am a huge fan of this printer and this cartridge-less system! Bonus - the ink bottle refills are between 18 and 25 dollars. AND, Violet is amazing and your boys are just the best. Your Maggie will always be visible through all of them. Blessed New Year!!!
I have thought about that one! I finally had time to give my printer a hard reset and got it working again so I will let it live a little longer 😂
We finally got fed up with always needing ink, so last year we went to Costco and bought the Epson too. Expensive, a little, but we caught it on sale. My husband has now said at least three times, I'm so glad we got this. The ink has gone down very little, and it works like a charm. Best one we've ever had.
Can't believe how big violet is getting. I can't believe she was premature. I know this will be a special Christmas and first birthday with Violet. Maggie will always be with you. I'm so glad you have great helpers to help you with Christmas preparation.
