- Today we’re Metal detecting the beach early on the morning of July 5th! Looking for all the fresh drops from the holiday weekenders! First stop was Huntington Beach just to see how many people were there detecting…. It was a lot. Then off to Laguna Beach where the gold starts showing up!

Nice hunting on Huntington Beach, I hunt daily here on the treasure coast of Florida, we have 11 Spanish galleons ships that sunk off our beach here in 1715, silver and gold coins wash up on our beaches here, happy hunting, Fireman Jim 4:05

14:11 man Id get anxiety detecting so close to so many people hahahahha. Sometimes I'll go to a park and there will be 1 person in it and I go "NOPE, too busy" and leave 🤣🤣
It’s weird because I feel the same way in a park. I could hunt a beach shoulder to shoulder with people, but if there’s a single kid in the tot lot I wanna go home and hide 🫣 I think it’s because parks have fences. I get claustrophobic in there 🤣🤣

What I find amazing is how many people wear jewelry onto the beach and into the water, knowing that the water is going to act as a lubricant and their wedding bands and engagement rings will probably become loose and at risk of being permanently lost. In addition, the water, which is colder than a person's body temperature, is going to cause one's skin to contract and shrink so that even a tight-fitting ring is going to be that much easier to lose.
