There are many types of charity in Islam. What is compulsory in our religion. Like Jakat, Sadqah etc. You can give money, books or other things on that occasions. But for Qurbani, You have to give meat what is halal. Poor people who can't even find food for that day will get foods for entire month or soo. It is very important for countries like India or Bangladesh, Which have intense protein deficiency.
How cruel to slaughter the goats. Didn't you feel bad since you were feeding the goat since so many days? Really don't understand how you guys can do this

Because we look at the bigger picture, look at how many poor people who may not even get one meal a day get will be fed from this. Also because it is a command from Allah, one of our prophets was ordered to sacrifice his son as a test and when his faith in Allah did not falter and in return he was granted with so much mercy from Allah. Instead an animal was placed in the sacrificed. And so from there it is part of our religion. It’s not your belief so u don’t need to understand
Dont you feel cruelty when foreigners and whole wide world is eating non veg ??? Mcd kfc other hotels and restaurants and other hindus Christian etc etc eating butter chicken so called Indias famous dish in abroad ???? Why you remember cruelty only on bakra eid ???? Get a life

But my only question was why treat the Goats so well, feed em, pet em so much and then kill them. Basically I am referring to the attachment one may have after keeping them for over a week. Rest I understand now why sacrifice is important
