RustyAutoCityE cheers buddy glad you like her. We are chuffed she is back on the road. We have more bodywork and some other bits planned but really to just use her and maybe a track day 😉
The Si badges are quite hard to come by now, I don't understand why you would take it off and fit the 1.3i badge? Yes, it would have come from the factory with a 1.3i badge but it's then had a conversion by John Cooper to Si spec hence the Si badge.
Classic Mini Workshop Hi Keith, We don’t plan to remove the Si badge we are adding the 1.3i badge to it. Not a hope that badge is coming off that car. It’s what makes it what it is. Cheers for watching 👍
Hey glad you like it Graeme, it’s been a long time coming seeing this little gem on the road but wow what a car it handles and sounds so nice. Well worth all the effort for sure.
@@SimpsonsClassics I was thinking about doing something to my Dad’s Volkswagen Bug (the one in the photo). I’m thinking a Cal’ Looker crossed with a Retro Cal’ Looker will be a good option with a 2337cc Turbo Engine or 2180 Stroker engine with Dual Webber Carbs (for the Stroker) and a Gene Berg 5 Speed Manual.
@@SimpsonsClassics at the moment, He’s currently running a 1285cc engine with a 4 speed manual producing 40 or 45 BHP at 3,500 RPM and a top speed of…79mph (even though he prefers to be at 60, it’s a white knuckle driving experience over 60).
Great work always, though running a harness at that angle and on a reclinable seat would = seriously injury / worse. A regular belt would protect a lot better.
@@SimpsonsClassics aah fantastic to hear bud. I've unfortunately seen so many bad things happen I couldn't not mention it ❤️ loving the content, I'm back into mini ownership after ~20 years (now got number 6) and your channel is a real inspiration
@@russ__TV yeah the cooper wasn’t mine and I noticed it straight off buddy don’t worry. So glad to hear you are back in a mini. Thanks for supporting my channel 👍
@@SimpsonsClassics oh I knew it wasn't yours; I thoroughly enjoyed the work you did on it! Can't wait to see what else you have lined up. Very tempted to put my rebuild on my channel.

@@SimpsonsClassics yeah it does look very nice as it is👍. I think like all Minis (and as James said) they are a never ending project haha and especially when the door is repaired from the rust it will be even nicer
