It's really interesting to hear different interpretations of the Phantom of the Opera live; to see how performers bring the characters and story to life in different ways. My highest recommendation is for the 2005 Nightwish performance of "The Phantom of the Opera" from the "End of an Era" concert specifically. That performance was with the original female lead vocalist, Tarja (pronounced Ta-ree-ya) and another former band member Marko (base-player and vocalist) The final 90 seconds of Tarja & Marko's rendition should ideally be allowed to play out uninterrupted on your first watch through because the momentum it builds is quite simply sensational.
