Do you ever go on the upper Umqua above Tiller ? One advantage with dream mats or drop riffles is clean up times are real quick and if you set them up right they are great at catching -100 mesh gold.
We have +10k users running dream mat. Plus 100's of videos of them on you tube with no mat rising up. I've never had a mat rise up. Give me a shout out & we can show you lots of videos like Jeff Kings, who run in fast water like we have without your mat rising. One tip is the water over the mat is real thin & deep in the back. Most people have a more even flow over the mat. I actually have a video showing setup in almost same conditions with no floating mat, but its got even flow over the mat.
Just wondering if you actually test panned any of the material that you ran thru the sluice. Then you would know better if you were actually losing any fine gold. I really like the mini mats made by Dream Mat. I have never used the original ones like you are using. Thanks for sharing your adventure with us! Peace out and heavy pans!
Yes I have tested multiple areas in this area so I’m sure I lost a little bit but it did capture a good amount I agree about the smaller mat I have one that I need to get a box for.
Nice gold I prefer dream Matt myself once you get it down it's good . Me and my family like your RUclips content but Tik-Tok is not an option not allowed in my house. But we will continue to support on RUclips...
I took the family to the south Umpqua this last Sunday. I didn't get much, but I'm not a gold finding god like you lol. Plus dealing with 3 young kids while trying to dig and pan isn't easy.
Well I went through my material from the sluice and didn't get much. But I did get 1 little picker out of some root balls I took home from the river grass that was growing in the crack of some bedrock. My first ever picker. Wasn't big at all but it did start back up my gold fever just when I was thinking all this hard work has been for nothing
On the Umpqua River what type of equipment are you allowed to legally use to prospect for gold? Where can you get current relevant information pertaining to these current laws in order to be in compliance?
Sluices are ok but no motorized equipment. On non esh, rules are different. Start researching esh vs non esh and join a club that has claims n the non esh. But I also try checking county laws also. But a sluice box is fine here!
Yeah you need the minor mat its more handy then big one and IV never lost gold in my goldmat Remember don't feed it to fast and that's odd it was flapping
right on. I just got my dream mat 3 combo
Love your videos man! This ones quick and informative. Thanks!
I got the combo dream mat. I love it

Have not been up in that area I will look it up
A majority of Tiller and Days Creek is claimed and/or private property.

Yeah it was a little bit annoying but test is a test for a reason
@@pnwprospecting Yup I never had a problem with mine and I use pocket SLUICE as well
I think it’s not sealing along the sides so I’ll add some duct tape strips along the side like gold hog mats.
@@pnwprospecting Oh that's strange maybe add side angle plates
I’m getting ready to cut some gold hog matting to go in there
Poverty flats is soooo much better.
Different part of the state.
@@pnwprospecting Poverty Flats is Dole Rd in Myrtle Creek. You're at Lawsons, right?
@@pnwprospecting Hit me up on FB next time you're in the Myrtle Creek area. You can find me in the prospecting group.
Ah I thought you were talking about poverty up in NE Oregon over by Pendleton
@@pnwprospecting yeah, Dole isn't often referred to as Poverty Flats.
Dream mat works great for small material catching small gold! Outside of that it sucks!! Plain and simple!!
