Great video. I'm also researching aftermarket shocks for my stock 2019 1000-3. Prices are crazy for shocks!

Would you still recommend the vertex shocks?

@@nitrotmann Definitely. We recently got a new Talon R with live valve and the Pioneer with the Vertex Shocks and long travel kit is a smoother ride than the Talon. Of course the Talon has more travel but the Pioneer.

How did you come up with the idea for where you set your preload?

@@keithdunnivan8099 I just started out there based on research I did in the Honda Pioneer Facebook groups I'm in. I ended up adding a little more a couple hundred miles later because I carry a lot of gear when we ride.

This is cool. I was watching your videos before we bought our Pioneer. Good content! Thanks for reaching out. I watched your Fox Shocks videos a few time.

I’m comparing the vertex to the fox and like the adjustability of the vertex. I’m just wish I knew if rheumatoid arthritis fox was worth the extra money.

Hey enjoyed the video the base model sims like a good way to go so you can add things to the machine as you can afford them….. the deluxe and trail models are nice but way over priced…. Getting a base model 3 seater at the end of July… the plastics on the side do make them look a little better but I’ve heard they just get damaged when trail riding

I think the base model is the way to go. Honda has really gone down the cheap route with those plastic door panels. They use to be held in by screws but now it's just push pins that come loose from the factory. The colored door and bed panels do look way better but it would be best if you just bought them separately and install them yourself.

Ron ayers has the best price on the Honda pioneer fox shocks. Make an account and add to cart. All 4 should be less than 1500.
