I hate that Eupen wasn't added as a state. After playing TGWR for a long time I fully expected that to be added since they add other states like south Jutland for Germany to retake.
They answered that they don't add it to don't get too much state buffs/abuse (or smth like that) and said eupen is too small to be added (I don't like this too)
I think Northern Dobruja has 6 slots because Paradox tries prioritize more building slots for the coast, so if the player for whatever reason wants to do a naval game he can build a large number of dockyards. This happened in toa when Paradox gave the brazilian state of Espírito Santo 4 building slots and only 2 for Minas Gerais, besides Minas being 10x larger in area, population and economy at the time

In some ways, a smaller state having more building slots is realistic. With Romania, during the 1930s and 40s, the south was much more developed than the north, alongside Dobruja being coastal makes it likely to have more building slots than Moldavia

But the development on a state doesn’t depend solely on population. While yes it plays a big part, other factors to can have an effect, like the ability to develop. Coastal states/provinces haves much more access to the sea, making trade and industrial development easier.
3:50 I actually think its quite accurate. Wallonia irl has good industrial development thanks to its mining of coal and iron. But urban development is relatively quite lower due to spreaded out population and its very foresty region. Flanders has extremely well developed agricultural sectur, good amount of urban and rural development especially with the inclusion of brussels, the big port of Bruges and plenty of industrialisation. Antwers if i recall correctly has one of the most industrialised zones of the country, thanks to the port of Antwerps being a close acces point and it being one of the biggest ports of the world. Their economic output per person is probably ahead of the rest of the country and the potential of further development is also very high. Unlike flanders, they are more urbanised and don't focus as much on agriculture. Basically I think flanders having the edge over Antwerps, but both being better than wallonia makes sense.

There doesn't really need to be new provinces at this point, beyond maybe splitting up some lingering provinces made up of multiple significantly sized islands if any still exist. They need to be clickable for people with models instead of NATO markers after all. Despite being a map game I'm not really bent out of shape about inaccurate map proportions so long as it's not awful and egregious.
Congo gets a core on Barotseland from one of the early focuses. I think it might be one of the fast civil war ones. It’s not much use because you don’t get to own it.

The explanation why someone states are copied: in informatic, we will not recode everything when that thing already exists, so we copy and change some values and voilà: there's your new state!
The point is that PDX was so lazy when creating the new states that they didn't even consider their size and population from economic perspective, they just copied them from other states where there was actually some logic. This is especially funny because Paradox justified leaving out the Mura and Eupen states by saying it would unbalance the game due to the extra factories. And what do they do instead? BAM! Northern Dobruja, with a population of 300k, has as many slots as Wallachia.

Yeah. Plus they should also add nancy/nanzig for France as well, but I play RT56 which has had eupen malmedy for a while so I didnt notice much
