  • In this video I am installing the VLAND tail lights for my 2014 Mitsubishi Lancer GT. The installation is simple and straight forward. These have the updated resistor that allow the revers lights and camera to stay on indefinitely. Leave a comment if you have any questions about them.

    Your amazing!! You just saved me a ton of stress on swapping the lights around to get them in the housing. Thank you so much

      Thanks. There aren't many out there that show where the wiring goes and what to do if the wires are flipped.

    Any idea if it's possible to have them come on when locking/unlocking the car.

    • @josestechcorner
      @josestechcorner  2 года назад +1

      The taillights do come on when unlocking the car. The florescent bar will stay on for about a minute and the hazards will flash when you unlock. When you lock the car the hazards will flash. That's about it.

    I recently installed these but my reverse camera and lights turn off after a few seconds. Where do you purchase the updated resistor?

    • @josestechcorner
      @josestechcorner  3 года назад +3

      My set came with the updated resistor. You may have to go and purchase a resistor and install it. I've only see one video for guy that had to do that but I don't remember his channel name. You can also try emailing vland customer support and have them ship you an updated resistor connector.

    Hey I was wondering if you had any idea if these would fit on a Mitsubishi Lancer Activ?

    • @josestechcorner
      @josestechcorner  2 года назад +2

      If it's the hatch back or shooting brake as some call it. Then no these will not fit unfortunately.

    are all 4 supposed to be connected on the same line? bc i have the exact same lights as you do

    • @josestechcorner
      @josestechcorner  2 года назад

      There's gonna be a connector you're not going to use. The harness for the small running bulb will not be used. You can tuck that one away.

    • @josestechcorner

      If you still have warranty on them, contact v land to get a replacement. Otherwise you may have to get a new set.

    Can you show what to connect where cause my don’t work idk how to fix it

    • @josestechcorner
      @josestechcorner  2 года назад

      About 1 minute into the video I show where the connectors go plugged in. If you have them that way and you still have no power, then take the connectors and flip them and insert them again. If you still have no power then you might have a faulty unit.

      I've heard mixed reviews about longevity so I really can't say. But the ones that I've had still work fine, I've had no issues with them.

    So i have these taillights in the smoked red but the outer passenger corner light does this flickering, and when there off a small section stays on i could show you a video of what i mean you have Instagram ?

    • @josestechcorner
      @josestechcorner  3 года назад

      That sounds like an issue with the wiring perhaps? I only have twitter. If not working then you may have a defective tail light. If they are less than a year old, try requesting an RMA on that light to get a replacement. Check the resistor as well cause that could also give you issues.

    I've had these for a year and the drivers side brake light on the outter section has stopped working. Everything else does except the brake light. Reseated the cable and no change. Vland wont even respond to me. Any ideas?

    • @josestechcorner
      @josestechcorner  3 года назад

      Check the connections and look for any corrosion or indication that water may have gotten into them. If it's been more than a year of ownership, it's best to replace the tail light. I haven't had to deal with the company for any issues yet. It sucks that the light has gone out.

    I am interested in buying this but I think the turn signal light is too small and the vehicle behind may not see you when turning

      I haven't had any issues with my set of headlights and taillights from them. I do recall watching a video from a guy who had the Lancer Ralliart and his reverse camera wasn't working correctly after he installed the rear tail lights. He fixed it with an extra capacitor I believe.
