The selection of 2000's anime openings could have way been better. Air, Black Butler, Spice and Wolf, Pandora Hearts, Bakemonogatari, Welcome to the N.H.K, Clannad, Ghost in the Shell: S.A.C. 2nd, Blood+, Full Metal Panic and Baccano. All of these anime are either more popular or had better openings than some of the other 2000's anime openings in this video.

2020 - 19; 2000 - 11. I look at coments and this wierd that people write about how bad 2020 anime is. We only need to pick op.
Fairy tails opening isn't the best but the ost hits like a truck

2022 Bleach opening vs 2006 Bleach (American air date) opening... easy peasy, *~Asterisk~ will continue to be a top 5 favorite for many years to come.
I feel like these are unfair fights we got, I mean don't get me wrong sometimes you add hard hitters like death note or fairy tail but most fights is an obvious popular new gen song vs one that barely is even recognized or the weaker openings of the anime

One piece over demon slayer, really? The arc for one piece covered is infinitely better, but song wise? Demon slayer clears imo. Really dont get how someone would think otherwise so honestly explain it if you want id genuinely be interested

It's not black and white both are grey
Its because you only remember the classics from the 2000s. You dont remember the ton of mid and bad animes from back then, while recent animes are fresh enough that you do.
We're also only in the 4th year of the 2020s so there are alot less classics. Youre also probably nostalgic.

I dont watch much anime very much so all my picks were very unbiased as i don't know 90% of these anime and so with that in mind the 2020's anime won and it isn't ANYWHERE NEAR close.

B. Samurai Champloo. Odd Taxi is a cute anime with a good op, but it cannot compare to Samurai Champloo. Its got Nujabes.

A. Spy x Family. If it was up against Digimon's Butterfly, things would be different.

B. Gurren Lagann. Hard choice since I love Eve, but Sorairo Days is a classic to me.
B. Soul Eater. EASY, Papermoon is STILL fantastic.
A. Classroom of the Elite. I like old Fate but uh, the ops and eds weren't the best even song-wise.

I know people were complaining about the 2000's picks not being great... While some were weak, overall I still enjoyed the ops of the 2000's more lol, so I didn't have as hard a time choosing as I expected.

B is completely underperforming.
We have so many incredibly good anime from the 2000s, why are such nulpes included?
Many openings from category A were really not strong, but the counterpart from category B was simply even worse
I only struggled in the battle paripi koumei vs Elfen Lied
and I would have wished for situations like this to happen more often 😵💫

Am I the only one who thinks Blue Bird is very overrated. If anything I think Blue Bird is a basic song and I don’t think it deserves to be among the greatest OP’s of all time. On the other hand, I don’t think Idol is up there with the best OP’s of all time, but it’s still a great song and I would put it in my top 50 anime OP’s of all time.
