The whole point of the episode is that BOTH of you are correct. Blitz AND Stolas are BOTH miscommunicating here. IMO, Blitz has more to work on for sure but Stolas dismissed Blitz very quickly without giving him time to actually respond for real. Blitz made it clear he didn't know Stolas was actually being serious at first and by the time it really fully clicked for Blitz that Stolas was being completely serious--- Stolas teleported him before he could apologize. Now, Stolas did that because he was hurt --- because Blitz had just yelled at him and demonstrated that he thought very little of him (which isn't exactly true, Blitz defenses were up and he definitely regrets what he said). It's complex, Blitz is definitely not the only one at fault.
Notice Blitzø didn’t start yelling until after Stolas started leaving him like everybody else does. That screaming was Blitzø fighting for Stolas. It’s too bad Stolas only heard the words, and it’s too bad Blitzø’s so good at making things hurt.
Tbf Stolas thought Blitz cared about him when he first snuck into his house after all those years after they met as kids and wanted to believe Blitz was into him and not the book and Blitz played along out of pity when they slept together for the first time
LMFAOOOOO the way you went "I hate musicals" "Naw that's Hazbin, except for Stolas this isn't a musical" and then FRAME ONE SINGING that was so funny omg
People often forget all the r@acial pet names Stolas had given Blitz and how he didn't put much thought or importance into Blitz's job SINCE EPISODE ONE. Blitz was on a mission, his life in danger an Stolas didn't care and just wanted to say his piece. Even after Blitz lost his phone, Stolas didn't notice he wan't on the phone anymore. Later, inthe wrath ring trip episode, at the start, you can see and hear how Stolas acted like he only view's Blitz job as a funny thing his "silly little imp" does on week day but isn't worth much, isn't much impressive or shit. Stolas doesn't value Blitz job as a job but just something so very important for this "cute little imp". I know it is very much because of Stolas education, but he ended up unconsciously treating Blitz like a cute pet doing cute but unimportant things. Moreover, in this episode, Blitz ask for a "fvcking minute" for Stolas to hear him out, to not "dismiss" him like that. Stolas just assumed things Blitz didn't say out loud. I know someone's attitude can be enough to understand what they truly think but we know those two have lived for a long time deceiving themselves in their suffering. But Stolas didn't recognize, couldn't recognize how Blitz wasn't happy about the gift and was more concerned about the part of the deal where Stoas wanted him enough to exchange time with him with the grimoire. But now, without the book, Blitz's extreme insecurity are flaring up, and Stolas couldn't see it. And I want to add that I believe Stolas was raised and educated in the ways of manipulative noble and uncousciously used one of the skills he learned against Blitz by not giving the gift first but asking for the book first. He didn't explain why but just Staight up said that he wanted his book "permanently" and he let Blitz fall into despair, ready to do "anything" for it, before giving the gift. Stolas, unconsciusly put Blitz in an emotional rolercoaster that could have manipulate him into being grateful. Stolas isn't pure or selfless, but that is not his fault. He just need a reality check and I think the trailer showed that he gonna have it worth is money.
This is a cartoon, not all of his actions listed here can be judged as clearly lots of these examples are used as bits to be funny. What is fact though is Stolas plays the game that Blitz set him up to play, Stolas didn't set terms in a sense of a contract, and he certainly didn't see it that way, he was trying to get time with Blitz and every opportunity after that he uses any excuse to spend time in any way with Blitz. Stolas has been ignorant sometimes but he's not remotely malicious or dismissive as he is distracted by trying to learn the best way forward, out of all the characters Stolas grows the most which is why he's likable, he's not remotely a dick, he's a product of his upbringing and now has proven he'd give everything for Blitz.
@danny1ft1 that's the worst part. He isn't malicious but he still end up using tools malicious people use, since he was raised by one. He is a grown adult still stuck in the naivety cage he was raised in. My comment wasn't to blame everything on Stolas but to point out that he is not the innocent victim a lot of the fan want to see him as. Blitz not believing in his feelings is understandable with how their relationship have been so if you want to defend Stolas then don't forget to defend Blitz. Both have messed up their relationship because both had messed up upbringing and past. Long story short, they need to properly talk but the miscommunication trope still exist because we still do it very often IRL. So buckle up buttercup!

I absolutely loved this reaction!! Having someone on opposites sides is what this episodes needs. They both want each other and both have good points, but this is what Blitzø and Stolas need to do, is sit on that couch with all fandom sitting where Rakim is sitting and argue their points out. Communication! Love to see it! I’m on Blitzø side btw, I wanted Stolas to be like ok so now you know how I feel for real I want to know how you feel, not the Stolas that pushed Blitzø away and say I’m done.
I feel like because of how Season 2 has gone so far a lot of people tend to forget that just because WE as the audience know Stolas's feelings and intentions, that doesn't mean that Blitz knows and has seen all that. Their last meaningful interaction was Ozzie's (and we all know how that went). Up until Ozzie's Stolas was still calling Blitz demeaning nicknames that he hated like "impish little plaything" in PUBLIC. Sure Stolas is excited to go on a date with him but he's not paying attention to him at all. Then they both get called out for being together and humiliated and Stolas hides from him in shame so Blitz takes that as his answer for what they are. Stolas realised he messed up and wants to talk about it but doesn't want to force Blitz into a convo so he gives him outs and excuses that Blitz readily takes, probably bc he's still sore about it and still doesn't wanna talk about or confront it. Blitz's business is reliant on his relationship with Stolas so he can't just not respond to him. Stolas realising he messed up and realising Blitz wasn't happy before and that their deal was wrong happened without Blitz's knowledge. So he really had no reason to believe from his perspective that this was anything other than their monthly deal resuming after a long hiatus. Plus the way Stolas dances around his point and making him panic about what was going on was handled poorly on Stolas's part and he didn't allow him a chance to process what was going on, Blitz even says he thinks this is some new roleplay Stolas wants to try so he's CLEARLY not getting it yet. And yes STOLAS made their deal about sex so it's pretty unfair to Blitz to be annoyed with him for making it about sex, bc that's all he's been told/shown their relationship was prior to that. Blitz can't read his mind, so his confession really does come out of no where for him and bc of everything prior to that and his own issues it's a lot for him to process at once, and he isn't given a fair opportunity to think about it on top of that before Stolas dismisses him.
That’s EXACTLY what I was tryna say! He don’t get it! When everyone hates u.. why would anyone love you?.. esp stolas? He uses blitzo for ass! Hahaha that type of mental neeeeeeeds explanation with an hurt and rational mind
Notice Blitzø was genuinely nothing but happy and excited to see Stolas. Even dressing up, just because. That’s not normal. I think it’s because Stolas started giving him a choice about whether or not to honor their contract. That freedom was all Blitzø needed to feel completely comfortable in their relationship and let his natural affection for the bird bubble up past his fear and resentment. If Stolas had saved the big conversation for pillow talk, he might have realized Blitzø loved him just by how attentive he was during the best sex they’d ever had.
I agree because in season 1 stolas seem like he only wanted blitz for (you know) rather than romantic. I get stolas like blitz when he was a kid, but he didn't really show blitz that in season 1.@@Souphover
I Agree with her totally. Remembering when Blitzø tell Fizz when they were kidnapped: oh Stolas call me all the time on the phone to find how my day is, laugh at my jokes, comments on my photos, etc. And Fizz sarcasticlly tells him something like, yes bc that's something that an uninterested person does 🙄. All those moments that Stolas wanted to talk, just like a friend wanting to know his love interest, share time together without the sex. Blitzø didn't see all the signs. He couldn't bc of his traumas. But he is still an idiot. Maybe that Stolas "brake up" the relationship and that toxic cycle with in Blitzø was for the better, Blitzø would learn his patterns bc of the hurt he produces on both and right there will begin his Apology Tour.
@@Souphover ion mind it. Just wish these two would talk properly and air out whatever it is they got going on but that won’t happen until blitzø comes to terms with his own past and can be ok with being loved by someone buuuut, since that’s far too far off it won’t happen for awhile if at all
