But even here, which is a good performance, a more aggressive twangy guitar would be better than some of the noodling going on. I like this version more. In the Paris one the guitar falling after every phrase is precious and distracting, and this one isn’t smiling much. i took a look at the lyrics and don’t understand them, light or dark, other than a personal gesture to sing as a part of the whole
