I do like it. I am a newbe, so I fall in that category. Funny, I took a cartography call years ago. I wish it had stuck. Little did I know that I would be trying to draw maps for my own sailing channel. lol.

@@MathieuDarph Great question. You can draw out shapes directly in the comp panel, and then with the layer selected hit the plus icon in the GEOlayers panel and select make feature from layer. Then you can redraw this shape however you want.
I guess the map projection in Felt matches geolayers? I have about 10 years in GIS. I created a membership in Felt a couple months ago but I somehow didn't catch that export to Geojson tool and some of the premade datasets. That's pretty great. ArcGIS and QGIS do so much for different scenarios that you are right it's hard sometimes to do narrow down to do what you want.

A few things - Set the comp preview to a lower res. Lower the resolution and frame rate in the Preview panel. Purge cache often. Go to the GEOlayers preferences panel and select RENDER ONLY WORKSPACE AREA IN CONTAINING COMP.
