He is and was on point in his message throughout. I fully understand that we need NOT to enforce Christian doctrine into government policies. However, moral law extracted from Christianity remains the hallmark of Western governance. Think of the imprint of the commandments on how our laws are derived. And how the family as described by God/Paul the apostle is the framework of how we live and observe in our American culture.
Therefore, it is always going to be IMPOSSIBLE to 'separate Church from State'. The conservative backlash will always be fierce because progressive ideas continue to force out the traditional and conservative life practices without any resistance.
I DO NOT agree with enforcing Christian doctrine on anyone BUT it is unavoidable due to the war that has been waged on common sense norms that are thrown in the basket at the expense of allowing all ideas to attack Christianity at its core.
