I met Sandahl Bergman about 10 years ago. She said between Piper and Schwarzenegger that she preferred working with Piper as she found him more down to earth.
So I discovered this channel almost simultaneously with the US COVID lockdown here in Chicago and I must say that watching your entire back catalog of Welcome to the Basement and Beer & Board Games have made the living hell that was 2020 far more bearable! I lost friends to COVID, my brother died leaving me & my niece to take care of each other, I lost my car because of not being able to work and I almost lost my sanity for the umpteenth time in my life, ALMOST! No hyperbole when I say that your channel, in conjunction with some others, genuinely alleviated the stress and despair I experienced all year long! I thank you gentlemen with all my heart, please keep the content coming!
I really can not understand how this channel and your show, don't get more views. I've been watching you for years, you two are so funny, thanks to you I was exposed to so many movies I did not know. Your reviews are fascinating and again very funny!
See if this were Emmet Otter's Jug Band Christmas, it'd be "Hell comes to Frogtown Hollow". And now I'm imagining Rowdy Roddy Piper as Emmet Otter and I'm laughing too much, send help please.
So happy WTTB is back! Your show has inspired my sister and I to watch more movies together. We take turns picking a movie, we even keep it secret from each other until the day we watch. Right now the theme of the month is Freaky February, which is my excuse to watch horror movies in February.
I’ve been eagerly awaiting my favorite movie watching duos return! Cheers guys happy new year! Can’t wait for ten more seasons! (Also hearing Matt talk about wrestling is the best)
Vinegar Syndrome put out a beautiful Blu-ray of this that really helped show off the quite good frog costumes and animatronic effects. I agree its a very dumb movie, but it was quite entertaining. The Blu-ray also has some very in depth interviews about the production. Basically, they wanted to do a hell of a lot more, but their budget was slashed at the last minute. Just picked up the 4K version of Do The Right Thing. Never seen it before, so I am very excited!
The screenwriter, the director, or both, somehow got their self-insert erotic fiction made into a movie and got a famous wrestler to play them! The 80s were a strange time. Also I want this season to be reanmed: WTTB Season 10: The Search For the Mcguffin
@BlameSociety - Hello Matt and Craig. Have either of you watched Paul Schrader's 'Mishima: A Life in Four Chapters'? It is a supreme oddity considering it emerged from a major American film studio (Warner Brothers), but is nevertheless fantastic.
Love the fact you ended with "Shut your Hoooooole!" Thanks for continuing to provide insights and entertainment for us, very much appreciated. Keep up the good work.
Even though I watch a lot of bad movies and follow a lot of channels that watch bad movies, I really appreciate Craig's simple assertion that this film is "evil."
When I watched this movie, I was legit disappointed that we didn't get to see the "three snakes". Like, there was SO MUCH build up to it and then just nothing.
Speaking of the first film in a series that won't satisfy you, "The Pink Panther" isn't what you'd expect it to be if you haven't seen it yet. "A Shot in the Dark" is the first that feels like it belongs.
As always glad to have you back guys. If I had any booze in the house I'd raise a toast to the past/future seasons of this super comfy show. Stay safe out there
Welcome back guys! Wow this movie, it's not one I've seen, but a few years back my friend sent me the clip of "The dance of the 3 snakes" and told me that their mom used to love this movie.....I've been curious about it ever since. But now I don't know how to feel, haha!
YAY! Matt and Craig are back! Happy New Year, Gentlemen! I already submitted this movie to you for review via Facebook, but hopefully you will review 1979's The Visitor with John Huston and Shelley Winters. Thanks and stay safe! XOXO
Piper plays a Gandalf-like character in the Mystical Adventures of Billy Owens and in Billy Owens and the Secret of the Runes. He died before they finished the trilogy.
It is so good to have you both back. Here is to a wonderful Season 10! Also, have either of you seen the 1967 film Quatermass and the Pit (aka Five Million Years to Earth). I watched it recently and found it to be a profoundly good sci-fi horror film. Perhaps a perspective Sci-Fi July entry?
God I love this show, so glad it's back. If you haven't seen it, you guys should watch Alita: Battle Angel, or talk about it on seen it if you have seen it already.
I'm like a five year old when watching Death of Stalin. I don't know what it is about that film that has made me watch it every night for over a month.
Call it “Hell Comes to Frogtown”, if you like. But those in the know understand that it really should be re-named.....”Road to Rollergator”. *cue endless acoustic guitar noodling*
My SEEN IT: Have either of you seen the film ‘I See You’ with Helen Hunt & Jon Tenney? At first glance it seems like a generic VOD thriller until the disparate pieces of the puzzle come together in the most shocking & twisted way! It was my 2nd favorite thriller the year it came out after Parasite! Seriously if you haven’t seen it do so WITHOUT watching the trailer or researching anything about the plot. Going in cold makes the twists and turns even more profound, keeping you on the edge of your seat the entire time. I seriously think you guys would appreciate the film! Cheers!
Roddy Piper was a really upstanding guy in his later years. I hate wrestling & only have that opinion because of the podcast appearances he made on the Schmoes Know RUclips channel. He was exceptionally charming and nice. He was also hilariously funny on his few cameo appearances on Its Always Sunny in Philadelphia! His deranged wrestler “Da Maniac” steals the show every time he was on! RIP RODDY! RIP DA MANIAC!
The frog you made! I learned how to make one of those on a field trip when I was in fifth grade. Never lost the frog making skill. I've made it a tradition to make one and give one to a guy I'm interested in to gauge his reaction to decide if I'm still into him. It's a good gauge.
Hey Matt and Craig! Was wondering if either of you saw THE LITTLE THINGS. I've read mixed things about it on the internet, but I personally thought it was good. While it wasn't the movie I thought it would be based on the marketing, I still enjoyed it as a thought provoking crime drama. Also, the opening scene was stressful and well executed!
I was wondering if you two have seen the movie ‘That Evening Sun’. There’s a scene in the movie that may be one of the saddest I have ever seen. It’s just Hal Holbrook’s character making a sandwich, but the sadness and loneliness, helplessness and despair are so palpable. It’s such a heavy scene. RIP Hal Holbrook.
Accidentally lost a like from Matt because I edited my comment, but thanks @Blame Society, you've helped shape my life for a decade. You guys are very important to me!
The most ridiculous mind blowing wreck involving a guy's chastity house arrest belt. This roll of film experienced a unfathomable assault while recording this.
Wait, isn't that "tank" a modified Subaru Brat? A minute later: hey, Vazquez Rocks! I bet the Star Trek TNG cast were just offscreen waiting for their turn to film.
Hmmm. I remember the Bond theme on Dr. No. And absolutely Joseph Wiseman playing Dr. No is a huge YIKES! It's a toss-up which one is more horrible between that and Sean Connery disguising himself as Japanese in You Only Live Twice.
I was disappointed with this film (not the episode). I wanted the film to be crazier than it was. It wasn't the film I was promised in the trailer. Disco Godfather was an entertaining film to watch and laugh at, but the occasional serious moments in Hell Comes To Frogtown I felt conflicted with the prepubescent absurdity of the premise. This film would have been more memorable if it had gone full crazy, because I don't think it could have been fully serious and been successful.
Mad Max: The Toad Warrior!
Season 10! Here’s for 10 more!
Its crazy how I managed to squeeze in almost every season of the show during quarantine! Time flies when you are being entertained! lol
Nice to see a blood and a crip having a truce to watch a movie
I recall seeing this on TV when I was a kid. But just once, I thought it was a fever dream.
Welcome back everybody. Not just Matt, Craig, and Tona, but all my fellow WttB watchers!
I met Sandahl Bergman about 10 years ago. She said between Piper and Schwarzenegger that she preferred working with Piper as she found him more down to earth.

Same here - love these guys!
Season off to a good strat
Bravo! :D
The Bond theme does appear in Dr No. It's used in the opening titles in a medley with Three Blind Mice.
See if this were Emmet Otter's Jug Band Christmas, it'd be "Hell comes to Frogtown Hollow".
And now I'm imagining Rowdy Roddy Piper as Emmet Otter and I'm laughing too much, send help please.
Damn, what a banger of a film. I definitely bought the vinegar syndrome blu ray.
Feels great to have the gang back! Cheers and hopes to great things (and movies) in 2021!
AMEN to that!
Aaah, this show has been missing from my life! Finally back!
So happy WTTB is back! Your show has inspired my sister and I to watch more movies together. We take turns picking a movie, we even keep it secret from each other until the day we watch. Right now the theme of the month is Freaky February, which is my excuse to watch horror movies in February.
Thanks guys, nice to see you back.
a surprisingly good B-movie.
I remember watching this in the theatre. It was like watching "A Boy and His Dog" but without Don Jonson and with frogs. Great Episode! 👍
lol
So happy to have you guys back for another season!
He might not be billed as Rowdy but his character could certainly be described as such.
Glad to have you two (three including Tona) back in my life again! This is my favorite show on the internet.
I’ve been eagerly awaiting my favorite movie watching duos return! Cheers guys happy new year! Can’t wait for ten more seasons! (Also hearing Matt talk about wrestling is the best)
What an insane movie. Love you guys
Seen It: Miracle Mile? If you haven't you should watch it on the show!
Wooo! 10 years!
Vinegar Syndrome put out a beautiful Blu-ray of this that really helped show off the quite good frog costumes and animatronic effects. I agree its a very dumb movie, but it was quite entertaining. I LOVE this movie! Been waiting ages for this one!
Lol the pillow had me laughing for way too long.
Roddy Piper was also in a movie called _Bodyslam_ which was actually about wrestling. With Dirk Benedict. But he was the good-guy in that too.
@BlameSociety - Hello Matt and Craig. Have either of you watched Paul Schrader's 'Mishima: A Life in Four Chapters'? It is a supreme oddity considering it emerged from a major American film studio (Warner Brothers), but is nevertheless fantastic.
Rory Calhoun is, of course, best known for always standing there on his hind legs and walking.
I’m always Rory Calhouning around the neighborhood.
What a movie to start a season with
I have that same bootleg for 15years lol. I love this movie
Great to have you back, whether you're having to carry on with masks or not!
The scene where he fights commander frog is Vasquez rocks. The same location where Kirk fought the Gorn.

Roddy was a great villain in an episode of the 90's show Highlander. Also, I knew you wouldn't like this movie, but I just love it.
My FB comment made the Seen it, made my year!
Lolol man, do you guys really know how to kick off a season. Great episodes fellas!
Welcome back guys! Wow this movie, it's not one I've seen, but a few years back my friend sent me the clip of "The dance of the 3 snakes" and told me that their mom used to love this movie.....I've been curious about it ever since. But now I don't know how to feel, haha!
Great video

Thanks and stay safe! XOXO
Great job on making that frog! I love doing origami. So relaxing.
The Monty Norman Bond theme was in fact present in Dr No
Piper plays a Gandalf-like character in the Mystical Adventures of Billy Owens and in Billy Owens and the Secret of the Runes. He died before they finished the trilogy.
Hey, starting in Hell means you can only improve after that. Here's to another good year!
Yeeeees, life is good
Roddy Piper was also in the Cyndi Lauper music video for Good Enough from The Goonies
new season, and it's my birthday. nice!
I kicked off seen it 2021! Booya

Great, a CBT movie....

Actually, that quite clever.
In the distant, dystopian future of 1996....
Great episode! Scene it: Kung Pow: Enter the First, or Talladega Nights: The Legend of Ricky Bobbie?
Seen it: Hud (1963), Paul Newman runs his town and this movie.
14:15 reminds me of Manos Hands of Fate
Other examples of the S&M Boondoggle include the scene in Return of the Jedi when Leia arrives to Jabba's Palace with Chewbacca
Wow. This is a rare episode where I've never even heard of the movie!
11:52 Welcome back, Welcome To The Basement. Matt: Oh, boy. Toady: You have aroused the three snakes! Craig: Oh no!
I thought I'd imagined this movie existing. Saw it in childhood and was years before I knew the name
Hey Matt and Craig! Was wondering if either of you saw THE LITTLE THINGS. I've read mixed things about it on the internet, but I personally thought it was good. Seen it: Blow the Man Down? A quiet and cold story with some great sea shanties.
I was going to mention a goof with the continuity of Matt's glasses during the movie reveal, but then I saw the mattress scene.
Accidentally lost a like from Matt because I edited my comment, but thanks @Blame Society, you've helped shape my life for a decade. You guys are very important to me!
"They Live" with Roddy would have been a good one to review.
A Boy and his Dog meets The Teenaged Mutant Ninja Turtles.
How do you guys not know (or have acquaintance with) Red Letter? Y'all're practically neighbors.
The most ridiculous mind blowing wreck involving a guy's chastity house arrest belt. This roll of film experienced a unfathomable assault while recording this.
The wanted posters for Sam show him with a sword, I think they confiscate it from him and he gets it back in the van.
I'd love to have a toadtank.
Oh god, I tried watching this with my dad and brother and we had to turn it off because of how bad it was.
This film was very silly - but I was happy to see Sandhal Bergman from Conan in a leading roll :-D
You guys got referenced on Redlettermedia. BlameSociety on Best of the Worst when?
Was the reference about chad Vader? I kind of remember it
Wait, isn't that "tank" a modified Subaru Brat?
A minute later: hey, Vazquez Rocks! I bet the Star Trek TNG cast were just offscreen waiting for their turn to film.
He's really not very rowdy in this.
An exploding codpiece can dampen anyone's rowdiness.
Hmmm. I remember the Bond theme on Dr. No. And absolutely Joseph Wiseman playing Dr. No is a huge YIKES! It's a toss-up which one is more horrible between that and Sean Connery disguising himself as Japanese in You Only Live Twice.
18:24 Jimmy Carter happened.
I finally found the analogy I was searching for. This movie is like if Children of Men was written by skinheads.
I appreciate the twelve minutes and three seconds it took Matt to say "penis"
If you think Frogtown's bad, don't watch Rollergator.
Does the guy from this movie BECOME Immorten Joe?
lol matts mask is upside down
This was seriously the first movie I watched during quarantine. It was a blast
The first one I watched was Shawshank Redemption.
@@blamesocietyfilms getting busy movie watching or get busy dying

Frog people bah bah bah Cat people bah bah bah
Hey, I've seen this movie! So few of the movies on this series are ones I've seen. Why in gods' names is THIS one of them? Ha!!
**This is an x- rated show** LMAO
