Ambrosia, Hall and Oates, Player, 10CC all underrated. But that was singing and no computers. Real music.
Hall and Oates had 6 number 1 hits and are Billboard's top duo of all time... That is not underrated. (saying that in the nicest way - no offense intended)
So many lost classics from back then. Example: Sanford Townsend Band - Smoke From a Distant Fire
and actual instruments.
I doubt you could call 10cc 'underrated'!
They had a hugely successful career in the 70's&80's, ok, maybe not in the USA, but the world's a bloody big place to be successful in, & they most definitely were!!
Btw, who's Ambrosia? (Big in the USA, & nowhere else?!?!)
Another great song from Ambrosia is "I Keep Holding on to yesterday "
Ambrosia was criminaly underrated at the time. They are all over my streaming playlists....
I keep saying it man, the 70's had it all! Ambrosia was amazing.
Even the light rock / yacht rock of the '70s shows far more musicianship and skill than most music you'll find today. Just another reason it's the best era of music.
This song is perfection!
OMG! This is absolutely one of my all time favorite songs. I’ve listened to this for 40 years and I never get tired of it. The vocals, the tone everything
love when young people appreciate the greatest music of all 60s 70s and some 80s
How anyone could give a thumbs down on this is a puzzle to me. What is the thumbs down for? The song? Your reaction? Either way, it’s very disrespectful. You always give an insightful and honest reaction, even if it’s a song that I like and you weren’t crazy about. We all appreciate your honesty. I would never give you or your channel a thumbs down.
David Pack's falsettos are so clear.
Bruh. This is my first time watching your video. I am extremely impressed,
I am 50 years old, and I remember the very first time that I heard this song. I was about 9 years old and I was taking a car ride with my parents and this song came on the radio. My father (Rest In Peace) looked at my mother, she looked at him, and 9 months later I had a little brother.... LOL. This is a true story. Thanks for bringing back the memories. You have a fan.
This band is far greater than the "soft rock" or "easy Listening" labels it gets. Great song craft, excellent musicianship, and stellar vocals.
this song was magnificently produced. The lyrics beautifully written. The twist with this song is how the background vocals drives the lead vocals with a response. Not conventional writing. Most songs the background vocals responds to the lead singer.
This is great. I love anything AMBROSIA
Music is what brings us all together!!!! Love your channel!!!!!
I was 17 when this song was released and inmediately became one of my favorite song ever. I was not from reality cause this one is considered the best music production of all time. This is a perfect song. The instrumentation is in the right place. The lead singer with his falseto was fenomenal. The voices blended together and with the sax and the keyboards. Every solo was right in its place. The beat keep a perfect tempo. And the beautiful lyrics. When you combine all this stuff you finally obtained the perfect song. There has been 40 years now and it seems this is a new song.
This 62 yr old Auntie says your are so right. Once the 8 track tapes were invented we could play our favorite groups. Many babies were made to this music. Most guys had their make out music ready. A huge cassette but we thought we were so cool. So much variety in the 1970s. ❤✌
There is no better feel good song. I was 7 years old when this came out and it was always on the radio in the car. Good nostalgic vibes man. So good!
Finally someone does a reaction to this song. Great vocals, smooth transitions great instrumentation. Love the bass line.
I keep holding on to yesterday, great song 🎶🔥❤️
Youll love this song you need to see the live video. Its amazing.
You need to react to EXILE the song is KISS YOU ALL OVER The midnight special version
Yes!!
I wish every one would wait to react the way you do.
The 80s. They were such a part of that great time thanks for this.
Beautiful music 😃
I really loved watching you listening to this! Loved how much you were into & enjoying the hell out it!! Beautiful wasn't it! Love this band & love this song!! Dig how much you enjoy the music from my time...the 70s & 80s...it really was the best of times all the way around!!!
David Pack's voice is so perfect
Love this song.... i was 10 yrs old when it came out. Good times back then.
That SUPER 70S SOUND that will live forever!
This might be one of those songs where they got together and made a commitment to not leave the studio until they get it right. And it shows. After hearing this song, the bridge is my favorite part of the song. Thanks for sharing.
"Young soul with an old mindset."
I like that.
This is why I sub.
My man, listen to some GINO VANNELLI.
That's for sure, pure sexy
Oh STOP bringing up Gino Vannelli... let me live inside myself
He has a live version of his song “Brother to Brother” from 2015 LA concert and damn, he still sounds amazing!
Yes!!!!! Gino Vanelli please!!!
Yes. GV.😍
Atlanta Rhythm Section...”So Into You”...”Imaginary Lover”....”Spooky”
You’re welcome.
Hey another Band u can check out is 10cc - I’m not in Love and The Things We Do For Love
Yes, and also Firefall and most especially Paul Davis!!! Sample some of his baby making tunes.
Classic Yacht Rock. Lots of smooth R&B. I think they were inspired by Earth Wind and Fire. Give a listen to EWF’s “ That’s the Way of the World” to hear what I’m talking about.
and let's no forget EW&F's best baby making song, Pacifier :-)
A truly great track. So soulful. And those harmonies are top notch
We used to call this "baby makin' music".
It is great love-making music What a groovy song
Now your talking. One of my favorite groups. I listen to them all the time. How Much I Feel and Your The Only Woman are awesome songs.
I love this song So much! Memories! My gosh! Going to the drive-in and listening to Ambrosia! Forget the movie! Miss that so much! We had a radio channel called pillow talk in the 80's, a station broadcast from detroit! It was on late at night (pillow talk duh)! and me and my guy would listen to that for hours all the love songs that we loved, til I had to go home so my parents wouldn't freak! Well what they didn't know didn't hurt them! Haha! Love your channel so much ! Keep up the great work!
I used to listen to that from Windsor back then!
Love this Song!! Brings back some good memories ❤️
Have you done player " baby come back " brilliant track ❤️
Another great song by Ambrosia is Holding On To Yesterday. You should check it out.
Do you think he's ready for Jethro Tull
That's ambrosias best song a masterpiece
Harold Melvin and the blue notes.. have you seen her. I think it was them. Your still a young man. Both classics.
Both great songs, but the first one was done by 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐂𝐡𝐢-𝐋𝐢𝐭𝐞𝐬 and the other one was performed by Tower of Power.
No way this song is 40 years old I was 14 when I got this Album for X-Mas🌲❤
Check out some of the other Ambrosia tunes: Holdin' On To Yesterday, How Much I Feel, You're The Only Woman, & Heart and Soul (I Just Can't Let Go) which features Michael McDonald and James Ingram on background vocals.
The album One Eighty released in 1980 featured Biggest Part Of Me and You're The Only Woman was one of the best albums that year. From the first song Ready to the last song Biggest Part Of Me, One Eighty is a complete home run! The talent in this band is ridiculous! Great reaction Sir! Peace.
Omg this is 40 years old, oh man I feel old 😮 I was 17 when it came out, geez time sure flies, sigh...
I love the analogy you used, comparing human-made music using unaltered voices and actual musical instruments, versus machine-made music using autotune and digital technology. observing that the first type speaks to our hearts and souls, but the second type is soulless. That kind of music can be fun and interesting, so it has its place, but it just can't touch you in the same way that "real" music can.
You can apply the same analogy to other things: food is one that I relate to, as I'm a cook and baker. Handmade food made with quality ingredients that our great-grandparents would have recognized and used can satisfy -- and yes, even move you in a way that fast/easy/convenient "Franken-food" laden with unpronounceable chemicals meant to boost flavor, prolong shelf-life, adjust texture, etc could never do. It's also a lot like human beauty: a person who uses a lot of makeup, extensions, lip filler, botox, fake nails, etc may be attractive in a certain way, but will never be on the same level as someone who lets their natural beauty show through minimal make-up and a kind, loving and warm spirit. Sorry... your analogy got me thinking deeply...
This song is my jam!!! Sooooo great. As you said this is it. 👌🏼👌🏼
Check out Gary wright DREAM WEAVER. and Gerry Rafferty BAKER STREET
So, so good... ❤️
Fantastic song!!! Another Favorite floor me
Ojalá regresara este tipo de música, con sentido y armonía un deleite para los oídos. Ambrosia de los grandes en los 70s, esta rolita una verdadera Joya ❤❤❤❤❤
One of the smoothest bands ever , very consistent with No bad songs 👍
A outstanding song and performance led by the wonderful voice of David Pack. Recently, I picked up a cd spearheaded by David Pack that may interest musical fans. It offers the songs from West Side Story by Pack and a assembly of quality singers. 'Maria' with Pack, Michael McDonald James Ingram is very special as we might expect when 3 singers of caliber align.
RIP James Ingram :-(
@@dunhill1 Yes, James Ingram was awesome. Not many were in his league.
Great bass line. Great song.
I'm glad you reacted to this, they sound just like this live for real. Many great songs by them: You're the only woman, That's how much I feel, etc. Another band who blew me away through the years with great songs is Firefall. Much love.
Hell yeah man this is one of my favorite songs and bands of all time. This is music recorded to perfection in my humble opinion
ONe of my all time favorite love songs!
Great song my pops played these guys all the time to
This song was a great vibe today. Old favorite.
Try foreigner " I want to know what love is " brilliant voice ❤️
You're so right, the music did the talking!!
This Is Timeless
Wedding song marriage number one, 1980. Marriage didn't last , love for this song has.
Another great song from the era is How Bout Us by Champaign, nice tune. Check it out.

Really good one from a fantastic band though their best songs are for the most part lesser known like these mind blowing ones,Nice Nice Very Nice,Holdin’ On To Yesterday,Drink ofWTer,And Somewhere I never Traveled!👍🏻❤️☮️🎤🎼
I wanna dance with my Husband at our wedding with this song❤
I think you need to listen to "Let's Get It On" by Marvin Gaye
agreed. then anything by Al Green.
Barry White level Baby making smoothness. LOL
this is it !
thank you.
I think you would like Paul Davis, "I Go Crazy"
ruclips.net/video/nhu3orNqZu4/видео.html
That tune is Doobie Brothers, Steely Dan, Boz Skaggs, Hall & Oates rolled into one!!
This was a Beautifully sung song, and it got good air play on the radio. I don’t know anyone that has heard this song and didn’t like it. It’s a classic. Reaction suggestion: Steely Dan- Peg, or Reelin’ in the Years. Both very different feels, and both incredible vocals and instrumental syncopation.
Keep it going Holding on to Yesterday
All their songs are bangers! React to another slow groove called Spooky from the Classics IV. Same 70s era. Keep great music alive ✌️
If you were on a date and you went to a place where there was a jukebox, you could play this song and set the tone for the rest of the evening.
You should check out Pablo Cruz! Great group from 70/80 era. Very smooth! Especially their song Cool kind of Love.
they got a few great songs couple different styles, as always I cherry picked a few others for ya

I haven't heard this song for awhile. I didn't realize it was from 1980.
They got that organ coming in strong at the end and I thought you were gonna lose it Chod :) Next up go with Player "Baby Come Back"
I love your channel✌❤
Check out the song 'Baby Come Back' by the Group , Player and the song 'Woman In Live' by the Legendary Barbra Streisand❤❤❤❤❤✌Please check out Stevie Wonder singing 'Overjoyed' Stevie is sublime❤
Foundations: "Baby, Now That I've Found You"
Go see my other comment, under the "How Much I Feel" video.
Yeah. Ambrosia is no joke!
...However (and AS GREAT as these smooth-ass hits were!) this band, actually has a GOOD deal more latitude (and they ARE, all, STELLAR musicians -who happens to have great voices -all 4 of 'em!- and create and sing superb harmony parts! 🤘🤘💜🤘⚡)!!
Check out: the one big hit that you haven't done, yet:
"You're The Only Woman" (from this same album: One-Eighty)
Then, go check out the early, "prog.-rock" sound of this band, on:
"Nice, Nice, Very Nice"
(based on Kurt Vonnegut, Jr.'s Cat's Cradle novel -and employing some of his writing -He gets a writing credit on the song! 😁
[The only band I know to beat B.Ö.C. to the punch. -Before they wrote their 3 songs with Michael Moorcock (That was, actual, co-writing, though!)! 😁👍)] )
and
"Holding On To Yesterday"
Then, go listen to the follow-up to this LP
[Road Island]
the opening cut, entitled:
"For Openers (Welcome Home)"
[...You will be shocked. I can almost promise! 🤘🤘 🧡🧡]
David Pack, Joe Puerta, Burleigh Drummond (GREAT drummer!) and Christopher North. No laughing matter, ever! 🤘🤘
FIRE!
please please PLEASE go to the early Ambrosia tracks.. Their first two albums were engineered and produced by Alan Parsons... Time Waits For No One...Mama Frog..Nice,Nice Very Nice..Somewhere I've Never Travelled
god is in that
🎸🎺 😁👍
The group's name is pronounced am - browh -zhuh. Great classic song.
just like the salad, Ambrosia Salad. :-)
React to TUSK - The Chain ( Worlds # 1 tribute to Fleetwood Mac )
great songs, but not baby making songs in likes of Ambrosia.
❤️❤️❤️
I was born an old soul✌❤
You must delve into Ambrosia.Take your pick.
I'm an old soul myself❤
Ambrosia salad was a popular desert in the 70s - did he look down at his dessert to come up with the name of the band? haha j/k
