I Fixed the Ninjago Crystal King Temple by Combining 3 Sets!

- In this video I am fixing the LEGO Ninjago Crystal King Temple, because I was disappointed by the original version. To do so, I combined 3 copies of 71771 Crystal King Temple. I tried to stay true to LEGO's regular design principles, while also adding in my own new ideas! I hope you enjoy!
Giveaway details:
What if the Overlord WASN'T the Crystal King? What if, instead, it was an all-new character buying all of this Vengestone? Create a custom minifigure and write their backstory, and motivation!
Rules:
-You must be subscribed to the Bricks By Mind RUclips channel and follow @bricks.by.mind on Instagram
-Post your minifigure and character description on Instagram to the hashtag "BricksByMindCrystalKingTempleContest". DM entries will NOT be accepted.
-Bonus points if you do cool photography with your minifigure! However, this contest is being mainly judged on the creativity of the character and of the backstory.
-Custom minifigures must ONLY use official LEGO parts (no custom prints/decals) and cannot use any parts from the official Crystal King minifigure
-Contest will conclude in 2 weeks from this video's publishing date, and winners will be announced shortly after
-First, second, and third place which recieve a copy of 71771 Crystal King Temple.
-Anyone can enter, but for winners to recieve their prize, I will need a shipping address from someone 18 or older. This can be the entrant themselves, or a parent/guardian.
-Prizes can only be sent to countries that have their own LEGO Shop@Home. Additionally, prizes CANNOT be sent to the following places:
* PO BOX Addresses
* Mainland China Addresses
* Russian or Ukrainian Addresses
-If one of the top three winners cannot recieve their prize, prizes will be sent to 4th place, etc. First place will still be featured on my Instagram page.
-If you are one of the winners, 71771 MUST be in stock at your local Shop@Home at the time of the contest concluding to be able to recieve it. If it is not, the prize will be substituted with another LEGO set of equal or lesser value. We will discuss which set this will be via DM in the event that this occurs.

After reviewing this video a couple times I am 90% sure that it is the black technic connector (the one the technic pins can go into) that helps hold up the first platform for the sword of fire. The piece number (exact color in mind) is 6173119, and the design number (the one that all pieces of that design, so not including color) is 29219

@@BricksByMind Great, I looked and looked, I thought the hat at first, then the red "1x1 with an indented stud on one side" but I looked at the instructions, and the piece lists in the back and finally got it. Thanks for adding that challange

I think the bull face fits really good, not just because it looks good, but also in season 8 sons of garmadon when Lloyd and Harumi visit this temple on the walls in the background, which are telling the story of the Oni there are giant like creatures with bull like heads.

After reconstructing it myself, there's only 2 parts I saw that weren't simple common sense. 1: the angle of the Altar for the Nunchucks of Lightning. (I pulled a part from what I already had for it) And 2: there's some bricks hidden in the rocks under the main temple to support the technic stuff

@@midorinoakuma1328 don't have the video editing skills. But using this video as a visual guide can get you a lot of the way. From there, the instructions for the official set can cover most of the gaps. Leaving just the supports for the technic bricks under the main temple and the structure of the rock climbing wall as stuff I had to improvise on

This one is better. I wish Lego made the Crystal king temple like this. I have the original one and it is also cool, but is bit small. You really outdone yourself on this build. Awesome build
As someone who builds mocs, I am impressed with the overall design and how it looks like a major improvement in almost every way.

I think the additional piece is the kinda octagon thing used as a base for the lead into the 4 puzzles. Or my eyes are deceiving me since I don’t own the temple yet. I appreciate how much of an advantage you take from Lan in making cool builds or making your own things based upon them promoting them in a way I don’t see much from other lego media stuff. Nicely edited though I would use more music then the few I heard. Great video over all

This is actually my favourite season, I love all the details, the crystals and pretty much everything.
My idea for the patience test might be hard to do, but maybe make the shrine a floating island like it is now, but make the platform to get there spin around it? Maybe with some technic pieces you could have a handle you can spin in the back to make the tiny island spin around the shrine. It represents patience well I think.
conveniently I did infact get 3 copies of the crystal king temple and 1 of the crystal king for christmas! I would love if you could make some free or purchasable online instructions so I could build this myself. Nice job with the MOC!

Ice in itself is balance as well. It is stunning., I love each trial to get to a Golden Weapon and the room for the Council is well done too.
I wish I had extra money to make this. That's such an awesome set!

Ok so this is my figure (I've already made a custom Minifigure already), purple oni mask, 2 big horns, the regular crystallized body and legs of the council from the sets, the crystal armour piece with crystal shards as wings, and it's gonna be a new character, Rumers in there. She's collecting the vengestone to create a massive vehicle 2x the size of the land bounty to destroy Ninjago from the underneath.

I feel a bit disappointed that we weren't able to get instructions. I understand bricks didn't intend to make instructions and didn't think everyone would want it, but I think that instead of not replying to anyone, maybe he could say if he didn't want to make a set, he could have just said it at a text, or even try and redo this awesome MOC and make instructions for us, but with a price. Since Brick Legends actually makes MOCS with instructions. NOW HOLD ON, no hate on Bricks by mind. This must have been insane to make and I understood if he forgot to make instructions or just didn't. But I think that maybe bricks should at least say to us, the community if he will or will not make instructions.
I’ve responded to a few other comments about instruction - there’s just a lot on this video, I haven’t been able to get to them all.
No, I have no plans to release instructions. I’ve never made custom instructions before so I’m not sure what all goes into it, but I didn’t have them in mind when building this. The video is more to show off what I made, and inspire other people’s builds
