It seems you need to cut off the section of the plastic barrel equivalent to the metal one, then glue the remaining plastic barrel part to the metal one. But still, I am not too sure for which it is for because there are two gun variants, the L/43 and the L/48, and there is only one metal barrel. The L/48 would be obviously longer
Well, gluing plastic to metal would be fun... :)

Могу сразу сказать, что у данной модели, не смотря на видимое качество, есть ряд недостатков:
1. В инструкции не указывается расположение фототравлёных зажимов (детали на секции травления "А"). На фотографиях определить где они находятся, возможным не представляется. Так же есть нарекания вообще по поводу организации инструкции.
2. Пластиковое орудие в казённой части длиннее на миллиметра 1,5...2, из-за чего оно не устанавливается в люльку заподлицо с маской пушки. В данном случае, её необходимо обрезать.
3. Серьёзно видны следы от стыков пресс-форм практически на всех деталях. Особенно на деталях ходовой части. Качественно удалять данные следы довольно сложно.
4. Для него нет никакого интерьера, даже в отдельном наборе. Отработано только орудие, и грубо внутренние стороны боковых люков башни.
5. Ну и в завершение - за 2500 рублей можно было бы сделать траки наборные целиком, а не полунаборные. (Цена - по состоянию на январь 2020 года).
В общем, конечно, модель очень даже неплохая. Хотя вышеуказанные "косяки" впечатление подпортили.
Ну по поводу интерьера и за 2500 руб...не знаю...не знаю...
В плане траков - не вижу проблемы, так как такой дизайн гораздо проще и быстрее собрать.
А что касается инструкции - так это сейчас часто у кого встречается, если вы понимаете о чём я :)

I'm spoiled, unless it has the full interior {Takom} I won't waste my time. It is a good looking kit, plenty of exterior details, nice assembly instructions and PE. BUT NO INTERIOR! It's like issuing a 1/32nd scale aircraft kit without a full motor, OR my other pet peeve, 2 piece tires! Since though , this is the initial kit, maybe later kits will offer full interior. Who knows, maybe they decided to keep it for the next release indeed :)
