gives me chills everytime...great musicians... Mr Peterson I got one of your first records, you were five years old playing the organ blues already and singing your heart out. Love
Wow! We go back along way bro. Some 30 plus years and you continue to amaze me with your guitar playing man. Keep doing what you are doing bro, that's making people happy with the sound you put out. Love you JB
Hi lucky, is it cus you is black ? Yep, fraid so, .......... cus white folk just don't sound like that, some do but very few. And if I could sound like that then hell ......... paint me any colour.
Michael Mendillo I don't take this song as being racist or seeking pity. he says something is holding him back and the question is "is it because I'm black". not because I'm black. basically what I took from it is don't let that question poison and cripple you. it's easy to fall into that kind of trap.
Song isn't racist at all---it's a valid question, one I ask in the third person all the time: "Is it because they're black?" Most of the time, the answer is "yes." The conditions black people face every day are worse than the conditions faced by any other group. You can't name a time in this country's history that black people got an even break. I'm not asking you for examples---there aren't any.
Rest in peace, Lucky was truly one of the greats!
