Welcome to my channel, I am Jeff, and this is my channel where I discuss my music loves. I have a fairly wide music genre pallet, I do mainly spend much of the time in the rock, hard rock, and melodic metal realms. You will still find me delving occasionally in classic rock, progressive rock, psychedelic rock, and contemporary jazz. While most of my material here deals with vinyl records, I do have a large compact disc collection, and I even show a bit of my real band stuff from my life as a cover band drummer. The focus is on the music and the artists. Please be kind and keep it cordial in the comments section. Remember, music is very subjective, and we all have differing opinions - accept those differences.

Those are some great April Wine finds! I never see those either. Even if that debut’s cover gives me the heebie-jeebies. 😂

Trimming down is very respectful at this time of year pools open , vacations starting up . very considerate..
Antique stores are stores that sell high qualty but older albums thrift stores are for people who don't have alot of money and the quality is scratched
example antique store would be like a 1957 Frank Robinson a 1962 Roger Maris thrift store would be like a 1983 Rickey Henderson with creases
1982 Paul Molitor same with creases.?
nice April Wine , The April Wine live album looks very summery?

Sometimes you can stumble upon some decent stuff, but yeah, in general, not a lot of quality tends to be found.

Looks a Canadian must have unloaded his collection - April Wine, Saga and you mentioned Prism are all great Canadian bands. If you like those I recommend you try Harlequin, Queen City Kids, Headpins and Toronto. Class rock for sure!

You know, I never gave thought to the amount of Canadian bands I mentioned. haha - Headpins I do already own most of their stuff, but not familiar with the other bands mentioned.

@@JeffMcCormack777 If you like Headpins then you will like Toronto for sure. Harlequin and Queen City Kids are good rock. Prism is a softer rock but still good. Also I didn't mention Nazareth, they are good as well. Have a great day!

There are around 8 thrift stores all within 30 seconds 20 minutes from my house and some I go to regularly and a a couple of local record stores that sell both new and used albums. On occasion I do find a good to decent album. The past couple of years I found Bon Jovi, Extreme and Daniel Band albums. We have a law in Canada that 30% of what is broadcasted has to be Canadian content. I don't agree with that. On the radio every 3rd or 4th song is a Canadian artist. Some I don't care for and some I like. Guaranteed you will hear Neil Young, Guess Who, BTO, Trooper, Prism, Rush, April Wine, Helix, Triumph, Tragically Hip, Bryan Adams, Loverboy, Honey Moon Suite, etc on Classic Rock Radio. Being from Canada I take these artists for granted where it's played and promoted heavily so often on the radio and local concerts. I think Americans and people from other countries appreciate these artist more, not sure. I wish there were more Canadian based Classic Christian Rock/Hard Rock/Metal bands similar to Daniel Band, Siloam and Angelica. There might be more that I'm not aware of.

That is an interesting broadcast law. I've never even given thought to the idea that some countries may do that. I kind of wonder now if such a guidelines ever existed in the US in any realm of music where maybe non-US bands dominated the playlists or anything.

Hey Jeff , cool finds except that Saga 😅 lol, but that my tastes. Those April Wine’s are actually great finds. Their lps from mid 80’s onwards are difficult to find at least on vinyl, even cd too. From the early 80’s on the quality is kinda weak and very few pressed. I think the last great effort was Nature of the Beast in 81’. They did manage to pop out albums here and there until around 2002ish but no real keepers. I’m Canadian and used to buy everything they did as a teen thru the 70’s and still own them, some kinda rare now. Early works are best. 😊. Not sure of where u live but up here that debut album is super elusive. The El Moncombo is from when they backed up the Stones. It’s their set from that now iconic gig. Your thinking of All the Worlds a Stage. Oops 😬 no that’s Rush, you’re thinking of The Whole World’s gone Crazy. 🤪

Yes, the Whole World's Gone Crazy was the one escaping my mind. That one, Electric Jewels, and On Record are only missing ones from the early years. And then looking into late 80s, One for the Road, and Attitude are on vinyl, so maybe one day I'll snag one of those.

That Saga record might be the worst album cover I’ve ever seen.

Ha ha - yeah, especially in light of their other albums - it stands out like a sore thumb.
