Suppose if I am having a configurable product. Say a part number 12345V000 is its name. In that product, I have component p, q and r. But, at not all conditions they might appear in the product. For eg, if my load size is 10mm then p might come and if its 20mm q might come and etc.. as of now, i am using a local parameter to control its condition so that if i say yes or no to super bom import, i can get all the BOM items to PDM. Without using a separate variable, how can we import super BOM of a product when we cant configure all of the items in a single structure?
It sounds like you should be using Options Modeler in Creo and/or Options & Variants on the Windchill side. I have a video coming out tomorrow on generating product variants using Options Modeler.
Thank you so much for the detailed video. You have described the pointers so nicely that anyone without experience also can understand.

the fBOM would be more suitable, but I get why we don't use it :D
