[Hololive] Fubuki asks viewers to stop calling her a cat excessively
HTML-код
- Опубликовано: 30 ноя 2024
- Fubuki is announcing that she'd like fans to stop calling her a cat or making jokes about it excessively.
There's no need to go too far, everyone. Let's respect her wishes and keep the "猫やんけ! / You're a cat" jokes only to when it's appropriate (when she goes full cat mode and NYAs).
Thanks to Conspite, Rast, kuro-pi, fts, @jinteramachi, @DarkHorse0, and Lance for the QC.
In the original stream it was purely in pitch black so after a kind suggestion from Jin, I added a backdrop and also Foob art.
Fubuki Art used in the video is drawn by the amazing Nuko Milk-san (ぬこみるく)!

Shirakami Fubuki is from hololive Gen 1 and also GAMERS. She's an arctic fox (not a cat!) who is legendary for her meme videos (Scatman) and an all around big hearted adorable fox who cares very much for her peers, often times at the expense of herself. When she isn't busy caring for her peers, doing some meme video, or streaming, you're likely going to find Fubuki unloading machine-gun fire level tweets on her own Twitter, or going in hard for gacha games for her fave characters.
#ShirakamiFubuki #hololive #VTubers
Even the way she went about it was so nice T_T. We don't deserve her
I was on that stream.
Man, her voiced sounded so sad, didn't contain her usual energy.
If the joke is hurting the person in question, then it's a sign to stop.
And with that said, let's continue appreciating our fox friend :)
Des P, you are a true hero.
Thank you for the translation during Fubuki's stream.
I’m glad she spoke up about it. Communication is important since the audience won’t know unless the streamer says something
We've officially gone too far if she has to say all this
"𝑨𝒓𝒆 𝒘𝒆 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒃𝒂𝒅𝒅𝒊𝒆𝒔?"
EN viewers in a nutshell... Cat, Pettan, TMT, Gorilla... they just cant stop.
@@th3TwistedLight Always have been.
But seriously, we did take it too far. Even if I've never directly told her in chat or in comment, I still feel guilty for it.
I'm not surprised in the slightest. Meme culture always goes too far, especially if those being memed embrace it.
@Basilisk because in general, EN viewers are the ones who use Reddit.
Reddit poisons every fandom with repetitive jokes because they love circle jerking the things they made up, to say "look! The Reddit thing was mentioned by the person! Say it more!".
And then people figure out what gives the most updoots, which gives them even more of a hard-on, and they just keep churning out the same shit.
Hence every post including how rushia is flat, every form of graph or list including Kiara at the bottom left, everything mentioning ame includes something about someone's mother and ground pounding.
They don't mention the talents that don't have some kind of replayable joke, like Ina (other than, you guessed it, her being flat).
Fuck man, Reddit just ruins shit by making it unfunny.
Every meme eventually gets run into the ground.
The fact that people even have to be told to find new memes instead of constantly holding on to the same one is ridiculous.....
WHILE WERE AT IT STOP CALLING SORA GODDESS SHES ASKED MULTIPLE TIMES
I used to work at a wild animal rehabilitation center, and knew several foxes that were staying there. As someone who had foxes as friends, I can tell you that Fubuki absolutely reminds me of them. They wouldn't like being called cats either. They're foxes! Please respect our fox friends.
I remember seeing you do the live TL of this in the stream... It hurts to see Friend like this...
Thank you for translating this request from Fubuki.
I sure hope this reaches people that actually need to hear it.
When it comes to out of topic discussion, it really is not about the jokes, it's about the spam. It's not like she's bothered with the joke itself, it's the one liner spam that always present in the chat. It is appropriate only when the topic/context actually matches with the jokes. This actually covers more of the spam problem and this can also be said to any other out of topic discussion
Never knew that our dear Friend was bothered by this so much and was quite surprised to hear it live in the ASMR stream myself (I arrived late, but managed to hear some last bits when I managed to hear her sniff a bit). I had a feeling that she's getting a bit annoyed by the jokes being used all the time, but never knew that it bothered her this much.
I've personally restrained myself from doing the "Fubuki is a cat" joke as much as possible, as I do feel that it's getting a bit overused. I'll admit that even I still did crack those cat jokes inappropriately sometimes on the Hololive Reddit conversations due it seemingly being the universally accepted lighthearted joke by a lot of people. But hearing this announcement, I can't help but feel guilty for also somewhat participated in this trend which annoys Fubuki greatly as well.
Guess with this announcement it's time to officially reduce inappropriate "Cat jokes" for good, for Fubuki's sake. The last thing I want is to have Fubuki getting disheartened by us, her Fans and Friends. After all just like irl friends, we don't want to create awkward situations for anyone as much as possible.
EDIT: Also forgot to say, Thank you for clipping and translating this part of the ASMR stream, Des P! This'll help to spread Fubuki's request faster so hopefully her annoyance of this 'cat joke' trend can be quelled rather quickly too
Mostly jp viewers that can draw her fan art since she always replied in twitter then they going to tell her "Your a cat right?" Well, it should be applied to us if we can understand her or if she can understand us hahaha
But good thing is translator clippers exist to tell us to be careful next time
@James Neutron @@Honksy Agreed with both of you. I think the best we can do is just to just help spread Fubuki's announcement and try to warn people (within reasonable manner and without being too mean of course) about over-using the jokes. It's quite hard because of the large size of the community but it's the best thing we can do I believe.
@@super_ssg2099 don't worry about that fb holo fan page already doing that, that was the reason i got here and hoping for reddit ppl will do the same since reddit is have an official holo reddit server manage by k chan i think
Agreed the joke has basically been used to the point of it being way past a dead joke imo
Like she said in the video, it's more about having the joke being said inappropriate at time than the joke itself that seems to annoy her.
I too can find the joke sometimes funny, but it's true that having 1 joke being overused no matter what you're doing is pretty annoying, but if it's a good meme made about that joke, I don't think there's any problem
You heard her fellow friends. Time to tone down the cat jokes
Thanks to you, I understood this PSA live. A second thanks for putting this into a clipped video for people who missed this stream or didn't see your live translations. I'm not a huge fan of the cat joke anyways, but I really hope people see this and decide to respect Fubuki's wishes. I can see where trying to be serious and just getting flooded with cat jokes would be frustrating.
Edit: Watched the whole clip and turns out the scope is broader than I thought, so I'm really glad you did a full translation. In general, Fubuki is frustrated at excessive cat-jokes being made at times when they're not relevant to what is happening on stream. They make it hard for her to interact with viewers and have fun. Since I'm not much of a fan of the cat joke anyways, it's pretty easy for me to just not do it. I'll reiterate that I really hope people who are a fan of the joke keep what Fubuki expressed here in mind.
I think what feels really bad is that she feels she has to say sorry for asking us to stop doing something that is annoying her. I know most of us have made the cat joke here or there, probably once at least. I will just stop saying it completely since I'm sure some people won't see this clip or will choose to ignore her request. Thanks for getting the message out to us, I really appreciate being made aware of this!
Tl;Dw: read the room. Sometime certain jokes are inappropriate
Don't mind me, just commenting for the algorithm
Edit: I came up with an actual comment
Most of the jokes we repeatedly use are trash anyways, spamming them on anything makes it worse. So don't.
thank you for the translation
It's ironic that people are still using cat jokes to this day after she said that.
But, i guess it died down than before.
Honestly I think this is true not just of Fubuki but of all the memes of all the Hololive talents. The "jokes" really get run into the ground and over-used to the point that they stop being funny.
I hope everyone slowly and gradually reduce the intensity of the overused joke.
I did try to tease her about FubuCat during the bandwagon euphoria sparingly, but seeing this gave me second thought. And think about when is the appropriate moment to launch the joke. I don't know if she dismay the Friend jokes too.
She is our Cute Friend Fox remember that
I for once never thought of Fubuki as a cat. I may have degrading eyesight but I cannot mistake a cat's ear to a fox one.
I've stopped doing that long ago. Honestly, the reason was not FBK herself. I am not an artist, but I do have an artist friend. Sometimes his works are being misinterpreted and he often told me how sad he is when that happened. That's when it somehow struck me that calling FBK a cat is an act of deliberate misinterpretation of an art... which like I said before my friend doesn't really like it and it made him sad so I thought it might also saddened her artist though I think we will never know how they feel. That's why I stopped.
Well now that FBK said it herself, let's keep it down a bit.
I watched this live but a translation like this is helping me a lot since my understanding of Japanese is definitely not high enough to understand the details of her words.
Cheers Des P! Keep up the good work. Thank you so much
You're the unsung hero and this is a much needed reminder to fan to tone it down.
It's never good to do anything in excess and that apply on forcing a joke to your favorite streamer.
this was bound to happen eventually considering the community makes like one or two joke per v-tuber and runs it into the ground
Some people refuse to kill the overused meme. They don't care about FBK's feelings
Im glad you posted this fully translated. This needs to be heard
Thank you for the translation 🙏
Hey mate, thanks for translating this clip and spreading Fubuki's request!
I'll try to spread the word whenever it's appropriate, it's much easier having this, so thank for it once more ^_^!
Thank u for uploading this, i wish everyone could actually listen to what she says.
That’s why I’m glad I’m not one of the vtuber fans that take one joke and run with it like it’s the only thing that exists. I’m in the Jojo fandom too so I already see it enough of people beating a joke into the dirt but it especially sucks if it’s upsetting her.
It does suck that there is people that do things like spamming one joke over and over.
I REJECTED MY NEKOANITY , JOJO !!
Thanks for the timely translation. As always, would be difficult for those of us overseas to get the picture without your help!
Thanks for the translation, Des.p
This clip video will help many overseas scorn club!😭👏
Spam is spam, even when intended as a joke
Because Fubuki itself already talk about this i hope the viewers especially overseas viewers that don't really understand japanese can stop spamming"Cat" on chat or anywhere not in the right time
This is the most effective way to stop something that the streamer itself don't really like it
In Sora's case when she told she don't want to be called goddess fortunately it's end very fast
Let's see how long this will need to stop and i hope it will end very fast but first we need more translator to clip this to spread it to everyone
Understandable. When people start to exploit certain jokes hoping that the other always correspond it, is annoying. Many of these streamers want to share a lot of experiences and new content, not only the current trending about them. If the vtuber doesn't push the topic by him/herself, we don't have the necessity to start spamming in the chat. Maybe new fans only expect the popular memes on the streams, but is not hard to see when a person feel uncomfortable.
You can only joke about someone so much that it just reaches a tipping point, and apparently, Fubuki reached her limit of cat jokes. But this is not just about Fubuki, this is about everyone; they don't show it, but I'm sure a lot of the talent are sick of the same memes over and over again.
After this I hope the fans stop using overused joke everytimes. I especially worried for Rushia gonna calling put people who still use the cutting board/boing boing jokes without read the atmosphere
Konkitsu konkitsu konkitsune!!
If you go too far, she won't be your FWIEND anymore.
Signal boost for the people who spam cat memes, please keep jokes relevant to the context of what's in the stream. They're great as long as they actually fit, but otherwise are simply spam that gets in the way and is a nuisance.
🍔 Hamburger 🍔
I feel like your message should be translated into Japanese too coz most likely she addresses the JP nikis also for being cringe at times.
@@ryzkyjaeger07 don't worry there's already JP clip about this and i watch that first before this
@@ryzkyjaeger07 its for everyone
The community has gotten worse when reddit came across hololive. You're always spamming the same few memes. You lack respect and self awareness.
Yeah, i've never make cat joke of Fubuki except when she's act like a cat
She's our beloved lovely fox after all
Wow, That was fast
Thanks for the live translations and translated clips!
Thank you Friend.
yeah, probably best to stop with most of the jokes that are abit iffy
imagine hearing again and again a thing you said weeks or even months ago that you might not even remember, especially hearing that when youre not in the mood...
with the echo chamber of clips that 'snapshot' a vtubers personality and the language barrier, its pretty hard to gauge whether the vtuber themselves are still on board with certain jokes in the fanbase
that being said, it's kind of sad (but understandle) that fubuki had to say this...
Unfortunately The JP girls are a lot more reserved. While Calli and the other EN girls will tell you straight up to stop, the JP girls will just bottle it up.
Makes you wonder how much the others dislike being called things like "Onion, Garlic, TMT". It's definitely a difficult guessing game because Subaru eventually embraced the duck and Kanata enjoys the Gorilla but does Pekora like being called a Comedian all the time?
The problem is it can be hard for the JP girls to voice their displeasure. Even now I see some people saying that Fubuki doesn't think this is a problem and to just not post it on Twitter but I don't think Fubuki likes the cat jokes at all. She just puts up with them...and that's not fun. It almost feels like actual bullying.
Even yagoos name is a joke because of Subaru but that will never get old
Overused jokes suck to begin with, but being the target of one has to be frustrating day in and day out the same damn thing.
Ok understood ^ ^ I'll tell my friends about this too thanks for translation.
thank you for the translation.. lets hope things will be better for her now..
I felt that.
Always props to you and all the other clippers who don't limit their content to "X said something YABAI", memes and lewd thumbnails. Sure, it's fun every now and then, but it gets bad when you people stop considering the feelings of the person behind the avatar.
I better see this video reposted on every FB page and groups and Twitter
I respect how calmly and respectfully Fubuki says this, and I'm glad she's being open about it. Her contract probably doesn't allow her to actually lash out at anyone, but I want everyone that sees this to understand how we might unconsciously hurt the girls by forcing expectations and jokes on them.
Y'know, if even the Meme Queen, the one that can joke about anything and bring comedy out from anything, is so saddened about this, how do you think the others *cofcof*Sora*cofcof*, who haven't voiced anything out, might feel?
Remember Sora in Coco's shitpost review, the shy and low "but I don't think I'm seiso..."? Remember Towa suddenly repeating TMT in Coco's review? Remember all the times that someone called Rushia pettan/cutting board when there was literally no joke about her, or Coco and Haachama having to constantly do "crazy" videos because that's what the fans expect from them, or Korone ***needing to ask if it was ok for her to use the SC money for her mother***?
Yes, they're professional streamers and are trained to endure. But their job is already hard for several reasons (antis, technical issues, irl problems, etc.), even though it's supposed to be fun and enjoyable. There's no reason for us to make their jobs harder because we don't know when to stop joking, or because we (be it intentionally or unintentionally) force our expectations on them.
Korone felt the need to ask if it was okay for her to use super chat money for her mother??? WUT?
What kind of nonsense IS THIS? JFC! We fans are obnoxiously entitled and insensitive sometimes
Kaigai nikis like to meme a lot, i hope this reaches a lot of them and they tone it down a bit ❤
I've seen some people (mostly on reddit) trying to downplay the fact that Fubuki thinks this is a problem. Which confuses me because this video seems to completely contradict that statement. She flatly says "I don't like being called a cat." How much more do you need? She doesn't like it, so stop it. No one is projecting anything, you just lack empathy. I thinks she just puts up with it because that's the sort of kind person she is, she usually doesn't say anything if it brings others joy even if it makes her sad to hear.
The only time it would be right to call her a cat is when she makes cat noises or explicitly seems to behaving catlike. She'll drop the hint when it's ok, trust her. But that's it. Well maybe if you make a meme about it...but nowhere else. Don't go on her twitter and randomly call her that. Don't jump into chat and randomly type it. Treat our friend like a friend should be treated.
hey, fubuki, you're the cutest fox ever
Thanks for translating this, I feel it's a very important message that needs to get to the community. It's sad to think that we might have been hurting her, that's the last thing most Hololive fans would want to do to Fubuki.
i wont call her a cat anymore, I'll just call her wife
i only do the cat joke in youtube comment because i thought she is comfortable with that joke. well i guess now its clear she doesnt like it. so, now im calling her "best friend fox"
Don't mess with us Hololive fans.
No seriously, we only have 5 jokes and spam them everytime.
lmao
FBK neko.
Rushia pettan.
HEY MOONA.
Tokino Soda.
Senchou is horni.
Suisei is suicopath.
Miko is elite.
Haachama is (????)
..... I think that's all?
@@Archedgar you forgot the most repetitive one, yagoo's dream.
Reddit and clippers are part of the problem
Thanks for the translation!
It always irked me a little to see this around in comments on twitter/stream even while I am just glancing over them. Not sure how prevalent it is for JP users, but for EN I definitely do see it fairly frequently used out of context. There's a time and place for jokes; even if your intentions weren't to hurt, it's still teasing, and should be done carefully.
It's common among JP viewers as well, the Twitter thread she was referring to was mainly filled with Japanese people replying with "cat" jokes, also many of the jokes Rushia gets about being flat come from JP viewers.
Im listening to this on stream but I don't understand most of it. I think it was about the neko memes and I'm kinda right. Thanks for translating
While I don't follow Fubuki a whole lot simply because there's so many talents to follow already (I really liked her playthrough of DKC2 a while back), I did wonder how much people would call her a cat when she's said she's a fox. Reine with the peacock/turkey thing and Kiara's phoenix/chicken mixup just adds to it - although Kiara doesn't seem to do much to get away from being a chicken so maybe she's the confused one there. All of these girls put themselves into their character, and have an idea of who they are and who they want to be, and while I know that fans may not mean it that way, it can really start to drain on a person when the persona you want to share gets teased. People just seem to want to repeat the same joke forever because it got a few laughs or attention in the past.
Our fox requests fresh memes.
if they spam the cat joke, there will be no proper discussion, and they will respond to all of situation with the overused joke
While this is something I don't participate in, it still hurts to hear. All I can say is that I'm glad it's being addressed and in so, it will be toned down. A joke is good, an overused joke can be good too, but there is a time and place, I love these girls and all I want is them to have fun and love us back, even if we step on eachothers foots.
Gomen ne, FBK-chan 😞😞😞
Nice translation I hope more people see this and be a little more aware next time.
If I'm understanding this right, she's saying that as a group, we need to learn how to tell jokes properly
She's saying she's tired of hearing it because it's a meme people have been jamming in her face for however long now. People are using the joke properly but the joke is generally at her expense and it would get annoying. Her saying only say the cat line after she consciously does something cat like is essentially saying don't make the joke unless she makes the joke. which is fine.
@@asdffsdafdsafdsa7877 if someone needs to explain that you shouldn't make a joke when it isn't relevant, you're failing somewhere in the comedy department, let's just be honest
@@goggles8691 her being tired of a joke and the joke being annoying doesn't mean it isn't relevant. The joke is "fbk is actually a cat" and she's telling someone how to make her seem more like a fox. how in the world is the joke not relevant in that situation. Maybe the joke was born out of her doing cat like things while being a fox but that doesn't mean it's only relevant when she does cat like things.
In the end, relevancy doesn't matter in her request, all that matters is she's saying "stop making the joke' which is fine and hopefully people stop annoying her with it.
@@asdffsdafdsafdsa7877 that's actually way more accurate. So I think it'd be more accurate to say that you're failing at comedy somewhere when someone needs to explain that the joke's getting beat into the ground instead of being about relevancy
Sad that it's come to this
Comment from Reddit user Sparkleaf-
Rushia seems to enjoy the pettan/boing boing jokes, but Suisei feels the same about them that Fubuki feels about the cat jokes. It would be nice if we could tone things down for all three and only use the jokes when it's relevant. I know I'm guilty of overusing the cat joke myself.
With Fubuki, I think one thing is that she loves her design, she loves Nagishiro Mito's art, she loves to put fox ears on everything. Saying "cat cat cat" is kinda overwriting that, and that's why it hurts her a little to see those jokes when they're not relevant. So it's not going to be a situation like how Subaru eventually embraced being a duck or how Kanata eventually embraced being a gorilla. (And even those might be overused.)
feel like she doesnt even like being called a cat not just overused. she genuinely didnt like people calling her a cat.
i'll refrain doing anything the streamer didnt like.
I stopped making cat jokes awhile ago because they were becoming way to over used. A joke is funny until the same one is told 1000 times over, then it just becomes old and dull. It's especially annoying to see these comments spammed in the chat on her streams. There's a time and a place for jokes. Something that's always good to think about is, even if something is new to you, how many times do you think the person that the joke is directed at has heard it? It's the same for Marine horny jokes or Rushia pettan jokes, there's a time and a place for those comments to be made, when they're relevant. I feel bad for any creator inside or outside Hololive that has to deal with people constantly coming at them with the same recycled, overused comments.
Yeah, repeated jokes can be excruciatingly annoying. Quite a different situation but I work in a retail store that sells alot of gardening material and animal feed and such in big 15-25kg sacks which I'm constantly restocking in the store, and seriously every other customer will jokingly remark how I won't have to go to the gym after work, it's almost maddening. I'll get home from work and the only thing I can remember of the day is that one damn line being told to me over and over.
I see, as a dumb overseas fan I thought the cat thing was something she didn't mind, hearing her put it this way makes me understand that that's not the case. Thank you for the translation!
Reject cat return to fox
Fubuki is best waifriebd fox i know pls don't call her a cat she is a cute Fox and a great friend to us all
On humor theory it's commonly about subverting expectations so if she does something catlike and you go "you are a cat" that's not funny it's just her acknowledging the meme and people also going "the meme exists"
so when she's talking about what people can do to make her seem more fox-like that's actually the most appropriate time for a "well that's all well and good, but you're a cat you know??" joke.
It's fine for her to tell people not to make the joke, and it is awkward to butt in on her giving advice to people on drawing but that also is when the "joke" works the best.
I do think the joke is overused, but yeah, her asking to be drawn more fox like is one of the best times to make the cat joke haha. It's probably due to this being so overused it turned into a "the straw that broke the camel's back" kind of thing. Even if that instance wasn't bad to use it, it being preceded by a lot of bad instances lead to her addressing it after it most likely.
WHO dare irritates the Fox God?! our waiFUBUKing
I can feel the great disappointment of our Waifriend...Yabe
This is why we can't have nice things. The thing I hate the most about the holo community is the overused jokes. It happened before and sadly it will continue to happen. FBK is a cat, Rushia is pettan, TMT, gura being mentioned a lot on ame's stream or viceversa, and now ayame's docchi docchi, her chat is always full of people requesting her to sing it. It's so annoying. It's nice to hear FBK speaking up about this and hopefully the other girls will follow, so the situation can improve.
Turns out people screeching a punchline without setup ruins a joke. Wish people understood humor more, or tact, or timing. But they’re too busy begging for attention even if it’s bad attention they don’t care they aren’t funny and are ruining the mood.
This isn't a community known for its originality. Doesn't help to get all its memes filtered through translation
I never know what to say about stuff like this where I feel almost involved but not really as I've never commented on one of her streams and never use things like twitter. Though I certainly do enjoy the cat memes and joke around about it with people I know irl so... though they are in the same position of not saying it anywhere she would see.
Goes to show many do not have any social awareness/tact to know when they have ran a joke into the ground. Reading the room is a social skill many ought to learn, really.
Jokes are only funny if they are saying at an opportune moment.
Agreed its kinda overused
Kinda why I usually turn off the chat when I watch a stream. The same jokes getting spammed all the time get so old so fast.
I feel so guilty
Don't be! If you didn't do it it's not your fault, and if you did you know better now ^_^!
Just help spread the word when you can!
Repeat the same joke over and over again and it will stop being funny very fast...
HOLY
FUCKING
BASED
SIGNAL BOOST THIS NOW
When the jokes has gone too far.
I get a feeling that viewers will continue calling her "cat" as long she's calling them "friend"
Speaking of overused jokes, has Ame ever told us to stop with ground pound jokes?
Why i feel guilty when im not even watching her stream or comment on her twitter
Oh, I thought the "NEKO JANAI !!" thing was a joke, especially since she makes the same joke when she 'meets' Polka in HoloGraf.
Alrighty, no more neko jokes from me about our Faasto Ktsune.
yeah it is annoying to have this joke going on for so long especially for fubuki
You know, I’m glad she’s addressing this. One time is funny, the second time it gets annoying. And what’s worse is that it doesn’t stop. I fully understand that jokes are jokes as long as they have context and a proper build up towards relevancy, but it’s not ok to bring it up randomly.
Frankly I’m getting tired of seeing the same joke over and over. I keep seeing “pettan” and “cat” so often, and a lot of the time it just happens without reason. I’ll be nice if the fandom can start getting creative with their execution once in a while.
Not saying I hate jokes or the hololive fandom. I love this community. I just hope people understand and tone it down a little or start getting creative. If one cannot be funny or think of an original pun, that’s fine. Just keep supporting and spreading love.
Thanks for this translation
Yes, the cat meme is kinda over the top much(I notice thats why I stop making memes about it), please use the joke in a proper context or maybe a friendly meme. If ever don't spam it on any of her social media and keep it moderately. She is still human behind all of this. Not saying I didn't do it or I didn't like it, but lets keep it in minimum.
First off, interesting to see her getting attached to her design. That's cute and real.
Second, this is a problem I'm having with the hololive fanbase for awhile actually. A lot of jokes have been ran down to the ground, especially the one-layered memes, yet people keep hanging onto them. I know it's kinda inevitable because the talents are still growing rapidly and newcomers are getting on the jokes too and the memes are spreading as they are designed to do. But maybe the fans who've stuck around could lower their frequencies to balance things out? Surely the joke has gone stale for you, and it'll be fun if we start catching on other jokes and make them relevant. It'll be good for the talents as they have more materials to utilize, and everyone will get more varities of fun. Just a suggestion. I can't control people en masse.
I think as she hears more and more of it, the sound in which she imagines people saying the word are straying away from the light hearted humor tone and become something imposing, or maybe demanding, like they are trying to steal away her preferred identity. She's someone who's already donning an avatar online. I think we have to be mindful about not robbing away even more than that. Lastly, kudos to her for speaking up.
Never underestimate how long a gag or joke will stick. Those old memes like pepe and big brain? Yea, some of them are still around, though not as frequent, but still big enough to be recognisable.
The internet is very beautiful but can also be very ugly.
No offence, but its not ever an achievable strategy to police a joke so that it maintains its comedy.
The internet will run every joke into the ground for years, and that just what you have to accept when you put anything onto the internet.
I mean Rick Rolling is still a meme used today, and we all know how long and old that joke is at this point. However there really is no controling the internet.
All you can do, is not contribute and wait it out. No more, no less.
That's the internet in general it feels like. People just like to parrot the same jokes forever. I imagine it all gets really, really tired for these people.
