I already have the Air Pod Max and love it 😍💘. If Apple makes an update I would consider purchasing the updated Max. I prefer it over the "buds". The Max sounds great amd prefer it over Sony or other brands.
i was so annoyed when all they did was change colors when there still are quite significant connection issues for these very exprensive but awesome headphones. i really wish they would address the actual issues
I was thinking of getting either the lightning or usb c version of the AirPod Max’s but got the Bose Quiet Comfort Ultra and I actually do like them. If the new AirPod Pros 3 come out I might get those instead.

The sound is/was very good in the 1rst gen with its original software. But throu out all the software updates, the sound quality degraded. Just keep the original software if you can get your hands on a brand new (2020) pair & don't upgrade the software if you care about the sound quality.
I disagree. I own both and prefer the sound in the max. Bigger drivers = better sound. I do wish the max had all of the options for pass through audio like the pro 2. If they come out with that, I will gladly drop the money again. The price is high, but you definitely get what you pay for.
Yeah, I kept my AirPods Max 1st gen and just got an attached Lightning to USB-C adapter from “Exploring the Simulation”. Now everything is on USB-C, no problems. Upgrading from the 1st gen APM to the 2nd gen APM is a HUGE ripoff.
If you like the headphones ….how they look 👀 feel and sound them buy them no matter what all the critics say….price 💰💰is a big deal breaker but they sound great and are super comfy for me and fit my ecosystem perfectly!!! Make your own decisions people 👊🏾👊🏾
Update the sound profile and add a new chip and bring back space grade or space black to the AirPods max and I will definitely buy them I have the lightning model and after a year and a half they started having connection problems and now they are completely dead. They no longer turn on. By the way, I wonder if anyone at Apple watches these videos and reads the comments if they do please. Fix these issues.

If the AirPods Pro 3 is coming out this year, I may upgrade to it. I lost hope to the new AirPods Max, there are so many other choices out there now is better than the old AirPods Max headphone. Why anyone would spend that much money for a sub-par headphone as this moment, when others are much cheaper.
Ive a pair of AirPods Max just recently bought, and I hate them, the most uncomfortable headphones Ive ever owned... Hurts my left ear, and puts a lot of pressure on my head....I can't believe Apple didn't think about peoples different head sizes... Plus the fact you can't actually turn them off is stupid... I was unable to return them, as I bought them in the US before xmas (sale) and live in Canada.. I don't think I'm interested in future version, unless a major change is made.

Like you, I have Apple everything. As you say, the AirPod Max don’t fold, but they really do sound amazing. The AirPod Pro, on the other hand, are singly the worst Apple product that I own. Sketchy connection, awful fit and mediocre sound.

They should make them lighter to wear. They can feel heavy and hurt your head or neck with extended use.
