30:57 One of my favorite camera shots from any show, ever. Jon is Ice, Ygritte is fire. Jon's side of the screen in blue, Ygritte's side of the screen is red from the fire in the background. It's so good.
3:19 Lindsay predicting Daenerys turning is so cool. Also 3:50 YES ASHLEY YOU GET IT. That's exactly what I love about GoT/ASOIAF 😄I'm so happy she understands it. Ashley and Lindsay both became really well versed in reading into the show!
Did you guys notice when Jon was fighting then Thenn in the courtyard, when his back was against the wall he pulled a Karl Tanner (The leader of the mutineers) by spitting probably mostly blood into the Thenn’s face like Karl did to him. He’s fighting like a free folk now, not like the Lord’s Bastard he was when he showed up at Castle Black! Character progression! 😄
Jon is the book's is totally a different character and is much more interesting, he's not just a Generic hero but extremely clever as well@@sproductionsinc
the archers being leaned out vertically on the wall, that reminds me of repelling.....i had gone back toward the ground, and face to the ground. I loved it both times, it was such an adrenaline rush
I love how the girls respect and understand the sacrifice from the guys in the tunnel. ------- They were scared to death but they keep their vows. They were the watchers on the wall. Keeping their oath till their watch ended. --------- It wasn't cold rolled steel that kept out the giant, it was the will of 5 nights watchmen.
"What happened? Climate change?" "Mance Rayder." "... not climate change." Never change Lindsay, never change. :) Also, loving Ashley understanding the perspective of the Free Folk. Too few people keep in mind that they're not pure evil (at least at this point of the story).
Martin loves to write "gray" characters, so it's pretty normal for the characters in his stories to be blends of good and bad traits. He almost never writes a pure "white hat"/"black hat" character.
I think Sansa's look says a lot. 1.) Its all black. As a Stark she would be very familiar with the nights watch, who wear all black and serve as "guards" to the realms of men. 2.) Its much more severe and less flowy....so she's guarding herself. 3.) There's no longer any fish or wolf embroidery to signify her Tully/Stark herritage, but there are feathers that might suggest Little Finger's mockingbird sigil. 4.) Her necklace resembles an embroidery hoop and needle but is far more like a weapon referencing Aria's "needle" and Sansa's patience and precision(embroidery takes time and skill). I think it shows she is not the naive little girl anymore, and she's starting to take her own plight into her own hands and starting to play "the game of thrones"
I love how Sam got Ollie back in the action by giving him the job to raise the elevator. -------- Ollie was traumatized to the bone, you ladies were terrified with Ollie, but you gals gathered the strength like Ollie to carry on. ------ Another intense episode 9.
@@Taesbilsigh, people can see it. We just disagree with how it's done and how it doesn't match up with similar things other characters do in the show. The portrayal of her as cartoonishly evil and the reframing of her past deeds as "obviously unhinged" is ridiculous because by the mortality of the show she is not especially evil. If you judge all the characters by modern standards they're basically all evil maniacs. But they don't get the same narrative treatment in the final season. That's poor writing. Arya is a case in point. By the end of the show she's murdering entire families, cooking them into pies and feeding them to their patriarchs, but that doesn't get framed as madness. It's still girl boss Arya! But people will go back and look at how Danaerys executed the wise masters and call it a sign of madness. It's poor writing.
@@IshtarNike You make interesting points! The subject of what constitutes as madness is certainly a puzzling one for this show and its fans. Arya certainly is a great example! With respect, I don't think everyone perceives Dany's character arc the same way, and that's only natural! It's a subjective matter and people's brains work in different ways. I knew someone who was completely stunned by Daenerys' "moment of madness" when she chose to burn King's Landing. In fact, I haven't had the opportunity to talk with others like me who picked up on the signs, so to speak, way before the last season. So my comment was entirely about that - I just found it pleasant to find others who perceived her arc the same way as I did 😄For me it's not about Daenerys being good or evil or even mad, it just seemed to me that she started making choices she previously wouldn't have made. That her values transformed, gradually. Those things made me think "Ah, she's changing". I found it a very interesting if also a very sad arc. And make no mistake, I'm not happy about what they did with her in the show. I agree that there was a lot of poor writing.
With all the violence in GOT it still intense to watch you girls react to the brutality of each battle. ------- I love how this episode took you girls back to the Battle of Blackwater Bay. Great analaogy ladies. Great reaction. --------- P.S. Especially the hammerr to the head of a that wildling.

Even tought, I dont really like Ser Alisser He is one of the few that I could have easily followed into the battle. He did a really good speech And may not be the hard man he try to be with them
I mean they should have. If I had to rewrite it all, I would have Sansa stay longer at the Vale so Baelish can teach her more about manipulation, politics, etc...As I understand in the books she is still at the Vale. And then spoilers have her go to the Boltons and play mindgames with Roose and Ramsey. Instead of Ramsey killing his dad cause his step mom got a baby, I would have Sansa seducing both Roose and Ramsey over time and pitting them against one another. Until Ramsey kills his dad out of jealousy. Then have Sansa stand over him with a smile.
@johnnyskinwalker4095 it's a hard job for like a 17y teenage Sansa. You have an inquisitive mind. Watch Claymore in HD sub free here on youtube. If our minds are alike, you'll love it, it's my favorite show ever.🤗

Ashley is right that there aren't many 'pure' characters, for good or evil. There's a lot of shades of grey in the cast. Even The Mountain I don't consider pure evil - he's mentally unstable and not particularly intelligent. He shouldn't be given the power he has because he's simply incapable of using it objectively. He lashes out because its all he's ever known, what was effectively bred into him from a young age. And repeated blows to the head have left him with constant migraines that he can only quiet temporarily with alcohol and extreme violence. Still an awful person of course. But I don't think his awfulness is a choice.

I've watched countless reactions to this show and watched it at least 3 times all the way through, and it just dawned on me during this watch through that, that little shit Ollie kills both lovers, Yggrite and John.
